Come up and enjoy outdoor recreation unrivaled in the west while staying in a nicely decorated, modern and clean condo equipped with a full kitchen, comfortable beds, nice towels and linens. Warm wood stove and firewood provided!Everything you need except food, so you can enjoy your vacation and enjoy where you are staying. Villa de los Pinos is a small condo development, with a majority population of friendly owners and long term renters. It is quiet in the evenings and mellow in the daytime. The courtyard is grassy (snowy in winter) with huge Jeffery Pines, Aspens, and colorful flowers scattered around boulders. No cars allowed in the courtyard, so you can run your dogs or kids on the grass or just kick it by the pool. Winter transforms the courtyard to a snow playground, safe for kids and pets. The pool is always clean and warm in season and come summer there is tennis and volleyball for the more energetic. There is a resident manager for facility issues. There is great Jacuzzi for warming up after playing in the snow. Saunas too.

You can also enjoy world-class fishing, mountain biking, off-roading or just hiking on one of the countless trails in the beautiful Eastern Sierra high country. For more relaxed fun, outlet shopping, art galleries, theater and festivals are available. The unique location of Mammoth Mountain on the western edge of the Great Basin allows for snow activities in season along with exploring the snow free environment of the adjacent Great Basin. Snow play is world-class (Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain (Seasonal)). Skiing (Alpine and Nordic), boarding, snowmobiling (rentals available), sledding, tubing, snowshoeing, dog sled trips, carriage rides and ice skating. The list keeps growing. At times, lake skating and ice climbing are available.

This winter, you can fly from Portland, Reno, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County (seasonal). Shuttles are available to town and the condo. Summer has flights to/from Los Angeles. Check the airlines for latest flight information. Shuttles to town are available. Rental vehicles are available at the airport.

Our condo is a comfortable, townhome-style condominium in Mammoth Lakes, a fantastic YEAR ROUND mountain resort in the beautiful high Sierra Mountains of California. If you haven't been here yet, try it. You will love it. If you have been here, then you know, and you will return over and over again.

Awesome place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time at the Villa de los Pinos complex and this condo was perfect! The proximity of the unit to the pool/spa is great, the condo is extremely well stocked and comfortable and the courtyard was perfect for our lab Lulu. We were lucky enough to get fresh snow on our visit and the area was perfect for anything we needed. We could walk to Vons and plenty of our other local favorites, (The Stove, Giovanni's, etc.), walk our dog over to the park down the street and hit several hiking trails. Michael and his wife obviously take great pride in their condo and it shows. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about our experience in staying here. Hope to be back soon!

THE BEST

  • 5 of 5

Over the past years we have stayed at a number of different condos in Mammoth in the Summer and Fall which were dog friendly. This condo is by far the finest of any that we have stayed at for us dog friendly guest. We have two German Shepherds that go everywhere with us, so it is important that they have a comfortable place to stay. This condo is designed around making your dog(s) welcome from the very start. Michael has a box in one of the bedrooms that is filled with blankets and sheets to protect the beds and couches from the dogs getting on. Also, in the bedroom closet there is a large dog bed. The two downstairs bedrooms both open up to a huge grassy play area that you can run your dog(s) on if there are no other dogs around. Even when another dog shows up, you just have to put them on a leash. We played Frisbee everyday in the grassy area, and when someone showed up with a dog we just leased them and most people didn’t mind having our dogs off leash while we played with them. All the people with dogs there were super friendly, as were their dogs. There are two potty bag dispensers with bags to pick-up after your dogs, and everyone seemed to pick-up after their dogs as I saw no dog poop around. The upstairs has a very large balcony for the dogs (and us) to lounge, and the dogs to greet all the other dogs as they walk by. Okay, enough about the dogs. This condo was spotless, with plenty of clean fluffy towels in both of the bathrooms. The living/dining room is very spacious with three nice couches (one is a futon). Even though we didn’t cook (Who comes to Mammoth and cooks with so many great restaurants?), the kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need. It also has TVs in every room, and the wifi was super fast. What you will really notice is the beautiful artwork throughout the condo. You can really tell that there is pride of ownership, you would think that the owner lived there year round. Another aspect which makes to condo complex so nice is how quiet is was, as there is no traffic going through the complex due to the fact that everyone parks in the back of their condo. Also, there is a 10pm curfew on noise. It is also located within walking distance from town. Michael made the transaction of renting very easy by going through the owner rather than having to deal with a property manager or rental company. This will be our first choice in the future. Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This condo was an excellent home base for us during our week here in Mammoth. We loved coming home each day from our hikes, enjoying the lovely landscaping from our balcony, taking a refreshing swim and relaxing in the spa. We've stayed in several different condos in Mammoth through the years, but this is our favorite. It's clean, well-equipped, and quiet! The complex is dog-friendly, with lots of room for them to run around. The pool and spa area are sparkling clean, and the grounds impeccable maintained. We'll be back!

DEFINITELY THE PLACE TO STAY!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of two teenagers and mid-sized terrier stayed for 5 nights in June/July 2014 and had the best time at this condo. It was very clean, had plenty of room, lots of cooking supplies and linens, and the property had a huge grassy area for dogs to run around. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and tennis and volleyball courts. Definitely a great place to relax after full days of hiking, fishing and mountain biking. Our dog went everywhere with us and looked forward to coming back to the condo to see his dog friends that he made during our stay.

The owners were very thorough with paperwork and supplied many details about the condo. It showed that they cared about their rental home and that they wanted others to take good care of it too during their stay. There is even a scrapbook to include photos of your pet. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends and family.

Great Thanksgiving Stay

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful property and great owners! This unit is awesome. We have stayed here more than once and it never disappoints. It has everything you need to cook, for sleeping, etc. It is also in a great location. You can easily walk to Vons, etc., or catch the shuttle. The owners are also very responsive. We will definitely stay here again.
