Overview

Big Bear Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5-6)

As part of the family, Napoleon Dynamite's (Jon Heder) favorite getaway is Coyote Crest, a romantic, yet family friendly 2 bedroom cabin in central Big Bear Lake. Enjoy this quality LAKEVIEW cabin in the best location in Big Bear.

For those of you tired of So. Cal. driving, once you arrive at Coyote Crest, you never have to get in your car again. Walk to the village for boutique shopping, gourmet dining, movies or bowling (a Napoleon favorite!). Miles of trails for hiking and biking are out the back door and skiing is a short drive (1 mile) away. Or just enjoy the incredible views from the 2nd floor outdoor deck hot tub.

The focus at this upstairs unit of the cabin is to see the lake and majestic mountain views from all the main rooms of the home. Whether you are in the living room by the fire, at the kitchen sink, or kicking back in the master bedroom by the fire, there is not a view of the lake that can not be seen! If you are looking to be 'At' the lake 'AND' enjoy a true mountain cabin experience, (completely remodeled inside) this is the cabin for you! Don't be a 'friggin idiot' - Rent this cabin now!

For those with families, the cabin has the following:

port-a-crib

High chair

booster seat

yard with swings, tree house and a hill for sledding

There is a king bed in the master bedroom. A double bed and a twin in the guest bedroom. There is one large bathroom with separate toilet and shower areas.

Quiet and restful vacation with beautiful views out every window and door!

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent the week during the 4th of July and it was wonderful. Fantastic view of the fireworks off the balcony. Cabin is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully planned out to just relax and enjoy. Bathroom was great, wonderful soaking tub and plenty of room and natural light. The master bedroom bed is super comfortable, which is always a concern for me as I've had 2 back surgeries. I can say I slept better on that bed than I do my own! You can walk to the village, it only takes a few minutes and is such a enjoyable walk through the neighborhood. You can also walk right out of the cabin and go for a hike as there are a few trails close by. The owner is kind and wonderful to talk to/work with, which is always a concern in renting someone else's home. I can highly recommend this cabin and this will be the only cabin we will ever stay in when we are up in Big Bear.

Fantastic Weekend getaway for my family.

  • 5 of 5

We really loved this property and we will be back! The view from the balcony, hot tub and the Master Bedroom is awesome. The beds were comfortable. The tree fort kept my four kids entertained and Meg was very kind. We had a blast.

Wonderful Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We took our two daughters (ages 3 & 6) for their first trip to Big Bear this winter. They were delighted to see the box of toys in their closet and the play area outside was wonderful for them. It was great to be so close to town. It is walkable just not for little ones and is an uphill walk all the way back. That is how you get such lovely views from the Jacuzzi though. We would recommend this rental to anyone with a small family looking to stay in a safe, clean, quiet cabin while still having the convenience of being just up the hill from the Village. It was a lovely weekend and the owners were very pleasant to deal with. Would rent from them again.

Loved our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time at Coyote Crest. The cabin was even nicer than I expected. There was a memory foam mattress topper on the king bed that was heavenly! There was also a new hot tub that was very nice to relax in after a long day. My toddler appreciated the closet full of toys and the sleds. Communicating with Meg was very easy. I do not see how you could go wrong with a stay at this cabin. We hope to come back very soon!

Good place nice getaway

  • 4 of 5

The place overall was nice and comforting it was a good stay. The only cons were dishes were dirty the master bed was uncomfortable and there was a lot of static so you get shocked a lot, kinda weird.

Big Bear in the summer

  • 3 of 5

Big Bear is definitely still a good place to visit in the summer months. On the positive side, the location was great, the view was amazing. It is walking distance to the village however the walk back to the house is quite a climb up the hill. The house was cozy. The TV had a horrible whine so was unwatchable and probably needs replaced. Neither DVD player was usable. The worst part of the house was the bed in the master bedroom. It is as if it was super old when it was handed down to the vacation rental. Saggy, lumpy, and squeaky. It made for a very sore back. It desperately needs replaced. For those who are sensitive to it, the hot tub is highly chlorinated. It would have gotten 4 or 5 stars with a better bed.

Owner's Response: I happened to be at the cabin restocking supplies when your review came in. I immediately ran up and checked the the TV and DVD's. I had just replaced both DVD's this summer. Everything was working fine. I also had my cleaning and maintenance manager check everything a couple of days later and she stated everything was fine and working perfectly. YOu stayed at the house a week. I give all renters full access to my manager so that she can address any issues immediately. I'm surprised we didn't hear from you during your stay when we could've helped you out. The bed is about 10 years old but within warranty and not used full time. WE did flip the mattress though as it was time. I've notified the spa company that there is too much chlorine. I've had a couple of notes about that.
