About Marsha Hetrick
We have had the pleasure of living on this property since 1980. What started as a little 1920's house in a avocado orchard has evolved over the years (with 11 remodels/changes/additions) into our family home. We have loved, laughed, raised children and grandchildren, surfed, windsurfed, paddle boarded, schooled, raised a horse, chickens, many dogs and cats, gardened, played and cried here. Our daughter was 5 months and our son 4 years when we began this journey. We went on to build the area you are staying in when our daughter and her husband and two little girls were considering moving to Oregon. Maybe we could build them a home here!! Latest remodel! We had seven marvelous years with them living here and getting to love our two granddaughters daily (now 8 and almost 10)! They raised their ownchickens, dogs, gardens and all the fun and excitement that comes with a family of 4 added on. They were recently lucky to get their dream home on one acre in Fallbrook and are happy building their forever home. latest evolution of 1165 Melba - a vacation oasis for others to enjoy. We hope you appreciate the vibe here--its had a loft of years of love. Greg and Marsha

Home was lovely
This property was perfect. Easy access to the beach and the freeways. It was very comfortable and private. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Great weekend getaway
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in/check-out were both very easy. The unit was very well appointed and the bed was super-comfy!
Beautifully decorated one bedroom apartment
Luckily we found this apartment soon after it was first listed. Located in a quiet neighborhood only blocks away from our daughter and family whom we were visiting. Very nicely decorated. Just right for 2 people.
Marsha was very welcoming and helpful with all our questions. Would love to stay here again next time we visit...a nice little quiet oasis.
Upon opening the gate, you are entranced by a secret garden, leading to the property. So private and quiet, you would not know that you are in a guest house on someone’s property. The unit was exactly as shown in the pictures. The living space appeared larger, due to the abundance of windows and skylights. We would definitely stay here again. Marsha was extremely helpful and welcoming. It was very warm during our stay, but the air was cool as it drifted in the living area and master bedroom. Ceiling fans made for extremely comfortable sleeping.
The unit was very clean and had a large space to stretch out. The owner was very accommodating.
Easy to rent with no problems at the unit.
Thanks Sue. It was a pleasure to host you. See you again! Marsha
Perfect Spot in Encinitas!
This was a fabulous property in Encinitas. Marsha was very timely in our communications. I would stay at this location again in a heartbeat. Decor has a definite beach vibe. My only suggestion would be to have better WIFI for the occasional traveller that has to conduct a little business during their vacation.
Thanks Brad. It was a pleasure to host you. Marsha
So much to do! First the BEACH and many of them, all beautiful, Swamis, Moonlight,Cardiff, Seaside, Beacons and more. Downtown Encinitas is a lot of fun, people watching, shopping, drinking, eating.
