Clean and pleasant

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the next-door cabin last year (#6). This year it was #5. Same owner, same setting. Cabin is very clean and pleasant. Has a nice kitchen, washer and dryer, which I usually need for a longer stay. The owner is a very welcoming guy. You'll have everything you need for a family vacation. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I was happy with my stay both years.

Great "Town & Country" location

  • 5 of 5

This cozy cabin is just 5 minutes to the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park which gives you easy access to many of the most popular areas of the park. This made it easy for us to go back and forth to the park a couple of times in a day. On the other hand, you are still just a few minutes from everything that “downtown” Estes Park has to offer. (Although on a busy weekend, traffic into town can be bumper to bumper.) Gas stations, convenience stores, restaurants and more are close by.

Despite being so close to everything, the cabin is located in a small enclave adjacent to the Big Thompson River. It is so quiet you can hear the river flowing by. The deck offers a beautiful view of the river. There is convenient access to the river just a few steps away via a common area with a bench and a picnic table situated in a large grassy space. Estes Park is a “dark sky” community so the stars shine brightly overhead on clear nights.

The interior of the cabin is comfortable and very clean and looks like the pictures in the listing. It is evident that it has been recently updated and decorated. The kitchen is nicely equipped including quality paper and soap products. We found the bed comfortable with a good supply of linens for the beds and bath. The cable and wifi had good signals and the large flat screen TV was good quality.

The owner was easy to deal with and communicative before arrival and during our stay. We had told him this was a special anniversary trip for us and he had arranged for a lovely surprise for us upon arrival. That special touch speaks well of his care for his guests.

Such a great experience

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for three nights. It was our first time in Estes Park. This cabin is close to everything you need. I don't think we had to drive more than ten minutes anywhere except when we went deep into Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin was very beautiful and cozy. The fireplace is very easy to use. And the appliances in the kitchen worked well. We used just about all the kitchen utensils to cook our meals. The creek out back was nice to walk to with a morning coffee. And the board games were nice for our four year old son. (Who also loved the bunk beds). I would recommend this cabin to everyone I know. Plenty of space and just so cozy we had a wonderful time!

Just Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. We were two couples, 4 nights. Cabin is very comfortable. We had privacy if we wanted it and enough room to all hang out if we wanted that! It's very clean and beautifully decorated. You'll have everything you need with this has all things you need to cook a nice meal, really nice appliances...great water pressure in the shower, soft water, soft towels and linens.... Our favorite part was the collection of board games which we played every night (that the Cubs weren't playing) Loved walking down to the river in the morning or up the hill to watch the sunrise. We ran into lots of Mule Deer on those excursions. The river is just a couple steps away and is also a great place for stargazing. RMNP is very close to the cabin. So close that we once drove back to use the bathroom rather than use the stinky bathrooms at the trailhead! Downtown Estes Park is just as close! Nothing is out of your reach cabin is in a great location. There is nothing quite like Colorado in the fall. It's paradise.

Alex, the owner, was wonderful! Very responsive and offered us tips which we really appreciated. We hope to come back soon. Thank you for sharing with us!!!

Our Stay in Estes Park

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 10 nights at Alex's cabin #5 in Estes Park. It was very comfortable and updated nicely with a well equipped kitchen. It had everything we needed for a 1+ week stay. We were happy to meet Alex one morning as he wanted to get us a snow shovel for the upcoming expected snow storm. He was very helpful and answering some of our questions about the area and our questions about seeing elk around our cabin. It was very convenient to downtown Estes and getting to the RMNP. Also many restaurants and Lake Mary was close by. It was close to everything, including where we were meeting in the mornings and Alex showed us 2 shortcuts to our meeting place that would take us around the busy downtown traffic and some construction. The whole experience was great for us and beds were comfortable. The only small thing I would have liked to see in the bedrooms would be a chest of drawers, especially when staying for a week, rather than having to live mostly out of the suitcase. However, that still would not keep us from returning. We enjoyed walking the short walk down to the river and the sound of it when we were outside. We watched elk several times jumping the fences between properties down by the river and hearing them bugle. We would definitely stay there again if and when we are able to make it back to the Estes Park are.
