Overview

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-5), steps from beach

NOT YOUR GRANDMA'S CONDO! Our 2BR/2BA condo is on the gulf side of Palm Bay Club, one of the most sought-after properties on Siesta Key. Step out of the condo and onto the palm tree-lined path leading directly to Crescent Beach, voted the #1 beach in the U.S. for it's fine white quartz sand that never burns your feet! Start your day with a stroll on the beach, picking up seashells. Relax the day away, pop back to the condo for lunch, maybe BBQ on the beach for dinner and stay for a breathtakingly beautiful sunset.

Relax by one of two private, heated pools or in the jacuzzi or sauna. Drop a line in the water from the fishing pier or play a game of table tennis in the rec room. Play tennis on one of the lighted on-site courts or shoot a round at one of the many nearby golf courses. While the condo has a fully-equipped kitchen, Siesta Key also has countless choices for local dining, nightlife and shopping.

Return to the condo, put on a movie, have a drink and relax. You are home! We are the perfect vacation spot for retirees, families, weekend get-aways or honeymooners.

About Sue Beulke

Dan and I live in Minnesota (brrr!) We just became empty nesters and wanted to find a warm weather vacation home where our family could come together for visits in the years to come. We have different vacation styles: two of us like to 'do' - golf, fish, run, sports, etc. and the other two like to 'be' - read books, enjoy music, people watch, relax, etc. We've found the best of both on Siesta Key.

Sue Beulke purchased this condo in 2010

Why Sue Beulke chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We wanted a warm weather destination. Word-of-mouth and research for good beaches led us to this property. Being only 20 mins. from the Sarasota airport is a huge plus. After all, when you're on vacation you just want to get there! Sarasota itself is only 10 mins. away with it's marina, restaurants, shopping and cultural opportunities. And then, when we got onto Siesta Key, we just knew we'd found the perfect get-a-away. We love the little village of Siesta Key itself and the fact that it has only local eateries (no golden arches here). We were looking for a place where you walk in and think 'Wow, this place is really nice!' and that's how we felt when we walked through the door of our condo at Palm Bay Club. Wow!

What makes this condo unique

We like that we are 'close' to it all but not 'in the middle' of it all. A place big enough to have all the amenities but not so big that you feel you need to get up at 6:00 a.m. to reserve your chair by the pool or beach. Of course we enjoy the beach and lovely weather. We love Siesta Key and all the great food and shopping (it's got the best ice cream shoppe). We like the convenience of a small grocery within walking distance yet several larger just over the bridge. The on-site fitness center is nice too if you've eaten and relaxed a little too much. We haven't stayed when the turtles are nesting yet but we look forward to that. We have seen dolphins though which is an amazing site when you're from up north!

Very Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this property. The owner was extremely responsive to questions, and timely with the deposit refund. Our 1.5 year old son had a blast at the beach, and there were an assortment of beach toys left by other guests.

Excellent value!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Although we have been coming to Siesta Key for years, we had never stayed at Palm Bay Club! We will definitely be returning... to this condo. It was clean, well stocked and nicely decorated!

Extremely clean, comfortable and ideal for any of our vacation needs.

  • 5 of 5

The overall superb appearance that greets you as you walk into the home is very comforting. The bathrooms are very nice and very clean.

The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable.

We loved our short walk to the beautiful beach and then to the perfectly heated pool!

Our stay at Palm Bay Club

  • 4 of 5

This was our first vacation at Siesta Key. We loved the beach! There are some positives and negatives about this unit and Palm Bay Club. Unit Positives: Clean, nice décor, lots of towels to use and beach chair was old and battered but usable. Positive Palm Bay Club: The parking is next to the unit and the stairs are easily accessible, or you can use the elevator. Nice to be able to use the luggage carrier to help un-load or re-load luggage from/to the car. Unit Negatives: The unit does not have a beach view, which from the photos I thought it had. The master mattress is hard and if you wanted to use the roll-away bed, I wouldn't bother. It is old and uncomfortable. Palm Bay Club Negatives: Washer and dryer are located on the bottom floor and the process of paying for laundry use is annoying...bring cash. The exercise room is too musty to use and needs better ventilation and no bar-bells. If you don't mind a unit with out a beach view and would rather be close to the pool and tennis courts, this unit is great! My only lasting recommendation is to upgrade the master king mattress and roll-away bed.

Nice.

  • 4 of 5

The property is nice. Close proximity to the beach with a beautiful palm tree lined corridor

as the path. Beaches are beautiful. Sand is as nice as advertised. This unit is comfortable. Everything worked fine. If you plan to cook at all bring everything, including salt and spices.

The lenai is okay. It overlooks a fairly unsightly property next door. It does offer fresh air and a place to enjoy a cup of coffee though.

Plenty of great, locally owned restaurants around. We really enjoyed Clayton's which is near the south bridge. Well managed, excellent food. You'll find Clayton himself circulating making sure things are just right.

We visited Claytons more than once.

For those of you that have not been to Siesta before, you will find a beautiful, wide beach lined with numerous high rises. They do lend to a certain congestion and density on the beach though - at least this week it did.

Both the property and this unit are well managed.

Property was in very good condition.

  • 4 of 5

Overall very nice. Only the slightest negative was being looked at a hair differently for not being club members and being VRBO members, but nothing overly significant. An inclusive list of small amenities would have been nice, i.e. tennis rackets at office, hairdryers little things like that but that did not take away from the overall very nice experience.

Owner's Response: We are glad your family had a nice stay but sorry to hear that you felt treated differently as a non-owner guest. The vast majority of guests staying at the Palm Bay Club at any given time are there as rental guests and are usually very friendly and happy to share tips on good restaurants, things to do, etc. Our current guest just confirmed that the two hair dryers and hair straightener in the bathroom vanity cabinets are in fact still there. The Palm Bay Club offers complimentary tennis racquets and balls when reserving a court.
