This updated cottage is the perfect vacation spot offering spectacular views of Nantucket sound from the living room, dining area, master bedroom. An awesome Bose sound system, gas grill, ultra quiet Bosch dishwasher and washer/ dryer make your time away so much easier. Enjoy the bustle of downtown Chatham with the finest shops and restaurants on the cape. Stroll lighthouse beach and spot the grey seals basking in the sun or swimming in the waves. After a day at the beach or in town wind down on the back deck with a cool drink and enjoy the soft ocean breezes. The Friday night band concerts on the green are not to be missed. There are so many things to do in Chatham: hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, tennis, golf, watching the catch come in on the fish pier ( be prepared to see the reel deal) or for a quieter day- shopping, antiquing or napping on the beach. At night there is live theater in Chatham or in nearby Orleans. If you love movies---Wellfleet drive in is a favorite of our family.
The cottage is small, however there are 2 full bathrooms and an outdoor shower. The second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds ( 4 single beds).
The bunks are best for children but can accommodate adults.
What else could you ask for.......................
Great location and very charming, comfortable, and clean home. Home included many essentials that are often lacking in other long term rentals. Our toddler loved walking on the bridge to the beach and playing in the sand. Close to the downtown shops of Chatham. Had a delicious meal at near by Del Mar Bistro.
We've been coming here for almost 10 years and it never disappoints.
Lovely cottage. Walking distance to a beautiful beach. Plenty of space to run around outside. BBQ and lovely deck to sit out on. Easy drive into Chatham. Close to bike trails to explore the local area. A great cottage for a family holiday
Our first time here. Loved the cottage...very comfortable and well-equipped both inside and out with gas grill and beach buggy and chairs. Spent lots of time on the deck enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean and the sea breezes. The beach is so close via the walking path that it's easy to set up there for the day and go back and forth to the cottage. Great to walk on the beach any time of day but especially around sunset... the light is beautiful! Had fun paddleboarding and floating along the "lazy river" in the inlet. Nice friendly neighborhood and very peaceful. Exploring downtown Chatham (kids loved the Candy Manor), and buying fresh seafood and watching the seals at the fish pier are worth the quick trip into town. Would love to return again! Thank you very much!
We arrived in the dark during a wild rain storm and were happy to have such a cozy cottage to shelter in. Thanksgiving morning was clear and beautiful with gorgeous views of the beach and Nantucket Bay from the windows. It is a short walk to the beach and although it was cold and windy, we played Pilgrim, exploring the area, hoping to find remnants of one of the thousands of shipwrecks caused by the outlying shoals, or a piece of Wampanoag pottery. We weren't lucky enough for that, but did find an old whale bone encrusted with barnacles!! The many beaches we walked were a great way to ease off all the turkey and trimmings!
The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, spacious living room with interesting books, games and a large TV. The bedrooms are comfortable and it was not long before, after a long day of treking around, we were calling the cottage home... Our older son and his girlfriend enjoyed wandering around the shops in town on Black Friday and we all enjoyed going to The Squire Pub and Restaurant, with the best Fish and Chips we have ever had. Fresh Cod! off the wharf! The Cape in early winter is starkly beautiful ...,colored with burnished seagrass, steel blue water, strands of pale golden shoreline and those magnificent Cape Cod sunsets. It was a good place to give Thanks.
The house is on a neighborhood association beach pathway 100 yards from the private section of Ridgevale beach bridge. The public beach with lifeguards and a grocery/snack shop is just steps away as well.
Perfect for children with lots of wading pools and a constant gentle breeze. Additionally, School House pond, a spring fed fresh water body of water is a quick bike ride away (less than 2 miles). The cape cod bike path is less than a mile from the house.
