The Lone Elk Lodge has three luxurious condominiums conveniently located near Glacier National Park.
Each condo features a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances and tools needed to prepare family meals. Handcrafted knotty alder cabinets and granite counter tops create a beautiful space to prepare and share meals. The living rooms areas feature a gas fireplace, flat screen TV with satellite programming, wireless Internet, and comfortable furniture for relaxing after a long hike or ski. The beds are all new and very comfortable. There is a front-loading washer and dryer in each unit. Bathrooms have tiled shower and tub stalls with European glass doors, and lots of fluffy towels. Each unit has a private deck with a gas grill and deck furniture and an awesome view of the surrounding mountains.
The adjectives to describe Lone Elk Lodge are; comfortable and homey and
peaceful after our long walks through ruggedly beautiful country. We started
and ended each day very much at ease - and we did see a lone elk across the
meadow. We enjoyed all our adventures - the variety of life zones along the
Firebrand Pass trail was incredible - Aspen, Pine, flower-filled meadows, lush
vegetation and low plant life high up among the rocks - the alpine lakes and
magnificent vistas we encountered on other other adventures - the goats,
sheep, marmots, ground squirrels we met up close. Then our return to the
comforts of our accomodations - a fine retreat and respite.
Lone Elk Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It is beautifully furnished, and equipped with anything you might need. Leslie was also very hospitable, and gave us tips on great hikes in GP, places to eat., etc. We loved our stay at Lone Elk Lodge and hope to come back again soon!
We enjoyed our stay at Lone Elk Lodge during our visit to Glacier National Park. Beautiful location with comfortable bedrooms and living space. Leslie and Carl are wonderful hosts!
We had 10 people in our group and stayed for 3 days. The lodge, the rooms and the kitchen were all fantastic. The lodge was immaculate and very Inviting. Carl and Leslie were available for any questions we had and also had great suggestions for sightseeing. We hope to return to Glacier again and will certainly stay at the Lone Elk Lodge. If you are looking for a beautiful, immaculate and friendly environment to stay in, Lone Elk Lodge is the place to stay. Thank you Carl and Leslie for a vacation we will never forget!
Four of us, two couples, had a wonderful stay in the Rising Wolf unit. Booking was easy, and Leslie and Carl helped us with questions and suggestions both before and after arrival. The location was perfect as we prefer the less-crowded East Galcier setting, and access to the park and fishing was convenient. Lone Elk Lodge is located close to East Galcier Park and to some great eating establishments. The Rising Wolf unit was clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. We highly recommend Lone Elk Lodge as your base from which to explore Glacier National Park. And a sincere thank you to Leslie and Carl!
Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at the Lone Elk Lodge. Location: It is located just a few minutes from the East Glacier entrance to the park, but to reach the St Mary's entrance (which is where the Going to the Sun Road and most of the park sites/activities are) is a 45 minute drive. Lone Elk Lodge is a great choice if you want quality, comfort, and quiet, plus beautiful mountain views through the windows and off the deck. We appreciated that the Owner left us suggestions on places to eat, drink, and things to do in the area.
Absolutely enjoyed our week long stay at Lone Elk Lodge, Two Medicine unit. The unit was perfectly sized for two of us, me and my wife. The bed was very comfortable; for a person with light sleep like my wife, she had a very good sleep all nights. Unit was equipped with not just pots and pans but smallest amenities one would need. The view from our room was totally amazing.
Leslie and Carl are wonderful people and amazing hosts. They were always available and extremely helpful in answering all our queries, provided us with useful tips for planning our hikes.
Would look forward to again come back and stay at their beautiful place.
Other Activities: We are a short drive to the Two Medicine Entrance of Glacier Park, with miles of scenic hiking trails and a fishing-friendly lake.
