A modern 3 bedroom duplex apartment in an excellent location in the centre of Sitges, close to shops and restaurants and 3 minutes walk from the beach and seafront. The property comprises a well- equipped kitchen, open plan living/dining room (TV, DVD, and satellite TV) with sliding glass doors opening onto a pleasant sunny terrace with furniture. Downstairs there are 2 double bedrooms (one very spacious with en-suite bathroom), a further bathroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds (suitable for children). The two double bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. The larger double bedroom could accomodate a travel cot. From the entrance hall there are stairs leading up to a large private roof terrace with furniture, a brick barbeque and views over the rooftops towards the sea. The property is furnished in contemporary style and has central heating and air-conditioning. There is a parking space for 1 car in an underground car park. The property has wifi and satellite TV.
Sitges: Sitges has been a resort since the 19th century and has its own dignity and style that regular visitors know and love. Sitges is popular with both gay visitors and families with children. With its beautiful beaches and promenade, charming old quarter, first class fish restaurants and diverse nightlife, Sitges has something for everyone. Sitges can get very busy in high season (July and August) so if you are looking for peace and quiet then this resort may not be for you. Out of high season the town is much more relaxed.
There is now a public (indoor) swimming pool in Sitges which is around a 20 minute walk from the apartment. There is no public outdoor pool in Sitges, however there is an outdoor pool in nearby San Pere de Ribes, a 5 minute journey away.
Barcelona: Barcelona is the heart, both culturally and spiritually, of Catalonia. This cosmopolitan, Mediterranean city is only a 30-minute train ride away from Sitges. Trains leave Sitges regularly to Barcelona approximately every 20 minutes from morning until night. A visit of the works of Europe´s most innovative architects, Antoni Gaudí ( The Sagrada Familia, La Pedrea, Park Guell and Guell Palace) is just one of the many cultural delights of this beautiful place. As well as the Modernist architecture and the art of Picasso and Miró, this vibrant city offers the eerie chill of the Gothic quarter, the harbour promenade, the flowers and the street artists of ‘Las Ramblas’ and the magnificent mountain miradors of Tibidabo and Montjuic.
The apartment: The apartment is situated in the centre of the old town just minutes away from the shops and restaurants. The beaches and promenade are a short 3 minute walk away. The apartment is 10 minutes walk from Sitges railway station and the wonderful covered market. Here you can buy fresh bread and pastries, a huge variety of fresh fish, meat, and fruit and vegetables every day except Sunday. There is a selection of good supermarkets and local shops including an excellent fish shop within a few minutes walk of the apartment. Parking in Sitges can be very problematic, especially in high season. The apartment has the benefit of a parking space in an underground car park below the block. This is a real advantage as the few public car parks in Sitges can be expensive.

About Caroline Hoyle
The apartment is owned by the Hoyle family. We use it mainly as a holiday home for ourselves as we have family living locally in Sitges/Barcelona.
Why Caroline Hoyle chose Sitges
The apartment benefits from a central location with easy access to the shops and restaurants in Sitges, and to the beaches. Because we use it regularly ourselves as a holiday home it is comfortable and very well equipped. We leave a stock of non-perishable essentials in the kitchen such as washing up liquid, cleaning products, sugar, salt and pepper, tea and coffee etc. which guests are welcome to use. Hopefully our guests will find it a home from home! Please be aware that the apartment is in a residential block and we therefore request that guests keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 23.00 - 8.00. If you are looking for a place to have parties this is not the place for you.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is very light and airy and benefits from two terraces. The roof terrace is particularly spacious and has a brick built barbecue and large dining table and chairs for 6. It is a lovely cool place to enjoy an evening meal in the heat of the summer with views over the roof tops of Sitges.

Great accommodation in a lovely location
This was a great apartment for our family with older teenagers - lots of space for everyone. The location is very central with all amenities close to hand. Day trips to Barcelona were easily manageable. We would highly recommend the apartment and the location. Thank you to Caroline and James for their advice and instructions, all very clear and made travelling by public transport a breeze.
Wonderful apartment in ideal setting
The apartment was ideal for a family of five. There was ample space and the air conditioning made it so comfortable. The roof top dining space was a real bonus and we had a choice of outdoor eating with the balcony too. The apartment was really near the action but also quiet too. Three supermarkets were withing a few minutes walk.
Great apartment, excellent location and wonderful service
We spent a week at the apartment and had a wonderful time. The apartment is as advertised, wonderfully appointed and the location is perfect for a stay in Sitges. Caroline and James provided great information and the overall engagement was tremendous. Highly recommend staying at their place.

Carolyn and James were perfect host. James was very personable, answered all our questions, and helped get us settled into the apartment and the area. Any problems with the apartment were immediately taken care of. Very pleasant stay. Would highly recommend staying here.
Seldom have I stayed in such a lovely apartment. It really is wonderful. Home from home in so many ways. Well located and quiet. Just fantastic all round with lots of well thought of touches and a superbly equipped kitchen. I would not hesitate to return and look forward to an opportunity to do just that. The town of Sitges is situated about 20 kilometres south of Barcelona backed by the Garraf mountains. Sitges is one of Catalonia's most famous resorts and is known for its relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. Even in the height of summer when very busy, Sitges is charming with the long promenade, the Passeig Maritim, curving along the many beaches. There are a number of beaches and a wide variety of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. Sitges is a 30 minute train journey from the centre of Barcelona (trains run every 20 minutes) and a convenient base from which to explore this cosmopolitan city. Other attractions close by include the Port Aventura theme park and water park which is 1 hour from Sitges by train. The Aqua Leon water park can also be reached easily by car (45 mins) or by bus. Alternatively you may wish to combine a city break in Barcelona with some time in the more relaxed atmosphere of Sitges.
