Large modern oceanfront home with ocean and marsh views. Two-story home, on Wells-Ogunquit line, with large second level deck. Property located on ocean side of street, set back about 50 steps from private sandy beach. Best view of ocean from second level deck--first floor view is partially obstructed. We share private beach with one other family, the owners of house located in front of us. Easy walk on beach to downtown Ogunquit. Close to area attractions.
This house was exactly what our family was looking for. The price was right, on the beach, cozy and with a little of that cottage feel of my memories of Maine as a child. It was nice and clean and warmly decorated. Having the nice deck on the second floor was great to view the ocean.
It's not really in my best interest to write a review here because my family and I expect to return here year after year, we hope, and we'd like the place to be available for us! The house is very clean, the photos represent the interior well. You can hear the ocean from the deck, and if the windows are open, inside the house. The kitchen is well stocked, and the setting is just perfect. Many comforts of home including a big TV, DVD player and wireless Internet access. We spent comfortable time lounging upstairs in the living area, as well as downstairs off of the kitchen. And then there's the beach, literally, about 35 steps on the foot path! Clear, clean and cool(!) Maine coastal waters.
