‘The Comfort of Home, the Luxury of an Island Resort’

This is our personal home located across the street from the beach! With our main living space on the 2nd floor, we have nice views of the ocean from the dining room, kitchen, screen porch, and rooftop deck. We had an interior designer work with us to purchase upscale furnishing, fabrics, and paint colors. Our home has 4-bedrooms and 3-baths which can accommodate up to 12 people. We have 3 expansive decks including a large screen porch. The built-in seating on our rooftop deck provides an ideal place for taking in a sunrise or sunset. We have an in-ground upscale private pool surrounded by a lush tropical landscape. Our fully equipped outdoor kitchen in our poolside cabana includes a large Jenn-Air gas grill, sink with both hot and cold water, a full refrigerator/freezer, along with a TV and a stereo that you can stream your music to.

We have a 58” flat screen HD TV and a Denon stereo receiver in the family room and 32' flat screen smart TV's in every bedroom. All the TV's and Denon stereo receivers are equipped to handle wireless music streaming. We have wireless internet throughout the house and even poolside.

With beach access almost directly in front of our home, we provide beach buggies for you to carry your things to and from the beach.

Also, if you are a clean freak, we do not using a cleaning service…we have a personal housekeeper who is meticulous. We have had wonderful feedback on how clean our home is when our guests arrive.

Only blocks away we have jet skis rentals, boat rentals, fishing charters or scenic wildlife excursions. You are only 20 minutes from Historic Charleston with its old world charm, gourmet dining, historic plantations and trendy boutiques. Because we live here, we provide our renters with a list of our favorite restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the island, in Mount Pleasant, and in Charleston. We also provide a list of golf courses in and around the area.

Our private tropical oasis will make for a splendid vacation experience! If you are looking for an exceptional home with many unique features, you will love our home.

Good location, Ok House

We had mixed reviews on this home, there were some good/bad things. The owner was responsive initially and provided detailed information about the house, which was helpful with our decision. When we were approaching our arrival date, we had to reach out for specifics on entry to the house, etc. vs. him providing this information. Upon arrival, we were happy with the proximity of house to the beach (3 min walk), but the traffic is very heavy, so if you're looking for a quiet location, this isn't it. When sitting outside on one of the decks, it's difficult to hear conversations because of the traffic noise (extending well into the evening). Another complaint is that the owner had very strict guidelines on care for the house (i.e. don't move furniture to make sure floors aren't scratched). The expectations were much higher than any other rental we had been in, so we assumed that the place must be in great condition. However, this wasn't the case. The floors (especially upstairs) had scratches all over the place, so we didn't understand the lofty expectations. The kitchen was very outdated. The slider (off the kitchen) barely worked and was extremely difficult to open (we had to open/close it for the kids). But the screened in porch was very nice (other than the road noise) Mostly everyone complained that the beds were uncomfortable. The pullout bed in the 1st floor master (off entry) wasn't even sleepable for my son, so don't count on using that. The backyard was beautiful and private (lush vegetation all around). Loved the bar area w/ tv. However, I would recommend installing a bottle opener on the bar so people can drink some beers without having to remember to bring down the opener from the kitchen. However, the pool doesn't have a functional filtering system as there was constantly debris in the pool that we had to remove. Also, the pool heater broke during our stay, which made the water cold until fixed. The house came with some beach accessory items (i.e. cart) that came in handy when going to the beach. A few good restaurants nearby, mostly had to leave island. Overall, the house was underwhelming due to it's outdated nature (pictures look better than reality), the amount of road noise coming from the busy street (not to mention people park in the front yard everyday), and the lack of comfort in the beds and other furniture in the house. At least we didn't have to pay summer rates, otherwise, I really would have been upset.

Peaceful vacation

Why a wonderful time we had at Isle of Palms. This vacation home is beautifully spacious and accommodating for our family gathering. The layout of the house allowed a great flow for the family- front and back stairway have great access. The decks and screened in porches were nice for assorted family activities. The first week in April was still cool ,but we were able to enjoy the beautiful heated pool and backyard and outdoor kitchen. It iwas private and functional. We will definitely be back!!!

