Florida : Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach, Florida sand and surf -- and sunbathers -- appeal to your senses, then Daytona Beach is where you'll want to plop down your beach towel and chair. The self-proclaimed 'World's Most Famous Beach' is an epicenter of activity for college students, NASCAR racing fans and bikers from mid February through March, when they descend on the 23-mile stretch of white hard-packed sand. The rest of the year, the town is a balmy beach haven appealing to all age groups, from little kids assembling sand castles to seniors basking in the ocean breeze. While lying on the sand is a time-honored activity, so is driving on the beach -- the silica is so hard-packed that vehicles are permitted as long as they keep their cruising speed below 10 mph. When you tire of the surf and sand, there are plenty of local haunts where you can eat, party and shop in the Daytona area.
Daytona Beach is only an hour away from Orlando’s theme parks, St. Augustine and the Kennedy Space Center. See where the Shuttles take of and plan a trip to Disney World or Universal Studios.
If the Idea of sunny weather and beautiful beaches isn’t enough to have you packing for Florida in February, the of that roaring excitement and cheering crowd will. The Daytona 500 is the climax of speed weeks.
Daytona Beach area has 23 miles of beaches, and is home to numerous attractions including the South east museum of Photography, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and museum, Tomoka State Park, Sugar Mill Gardens, Bulow Plantation Ruins State Historic Site and Casement, former winter home of John D. Rockefeller.
So, get ready for an incredible experience up-close at the Daytona 500!
Very, very happy with our stay! We had 3 requirements for our stay 1) clean 2) inexpensive 3) on the beach. This place filled all the requirements and we couldn't be happier! I researched many places as this was my first trip to Daytona Beach. The pictures were accurate of the rooms. Because this website doesn't show the view, I almost passed on it, but the owner's website shows the view from the balcony after I inquired. It's a side view, but still can see and hear the ocean. Considering the price, this was an awesome place! It was super clean, two huge TV's (which we barely used as we were on the beach the whole time), everything we needed in the kitchen area, a great pool deck, and a beach cart (an unexpected surprise) to cart all our stuff to the beach (and then down to the car after our stay). If I had anything negative to say (and keep in mind that I am more than happy with my stay, but just so you are expecting the right thing) the 2nd bathroom is a little old (finish is rubbed off the tub in places) and the balcony is a little small (however, there is oversized comfortable furniture, so that is understandable - two people max on the balcony - which is all that we had, so it worked well) however inside, you easily have plenty of seating in the living and dining area for visitors or a small family. The owners were very quick to answer all inquiries and and would recommend to all our friends. We will definitely come back and are looking forward to staying here again!
This condo is exactly as described. The view from deck and entry is fanstastic. it is clean and very well maintained. The pool area is wonderful and right there on the beach also. The owners will go above the customer service if needed. I had relatives visit while there and they already have the info to rent this property. It is in walking distance to everything, but if you are not up for walking, then driving there is a breeze. I will stay here again>
