There is a comfortable seating area inside the rounded bay window giving further opportunity to admire the incredible scenery.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
La Tzoumaz Chalet Calon is ideal for 8 people, but can accommodate up to 10. The four bedrooms and four bathrooms have each been thoughtfully decorated and finished to give a luxury feel. There are two double rooms and two twin rooms, one of which has windows overlooking the living area and its double-height windows. The master bedroom sits inside a feature rounded bay window and the sofabed on the open mezzanine can accommodate up to 2 people. There is an additional guest WC on the main living floor. Chalet Calon is equipped with a high-chair and a cot suitable for children under 2 years old.
The kitchen is fully fitted to meet the needs of cooking for large groups, including a fridge/freezer, oven and induction hob,. There is a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-machine, plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. Washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use.
When you get home from a hard day on the slopes, why not unwind in the sauna before settling into a comfortable seat in the bay window for afternoon tea? You can send the children upstairs to play on the mezzanine area, and relax on a delightfully comfortable sofa in the sitting room. As you watch the large, flat-screen television, try not to be distracted by the beautiful and ever-changing views from the windows behind the screen. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, which tower 2000m over the Rhone Valley floor below. When the snow is falling, you can watch it drifting slowly past you, as it settles over the traditional village of Iserables across the nearby valley.
Chalet Calon is equipped with high-speed WIFI for your own private use.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier.
In the peak summer season from early July to late August, the telecabin link to Verbier operates daily from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
La Tzoumaz Chalet Calon
We are Percy and Anna Kirkman, and we live in La Tzoumaz all year round, love outdoor sports, and are passionate about the beauty and opportunities of the region. We are fluent in both English and French. Originally from England, we both followed international careers within Procter & Gamble before making a life-changing move to the mountains at the end of 2013. We believe we are the most customer-focused professional holiday rental agency here in the resort, and we work hard year-round to find ways to improve our services to you as holidaymakers.
Anna purchased this chalet in 2014
We believe the region of La Tzoumaz is magical. It has access to some of the best skiing in Europe, hundreds of kilometres of majestic hiking, fantastic mountain bike trails, wonderful family footpaths, and is a delight to live in all year round. We want to help other people to enjoy La Tzoumaz all year round, both now and into the future.
Spectacular views, modern, very well equipped chalet. We've stayed here twice now we loved it so much!
First time we stayed was in the winter with 3 families. Age range baby-70 year old! Fantastic ski links to the 4 Valley ski area and non skiers in the group enjoyed days out in Sion, Montreux, Crans Montana and Verbier the second time was in the summer. It's a fantastic base to explore the stunning area and LA tzoumaz offers amazing bike trails and walks.
The chalet also has a sauna, which we used a few times after skiing. The bathrooms are modern and everything is finished to a high standard, the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need.
We absolutely loved the uninterrupted views of the valley! Perfect for a BBQ in the summer or a drink after skiing.
The agent were very helpful and made our stay stress free. It was a very enjoyable holiday and we would definitely consider staying at chalet calon again.
Great all around. The accommodations and the help from the agents. So much more mountain to explore.
Lovely new chalet with good mountain views. Bit of a distance from ski lift but happily free shuttle bus to the lift stops just at the top of the driveway every 20 min. We enjoyed fact there is a sauna (though didn't get chance to use it), good sized tv, Bose speaker for iPhone & possibly most importantly choice of good feathered rectangular pillows vs square foam pillows.
The versatile resort of La Tzoumaz is nestled just over the back of Verbier’s Mount Savoleyres with access to all of the famous Verbier 4-Valleys slopes and off-piste areas in winter. In summer, the mountains become a paradisaical network of hiking trails and mountain-bike routes, with something for every taste. From La Tzoumaz you can ride the same legendary pistes and powder bowls, but accommodation prices are only a fraction of those in Verbier itself! Every property is prepared to high standards and each has a stunning panoramic view of the mountains and valley. The resort is only 1h45 from Geneva Airport, and transfers can be arranged on request. We live in the resort year-round and are on hand to welcome you on your arrival and to help you with anything you might need to know or arrange, whether before, during or after your stay. If we’re not in the office, we’ll gladly take your call even if we’re out enjoying the biking, hiking or skiing for ourselves…
