Little Moose Lodge
Great little cabin; secluded area. Was everything we expected. We were alone the whole time- PRIVACY! Never met the owner, but talked on the phone and texted, which was all we needed. We'd stay there again when we go back. The only thing we were disappointed in is that they didn't have cable TV yet, so there were only 4 stations available. But the owner did say that cable is coming soon. That's the only negative....
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I called Spectrum again to check on their progress for getting cable to our location. They said it would be mid October. Thanks and hope to see you again. Chris
Great Getaway Spot!
We were happy to find a cabin that allowed us to bring our 4 legged kids. The cabin was very clean and neat when we arrived and had everything we needed. It is a beautiful spot right by the river. Chris was very friendly and attentive. We knew exactly how to check in before we arrived and where everything was to enjoy our stay. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, beautiful and well equipped place to stay. The pictures do not do it justice!
We really loved this cabin. It was perfectly laid out, comfortable and clean. It was convenient for our travel and to the town. It couldn't have been easier to check in and out. We are already talking about when we can go there again but for longer.
A little slice of heaven
From the moment we booked this trip several weeks ago the owner, Chris, was exceptionally accommodating. We had so many questions and he was expedient and very thorough in responding. We have stayed in 5-star hotels and not received the outstanding service we got from Chris.
This cabin was far more than we anticipated! You can clearly see how much thought and love went into decorating as, it's filled with character and charm. It's immaculate and well taken care of.
Being disabled, my husband and I are limited as to what we can do so, the loft was a bit much climbing for me, but I slept on the roll-out sofa and I was fine. Hubby is an amputee and although he did manage climbing up and down the loft stairs, we have decided that when we go back next year, we will bring our air mattress and sleep downstairs. If you're young and limber, the loft will be fine!
Sitting out on the porch during the day is relaxing just as much as walking down and sitting by the canal. Oh, and the best part of camping is always the campfire! The huge fire pit was perfect for our nightly relaxation. No need to buy the wood as, Chris provided everything!
We had a severe thunderstorm during our stay and after that the internet was spotty. Chris advised us that Spectrum should be in the area soon. Frontier just doesn't cut it if you have to be online for any length of time. As for me, I didn't have to be, but wanted to share pics of our adventure with my social media friends. I was able to do that intermittently. Again, with that issue, Chris was right there and doing what Frontier told him to do to try and rectify the problem.
We brought so many things we didn't need to bring. The dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker (with coffee pods) and much more are all there! Cutlery, and when I say cutlery, it's an understatement! They had utility scissors, a peeler and even a corkscrew to name a few! Yes, I had a bottle of wine so, that corkscrew came in handy! You could have actually just moved your clothes in, bought some groceries and lived there! You would have needed for nothing!
The stove has safety knobs on it for those traveling with small children. There's an AC and ceiling fan for those hot days of summer and a fireplace for those chilly days and nights of fall or winter. There's a television for those just wanting to lounge.
They thought of everything when making this little slice of heaven!
Trust me, this is an experience you don't want to miss out on!
Thank you for the kind words. Chris
Amazing little cabin
The cabin was extremely clean and very cute! Great place for fishing and just relaxing by a fire. They allow dogs!!! Which was great my dog has horrible anxiety issues. They had dog treats in the cabin for the dog. Chris and his wife are very friendly people. They made sure we had everything we needed. Chris responded to emails very quickly and responded to all my questions. They are expanding and we cant wait to go back and stay again.
Charming house with a view
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Moose Lodge and loved walking our dog along the Mohawk River. Chris was very attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The house was very comfortable, peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend and hope to return ourselves someday.
