A choice of two different boats to tour the Grenadines

We have two vastly different boats to take you around the fabulous Grenadine Islands: KALIMBA is our Beneteau Oceanis 45 sailing yacht dating from 2012. She is a great yacht to sail the Grenadine Islands, awarded Yacht of the Year in 2012 she is fully equipped including a generator and a water maker (unlimited fresh water showers!). Kalimba has 3 cabins and additional sleeping for 2 in the saloon, Kalimba is skippered and is available for 4 to 6 guests. Our base is at Port Louis in Grenada and departing from there we tour the fantastic Grenadine Islands such as Union, Carriacou, Tobago Cays, Mustique, Bequai. Alternatively come aboard KALIMBA TOO our SACS Stratos 42ft RIB powerboat. Kalimba Too will whisk up to 10 guests to the Grenadine Islands and our tour offers accommodation in local island guest houses. Staying for two nights on each island you can explore the islands, eat at local restaurants and experience the local bars. Our powerboat will take you from Grenada to Carriacou and onwards to Union, Mayreau, Bequai, Tobago Cays, Mustique. Pricing on this page is for full weekly charter of our sailing yacht Kalimba. For individual cabins, per person rates and Kalimba Too powerboat prices (either per person or as whole boat charter including accommodation), please contact us for further details. These are fantastic holidays and feedback from previous guests tells us thats its ' the most relaxing adventure you'll ever have!!'

What makes this yacht unique

We love the Caribbean, and particularly the pristine Islands of the Grenadines and the friendly local population. Sadly, though, tourism in the region is becoming increasingly focused on 5 star, all inclusive resorts and massive cruise liners. These bring little benefit to the local businesses such as guest houses, restaurants and bars. Being 'all inclusive' there is little reason to step outside the resort, or the cruise ship for either food or drink. Local businesses set up to cater to tourists needs suffer. Through our tours we hope, in a small way, to bring the life back into Caribbean tourism, bringing customers to restaurants and bars, and if you choose to come on our powerboat Kalimba Too, business to small local guesthouses on each of the islands visited by our itinerary.

Great trip!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were in Grenada for vacation and decided to add a short sail as part of our stay. Very glad we did. Peter was fantastic. The perfect amount of giving out info and stories without too much. We were able to enjoy the 3 day trip without an over zealous Captain showing off. Peter and the crew were great. Peter was very accommodating and flexible with our schedule. Very low key and no stress.

Again, short trip but we got in a good amount of sailing and snorkeling, as well as some nice beach time on two very beautiful beaches.

Dinner on the islands both nights was great too.

Next time we would want to be on board longer to travel further north and see what sounds like even more beautiful islands! Great trip Peter. Thank you!

Holiday Adventure of a Lifetime!!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a holiday of a lifetime on Kalimba. 2 weeks of paradise! I am/ was a totally inexperienced sailor, but never once felt uncomfortable. Peter sails his yacht with a relaxed ease and is totally in control. We all had little jobs to do, which were expertly handed out by Peter, who seems to have an incredible knack of spotting people’s strengths and weaknesses. The yacht is beautifully maintained, inside and out and sleeping on the boat is so relaxing with the fantastic gentle rocking motion and the complete fresh air of the sea.

We visited St. Lucia and various islands, all of which were beautiful but the various islands of Bequia and Mayreau were just fantastic. The beaches and bays of all the islands are just stunning! On the 8th day of our cruising, we sailed into Grenada and its marina and our last three days were spent relaxing on the beach and two exhilarating trips on Peter’s 43ft rib/ speedboat. We went to the beach one day and then to a barbeque on Sunday at Hog Island, which was great fun. We even got a round of applause from the locals for turning off Robbie Williams, which was coming out a bit too loud on the boat’s stereo system! They seem to prefer Bob Marley!

All in all, I could not recommend this holiday of a lifetime more. It was so relaxing and really made by our laid back skipper, who was great company and a great chance to see the unspoilt Caribbean as opposed to the more formal resorts.

Holiday of a lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

Just wanted to thank you again for the most amazing experience of our lives! I've traveled all over Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, North America, etc but no holiday compares to the unique experience we had sailing the caribbean on the Kalimba yacht for 2 weeks. This type of holiday is a match made in Heaven for adventurous types with a passion for travel and an appreciation for life. As written on the walls of Robert Righteous's bar in Mayreau, "Live, Laugh, Love, Dance" and that we certainly did! This adventure was like no other - to see such beautiful and wondrous secluded islands, to learn to sail, and enjoy the local authentic flavors and absorb the culture right in the heart of it all. Walking up the steps from the cabin to the deck each morning and having my breath taken away by the sight of paradise before me is a memory that is forever etched in my heart and mind. Thank you for creating this lifetime memory for us. We look forward to making this an annual getaway and bringing along more friends and family to join us next time.

Dream holiday

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three weeks sailing around St Vincent and the Grenadines with our two boys aged six and twelve.

This without doubt was the best holidays we have ever taken.

If you could only take one more holiday in your lifetime this is the one to do.

Our thanks go out to the captain Pete for delivering an experience we will never forget.

Thanks the Barker family.

The Only Way To See The Caribbean

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what a trip!

Our first time in the Caribbean and what a fantastic experience, the warm breeze and crystal clear waters made sailing the yacht Kalimba a truly magical experience. The days would start with a plunge before breakfast followed by relaxing in the sun, sight seeing or sailing to the next new location on our itinerary. The local food was excellent and could be washed down with a variety of soft drink (or rum cocktails!), alternatively a meal or BBQ on Kalimba with a glass of wine and watch the sun setting over the ocean.

The Captain had a good local knowledge of the islands and could take us to one of the lovely secluded beaches for swimming and snorkelling, to a national park to swim with the turtles or to some great night spots for a beach party.

Kalimba was always clean and well presented with plenty of space on deck to relax, we would recommend Kalimba as a romantic getaway or family holiday and hope to return one day.

A+L
