Welcome to the “Oldest Summer Resort in America” Enjoy this beautiful waterfront property on Sergeants Lake. We are just 4 miles from downtown Wolfeboro and Lake Winnapasaukee. Built in 2005, this four bedroom, 2.5 bath, open concept kitchen/living room house can accommodate individual families or groups of friends and families. The area provides year round activities- golfing, hiking, biking, dining, tax-free shopping, swimming, boating, skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, skating, fishing, art and music festivals.
Lots to do for adults and children.
We rented this house for Christmas and we really enjoyed the quiet and comfortable place. We definitely would come back to this house in the future.
Just a tip, I would have wifi internet for the tenants.
My wife and I rented this home for a weekend getaway with 8 of our closest friends. The pictures don't do the house justice as it was even nicer inside than we were expecting.
It's not a huge home in terms of square footage, but all of the space is used to its full potential. The main floor features a kitchen stocked full of everything you could need and complete with an island. The open concept leads from the kitchen to the combined dining area and living room. The dining table is HUGE and easily fit 10 people comfortably. The living room is cozy with a great gas fireplace that gives a nice log-cabin feel. A fresh coat of paint and cathedral ceilings were awesome as was the entire rear wall of the dining/living area, which is glass windows providing for a beautiful backdrop in the area of the home you'll spend the most time in. Additionally, the main floor also features a 1/2 bath with laundry and the master bedroom with a full bath and walk-in closet.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms with a variety of bed sizes and arrangements suiting most any combination of family and friends. There is also another full bath!
We were unable to use the basement due to some water damage, but we didn't miss it and the wonderful owners are working to rectify that issue asap. I can't say enough about the owner, Leanne. This was our first time using HomeAway and we were very hesitant about trusting the listing and sending checks in the mail to someone we never met, but Leanne was terrific about communication. She always answered our questions in a timely manner and was just always pleasant and friendly to deal with -- and very accomodating.
Additional perks: The value (the prices are reasonable compared to many on HomeAway) the garage, light switches/dimmers EVERYWHERE you want them to be; Waterfront views. Privacy (lot set back from the road, and the road is pretty isolated as well), only minutes from downtown Wolfeboro!
We'd definitely consider staying here again in the future -- the property offers a whole host of new opportunities in the summer months. It's well maintained and owned by terrific people.
This house is located about 10 minute drive from down town Wolfeboro. It is on a nice sized, sparsely populated pond and the property has a good backyard with a nice beach. The kitchen/ living room space is fun for gathering and there is access to a big deck from there.
With the minor exception of the selection of cooking pots, everything in the house was in great condition. And it was all pretty clean and neat when we arrived.
We were there in April, so it was still too cold for swimming, but the kids totally enjoyed playing in the yard and on the beach. For rainy days, there is also a big playroom in the basement stocked with toys and an air hockey table in very good condition.
The house is stocked with almost everything you could think of, including high chair, booster seats, pack-n-play crib, fans, games, a Keurig coffee maker, etc. If you have littler kids and they are going to be upstairs, one thing you might want to bring with you is a temporary security gate, as the steps are quite steep to the upstairs.
We really enjoyed our vacation there.
We have just returned from our vacation the last week of July, and this wonderful home could not have been better!!!!! We traveled with another family, which made it 9 people, and had plenty of room. Bedrooms are sizable, and have comfy beds. Huge dining table will easily seat 12, so we had lots of room. Lots of windows with beautiful views of the lake. Lots to do - kayaking, swimming, canoeing, sandy beach which the children especially loved. The adults could sit and enjoy the views and soak in the sun while the kids played. The white mountains and Hampton Beach are within driving distance and we all enjoyed coming "home" at the end of a long day of fun. Town of Wolfeboro quaint, with charming shops and restaurants. Leanne was a pleasure to deal with, so helpful and friendly. Don't hesitate to rent...this was a gem!!!
I was a little nervous setting up this vacation without seeing the property in person...pictures can be deceiving but we were pleasantly surprised that it exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful and fully stocked with kitchen necessities, linens, outdoor chairs. It was clean and well maintained.
We had small children that the private beach and floating dock were just perfect for. We were able to sit (a little) while the kids played in the shallow water for hours.
It was also just 5 mins away from downtown Wolfeboro/Lake Winnepesaukee which was really nice.
I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family (I have already) and would come back again. Leanne was easy to work with and very accomodating
We have vacationed at this wonderful place twice and are booking for a third time! We love it here. There is plenty of space for large or multiple families to roam and relax. The finished downstairs play/game room is fantastic for adults and children. It is very clean, well cared for, and the owners have done everything to make you feel at home here.
Everyone loved the beach. It has a lot of space for the children to play and plenty of room for the adults to lounge. A great place to spend some time relaxing and enjoying life!
Other Activities: snowmobiling, ice-fishing, canoeing, kayaking,
20 minutes from Gunstock Mountain, great summer/winter activities available. Mount Major also a 20 minute ride from the house.
