Welcome to Sugar Pine Lodge.
Sugar Pine Lodge is built on Dollar Point, the largest peninsula on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. This 4,600 sq. ft. estate offers three master suites, and sleeps 16 in beds. The house has a beautiful view of the Lake, is less than 100 yards from lakeshore, and is close to Tahoe City, Casinos, and an abundance of outdoor activities year around. In addition to the living area there is an attached garage available for your use.
There is a spectacular southerly view of the lake from the top floor. The main living and entertaining areas of the home enjoy a glass wall looking to the South Shore, and the face of Mt. Tallac dominates the horizon in the distance. The top deck has a large table for outdoor meals in the summer, or a hot cocoa in the winter. The second and lower floors all have partial views of the lake, and their own porches for a quiet retreat. This custom built lodge is beautifully furnished and features clear redwood trim throughout the house. The living room fireplace is built of large granite boulders from the local area. The dining room is furnished with antique hand carved Spanish furniture and a table to seat twelve. The large gourmet kitchen has granite countertops, granite island and wood bar with seating area for cooking, eating and gathering for breakfast, lunch or buffet dinners. It is a great area for multiple families to interact.
This 3-story large family home has 3 master bedrooms, each with a separate bath. The main master has a fireplace in the suite. The other masters have their own private baths. The bunk room sleeps 6, one bedroom with 2 twins, and the game room with pool table and a fireplace has a Murphy bed that might be the most comfortable mattress in the whole house. Four beds are hand hewn local cedar. Thermostats are in each bedroom for separate adjustment. Two large water heaters provide ample hot water for any season.
Dollar Point has 6 tennis courts and a swimming pool, all within walking distance used only by residents and their guests. It has an exclusive beach with a pier, barbecue, and volleyball court. Guest cards for the amenities are provided as part of the rental. All are within easy walking distance of the home.
The Sugar Pine Lodge is ready to provide you and your family, church leadership group or corporate executive retreat the very best in accommodations to ensure your visit to Lake Tahoe is full of wonderful memories.
This was a beautifully appointed home as described and well equipped with everything you might need. The amenities in the development are great, as is the location for any recreation you may desire.
While we were there, the garbage disposal broke and within an hour of our phone call someone was there to repair it, very impressive service.
Our family of fifteen included multiple generations, and we arrived with three toddlers in tow. One of them tumbled down a flight of hardwood stairs. It was scary, but he was fine. It is a difficult house for toddlers and babies. After day 3 they were all navigating the stairs very well, but we were still anxious. If Sugar Pine Lodge is still available for rental when we return to Lake Tahoe, they will be older and we certainly hope to rent again there.
This was a great place for 3 families. We were able to all stay together in the HOUSE, not a hotel. The home was very clean and had every thing we needed. Lots of room for all of us to do our own thing or gather as a group to play games. The cycling is great, on the road or the trails on the river or around the lake. The breakfast, lunch or dinner at Sunnyside, along with the views, are hard to beat. I will be craving their fried zucchini. The kitchen in this house is very large, we were able to have several 'chefs' working at he same time making big dinners for everyone. It was nice for all us to be able to sit at the long dinning room table enjoying great food and stories. The steps we had to take to rent this property were very simple. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and we WILL be back.
Sugar Pine Lodge was our HQ for 12 golfers to share for 4 days! A private tournament . . The Fly Open in its 8th year. Dollar Point is the only subdivision on the north shore that has a large swimming pool, a private beach and pier, and two separate tennis facilities. The top floor of the house has a lake view from the living room, dining room and kitchen. The huge living room, complete with a fireplace of huge granite bolders, 4 couches and an adjoining porch on the lake side. It has a dining room that seats 12 with antique Spanish furnbiture. The kitchen has a large stove, an extra oven, and a microwave as well as a colorful gull granite counter top.
Ideal for entertaining. We had Bar-BQ each night from the porch and our Italian chef prepared the dinner with help from the crew. We had alot of fellowship without having to drive to a restaurant. Anyone in the kitchen is not left out because the top deck does not have separate rooms, but a long A-frame design with huge fir glu-lam beams and open ceiling with sky lights. The middle deck has 2 master bedrooms with adjoining baths. Both kingsize beds are made from jhand hewn pine logs made in Tahoe. Both bathrooms are done in artistic tile. There is a middle twin bedroom with a private bathroom across the hall.
The bottom deck has a master suite with adjoining bathroom and log bed at one end, a middle bunk bedroom that sleeps 6 with a BA across the hall and a large Rec Room with a pool table and a queen size Murphy wall bed. There is a private BA adjoining the Rec Room. It has a new washer and dryer with 2 80 gal. hot water tanks. Heat is a hydroponic system with a separate thermostat in each room. A great facility for a large group.
My husband and I plus several of our dearest friends rented Sugar Pine Lodge for America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride. We found the accommodations to be superior in every aspect. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and the large dining room table provided plenty of room for several fabulous dinner parties. We found SPL to be conveniently located to grocery shopping and restaurants. We will be going back and I would not hesitate to highly recommend Sugar Pine Lodge to anyone interested in a relaxing, well-equipped vacation home. The only negative that comes to mind is the home is so cozy you hate to leave it!
This gorgeous home is our favorite place to stay as it is perfect for family gatherings and is the best for taking in brilliant views of the Lake. We filled each room and had plenty of comfortable space. We love that every room has a bathroom! There are decks to enjoy on three levels and the game room is awesome. The kitchen is a perfect size complete with everything to fix grand nightly dinners. There is so much to do within walking distance and for athletes, the challenges of running and biking all around Northshore are excellent and endless. We will return as often as our busy schedules allow us to call it "home" again! Thankyou for such a wonderful location and lovely home!
Lake Tahoe is breathtakingly beautiful. I marveled in its majesty on our recent vacation. Every morning I woke up at Sugar Pine Lodge my family and I sat on the top floor deck drinking coffee and looking at the beautiful blue water, sky, and snowcapped mountains. The location of Sugar Pine Lodge was perfect for all of the many activities we enjoyed while saying there. We went on several hiking trips, walked, biked, shopped, swam, played sand volleyball, and relaxed on the Dollar Point beach along the shore of the lake. Besides the great location, the lodge itself added so much to our trip. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our whole group, a game room where the kids and adults played pool and games, and a large comfortable living room with a fireplace, where we gathered to enjoy family time. With a kitchen that included everything we possibly needed, we prepared meals at the Lodge several evenings. Some of my favorite memories of our stay, took place with our family and friends enjoying the meals we prepared around the beautiful, large, dining table. My favorite memory; however is that my son proposed to his girlfriend on the Dollar Point pier at sunrise on our second day there. How romantic is that! The children and adults all agreed it was definitely our favorite vacation spot. We plan to go back every year, and highly recommend Sugar Pine Lodge at Lake Tahoe for the perfect vacation destination.