Isle of Palms Beach Rental

We rented this house the last week of June 2016. On the positive side, the house has an excellent location and is right across the street from beach access located between 30th and 31st street on the Isle of Palms. The interior had ample space and the multiple decks were great for having morning coffee or sunning. The pool area was nice, but the furniture was cheaper plastic and cracked and the cabana is showing its age. The pool fountains were not working (as shown in the pictures). The fan in the kitchen had duct tape on it. The front door lock did not work. My wife and I are frequent travelers and frankly expected more for the price paid. If your expectation is for luxury, you may be somewhat disappointed.

Owner's Response: We are disappointed that our guests were less than satisfied with their stay at our home. We continuously invest in keeping our 2nd home/retirement home in great shape. We recently installed two new high-efficiency HVAC systems, had the exterior and interior of our home painted, added a new walkway to the pool, additional landscaping and added outdoor lighting. We also had the house, decks, driveway, pool deck, and cabana all pressure washed so everything was clean and fresh. We purchase commercial grade pool loungers used at community pools. Nothing is indestructible, given the damage to some of the pool furniture by previous guests that was not brought to our attention prior to this guest’s stay. New furniture has been ordered to replace those damaged. The pool fountain electronics were damaged by a recent storm. We did notify them that the fountains would not be working during their stay. This did not affect the function of the pool in any way. The replacement part needed, finally arrive the following week. Late during the Saturday changeover period between guests, we discovered that the kitchen fan/light had been damaged by the previous renters. Rather than have a non-functioning fan, a temporary fix was put in place. The fan unit was replaced at the next available changeover time as to not disturb the guests. Had we thought this would be a point of contention for the stay, we would have mentioned it. The recently added keyless entry, for unforeseen reasons, failed to work upon their arrival. It has since been replaced under warranty. As they noted, the house has an excellent location right across the street from beach access, with nice views, especially the sunrises and sunsets from the deck at the top off the house. The interior’s open floor plan provides room for various activities and the large decks are inviting for relaxation. The pool and cabana area is fenced in for privacy. Before arrival, we also provided information about the area, all the local golf courses, and a list of all our favorite restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner on the Isle of Palms, in Mount Pleasant, and in Charleston. It was unfortunate those few items experienced by our guest coincidentally occurred during their stay. We strive to make everyone’s experience excellent. Our goal is for everyone staying in our home to love it as much as we do, and want to come back year after year, as many do.

Wonderful home!

This home is nothing short of great! Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a long weekend and absolutely loved Isle of Palms. The house is gorgeous inside and out, and had plenty of space for our group of 7. The beds were super comfortable with very soft sheets that made me excited to go to sleep at night! The expansive views from each room make the house even better, including huge decks that make a great setting for breakfast in the morning. The pool area was so great to hang out, listen to music, grille and catch some rays. The house has a beautiful rooftop deck with benches, overlooking the beautiful neighborhood and the ocean- we saw the best sunrises and sunsets from up there! The neighborhood is high-end, with beautiful homes, palm trees and beautiful landscaping- we felt very safe. We drove into Charleston several times from IOP and it was a short, easy ride- about 20 min. Isle of Palms also has everything you need including nice grocery stores and restaurants. David, the owner, was nothing short of helpful and accommodating- he answered my emails and calls promptly and was very kind always. I would highly recommend this home to anyone, you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic Isle of Palms home

David was a pleasure to deal with when trying to coordinate with multiple families. We changed the week multiple times and David was more than accommodating. The house was beautiful, situated right across the street from the beach. We spent a lot of time in the yard and the pool with the kids and adults just relaxing. The BBQ being right there was also great. The layout of the house was perfect and everyone had more than enough room. We were 6 adults and 3 children and everyone had their own space. Minutes away from grocery shopping and places to eat as well. Highly recommend this home for you and your family / friends.

Awesome Family Vacation Home

We loved the house! Well laid out: the private back yard with pool & outdoor kitchen; Large decks with views, Screened in porch and furnished rooms were all top notch! Location on the island was good too! Shopping for groceries and sea food was in close proximity.
