Pure Cozy Elegance

  • 5 of 5

My husband (and dog) and I couldn't have been more delighted with our stay! The house was perfect for a cozy, snowy getaway. So many highlights: big walls of windows in each room to gaze on the beautiful woodland mountain views; a wood burning stove for warmth and atmosphere; modern and elegant house with open floor plan, wood floors and beautiful area rugs; exceptionally classy and worldly art and décor; fully equipped kitchen; hot tub just out the back door; fantastic wide-ranging library of really good books; and everything was clean and comfortable!

We loved the feeling of privacy and remoteness, but enjoyed the very easy access to Stowe's ski slopes. But honestly, it was hard to leave for adventures, because the coziness of this house had such a pull. We decided to spend one day watching the snow fall and light play on the mountains in the distance followed by some exploration of the extensive network of marked snowshoe trails starting in the backyard: it was the best day of our trip! The woods on the property are wonderful and the neighborhood trail system is well-marked and extensive. The owner was very welcoming and thoughtful in her advice and tips.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful, comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

A dog friendly Vermont paradise is what we were looking for and exactly what we got. The house is welcoming, comfortable and clean. Private setting with mountain views and a great system of trails right out the backyard. Beautiful wood stove keeps the place warm and cozy and a hot tub in the back. Couldn't ask for more.

Wonderful House!

We had a great weekend, and the house is even nicer than in the pictures. A good location far enough away to be secluded but close enough to plenty of restaurants, breweries, and skiing. Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with us.

Excellent Vermont Base - Feeling of a Real Home

  • 5 of 5

This is an absolute gem of a place, the kitchen has everything you will ever need, there is a warm wood burning stove and central heating which makes the house very comfortable in the cold Vermont winter. The living space has very large picture windows with stunning views to the mountains. Sipping on a drink watching a spectacular sun set was the perfect way to end a day’s skiing. The location is perfect as a base to the numerous cross country ski areas in North Vermont. Lisa is a great host and we are already thinking about booking for next year!

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We visited Stowe over Christmas. It was great fun to hang out in the house with the family. The living room views are worth the visit. Fireplace and the views from living room makes it a perfect romantic getaway or fun family time.

We also had a chance to try the snow shoe trails that owner carefully marked in the property and also the sledding slopes.

We had icy conditions one of the days and when my car slid off the driveway, owner and her friend were very helpful and found somebody to push the car back on to the drive way. They were always available for any questions we had and we had a lot of them :-)

I would definitely rent this property again in the future and recommend it to anybody who would listen to me.

Perfect VT getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this incredible home. We were two adult couples, and two dogs. First off, the surroundings are breathtaking. The house is about 15 minutes drive from the village of Stowe, and even closer to Morrisville, which has a great cafe/restaurant/bar with live music at night called the Bees Knees as well as some other great stuff. So the location is quiet and completely tranquil, but also convenient to many fabulous restaurants and other points of interest. There are also wonderful hiking trails literally out the backdoor of the house, which were enjoyed immensely by all of us, as was the hot tub. The interior of the house is even more impressive. Unlike most other rentals, it is beautifully decorated with comfortable and functional furniture, gorgeous artwork, a truly fully stocked kitchen (we stayed in and cooked New Year's Eve and had absolutely everything we could have wanted), and a great wood-burning stove. The owners were also fantastic, super helpful and friendly and just lovely. I would highly recommend this property, particularly for two couples, though it could also be great for kids I am sure. We definitely plan to go back.
