We had a glorious week with unexpected spring sunshine and temperature.
This is a very comfy house and was an ideal base for visits and very accessible to the motorway.
Sorry to leave but we will be back to visit as it is our fathers home town. Visit Tullow museum the family is mentioned there (open 9-11 2-4pm).
Many thanks for a lovely holiday.
This upside down holiday home was a perfect place for our three generation family vacation. Our family of four (two children under the age of 10), and our two senior parents enjoyed this spacious home. The kids really enjoyed the bunk beds! All the rooms in the home were a decent size. Pictures are true to what the house represents. The town of Tullow is within walking distance to the home. Three grocery marts close by and two playgrounds within walking distance of the home as well! We loved the location as most of our adventures were within an hour drive away! Nuri was very informative and had great suggestions of things to do in the area as well!
We are back from a very relaxing enjoyable 1 week stay. Our family comprised of 2 adults and 4 children aged 4 to12. They found it fascinating the fact that it's an upside down house with sitting room/kitchen upstairs.
It's a beautifully decorated home and immaculately presented. It was well equipped and a folder with suggestions of things to see and do locally was very useful. The balcony off the sitting room has lovely views over the golf course and enjoys the evening sunshine. We ate in mostly but would highly recommend the Old Moon Indian both for dining and take away. It's worth noting that prices are half price on Tuesday nights.
The owner Nuri had secured passes for us for the hotel pool at an additional charge. The children loved going to the pool each day. We were lucky with weather but had booked passes just in case. There is also a nice playground on the grounds with a zip line.
Rathwood is within driving distance and the children enjoyed the teddy bears picnic and a maze in the shape of the map of Ireland in which they got to explore the counties. There is also a lovely restaurant and playground here and forest walk. A trip to Rancho Reilly's in Carlow was also a hit. Here the children saw animals including snakes, rabbits, birds, pigs and ponies. There is also a large play area, pony rides, toy tractors, scooters and goalposts. Carlow town is a half-hour drive and we went to the cinema there.
There were many lovely gardens and trails to be seen. We also went to Abbeyleix to meet friends and ate in a really nice French style café called The Gallic Kitchen.
We really enjoyed our stay. The owner Nuri is a delightful person. She had left us a welcome pack of tea sugar cheese etc. She is very relaxed and easy going but also very helpful and provides an excellent property and service. We would highly recommend this property and would like to return there.
Stayed in this lovely house for a week in June with our 8 month old soon
As it was our first time away with him, we were anxious as to how well he would settle being away from home .
All our anxieties were put to rest as soon as we pulled up at the house and met Nuri, she really couldn't have done enough for you !
The house was fully equipped with cot, high chair and even plastic crockery and cutlery! The house itself is just beautiful - so clean and well looked after. Rooms are a great size and all so homely. We had no worries at all the whole time we were there!
Enjoyed the use of mount wosely facilities as we were in the pool most days ! The location is great as a centre point for travelling places with your car- Carlow, Kilkenny all not far away at all .
Neighbours also very friendly
Overall it was an absolutely perfect house for us travelling with a young baby and would recommend it to families !
We will be back next year for sure ! Thank you so much Nuri you were great ! Even when we slept in on the last day ! You were so nice and we didn't feel rushed at all
Definitely a holiday to remember !
Nuri made us feel welcome from day one. She met us at the property with a very nice welcome pack and provided all the information we needed to start enjoying our stay from day one.
We would certainly recommend the property to anyone looking to take a break in Ireland. We used it as a base to travel to Punchestown races but it would definetely suit those looking for a golf break or leisure weekend with Spa facilities.
Me and family stayed in this beautiful house for a week. A LOVELY property. Very modern with sumptous furnishings. Immaculate throughout and very centrally situated. Plenty of shops supermarkets eateries and take a ways. Used the hotel spa and had a meal in the nearby hotel which was great. Very pleasant owner who goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. Nice little touches of a welcome pack with tea coffee and sugar and biscuits and milk in the fridge. Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to stay again
If you want comfortable accommodation in a fantastic location this is the place to stay.
We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad. Heerlijk huis en geweldige eigenaren die onmiddellijk klaarstonden als er iets was. Het ontbrak werkelijk aan niets. Echt waar voor je geld. Zeker aan te bevelen.
