Amazing Property--Exceeded All Expectations

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a family birthday gathering and it was perfect for entertaining. The downstairs family room/bedroom is great for a couple with a child but be sure to bring a portacrib if needed because the crib in the upstairs bedroom is not movable and the daybed downstairs is suitable only for an older child. Kate was so helpful and generous about answering all questions and making our stay as comfortable as possible. Everything was clean and organized and the house is supplied with all of the basic items any group would need. We brought extra things we did not end up using because this vacation property includes much more than the average rental (including ample toys for toddler or young child ) The location is fabulous and truly just a short pleasant walk to town. Highly recommend to any family or friend group seeking ample space, privacy, and comfort. There were no negatives and our special occasion was enhanced by the lovely surroundings and ease of booking. Cottage linens was also a fantastic reliable source for obtaining bedding and towels with no hassle. A+

Second stay and another great vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 8 adults and 3 kids enjoyed our second stay at the Greywind House in Ogunquit. The house is well appointed with plenty of space for everyone. We actually enjoyed the walk to and from the beach, while sending the kids by car with all the beach gear for a drop off and pick up. We loved walking into town for dinner and or ice cream. The home owners have thought of everything and make the process seamless. Besides the beach, the kids loved going to the arcade in Wells which also has mini golf and bumper cars! What a treat for the whole family to enjoy a vacation together! I highly recommend this beautiful home in this lovely neighborhood to anyone

Great family home!

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family of 10 (6 adults & 4 "kids" ranging from 16 to 21) rented the home for a week in early August. Very nice, quiet neighborhood. It was a wonderful location with a short walk to town and near a great beach. Due to the parking situation in town, we did a lot of walking, but that was OK with us. Individual AC units in the bedrooms were a plus and one of the reasons we selected this home. Some evenings (game nights), it would have been nice to have an AC unit on the main level to cool it down a bit. We didn't use the outdoor space as much as anticipated. The kitchen was very well outfitted....the only thing we were really missing was some sort of tupperware to store leftovers. Very nice to have a washer/dryer available and there were a few beach chairs in the garage, which were very helpful. Owners were VERY helpful and responsive throughout our planning and our stay, which is MUCH appreciated! Overall and excellent value and we would definitely recommend the Greywind House!

Perfect family vacation accomodations.

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as described. There were no surprises, except for pleasant ones such as how well stocked the supply closet was, available beach gear, toys for kids, etc. The house was large and easily accommodated our group of 10 adults and one infant. The house was clean and very well maintained and appointed. There was plenty of room for communal activities and also allowed individuals or families to have private time/space as well. The neighborhood was friendly and inviting. The property was a short walk to the beach and to the center of town. The owner was easy to work with and responsive to questions prior to and after booking. I would definitely recommend this property to others and plan to stay there again.

Wonderful week on Maine coast

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 12 was fortunate enough to coordinate vacation plans and spend a beautiful week in Ogunquit this past July. We've vacationed in OG before and love what we feel is the most beautiful beach in New England. Add OG's Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way and we were thrilled to find an attractive 5 bedroom rental within walking distance to the beach and town. Our week was memorable, weather was in the 80's most days and no rain helped us max out our time on the beach. The house was such a pleasure for us - so welcoming, roomy, and comfortable. Many nice touches throughout and we took advantage of all it had to offer - from the nice patio with generous size gas grill, to it's large open kitchen (well stocked) and great for breakfast with the kids and grandkids. With the beach buggy and all the beach gear available, nothing seemed lacking. The owner even had a nice gift to welcome us with Maine maple syrup and pancake mix! We loved the house location in a beautifully landscaped residential neighborhood that was convenient to town, restaurants, etc. Having found such a lovely vacation rental here in Ogunquit, we hope to return again next year

Wonderful Home; Wonderful Town; Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of seven adults and 19 month old granddaughter spent a wonderful week at Greywind House. The home is large and comfortable with plenty of light and room to spread out. The large, well equipped, kitchen turned out to be the central meeting place to start our day. In the evenings we would stretch out in the spacious living room for an evening of games or television. But by that time we were typically, and happily, worn out from a day of walking, going to the huge beach, or exploring the southern coast of Maine.

The house is located in a beautiful, modern, wooded neighborhood. We appreciated everything that Kate had left for us to use, and our granddaughter especially loved all of the books, toys and DVD's. It's an easy walk into town (less than ten minutes) which we did several times a day. Exploring the shops and restaurants in town was one of our favorite activities. Bread and Roses, the town bakery, was the first stop in the morning for a breakfast of muffins, quiche, or the best chocolate croissants we have ever had (great coffee, too). Our granddaughter especially liked the toy shop. The restaurants and ice cream stores were excellent. Kate left us a list of her favorites in the area and that was very helpful. What a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a week. The toughest part of the week was leaving!

We definitely recommend Ogunquit for a family vacation and there can't be a better place to stay than Greywind House. Thanks, Kate!
