The village is built on top of an ocher cliff and offers visitors a perfect harmony of colors with its stones, roofs and facades impregnated with the same red tones as the neighboring landscapes. He has for a long time drawn his richness from the exploitation of the natural pigments contained in his ocher earth until the appearance of the synthetic dyes. One must discover the history of this industry by visiting the Conservatory of Ocher and Colors installed in an old ocher factory. It teaches everything about the exploitation and processing of ocher and it organizes regular training courses. Also worth a visit is the trail (paying) in the heart of the old quarries which allows to discover the beauty of the site and the exuberance of the colors with the warm colors that are intersected by those of an intense green offered by the Mediterranean vegetation. The cycle route 'Les Ocres à vélo' allows you to discover the shimmering landscapes of the Luberon.

TO SEE: the staircase streets of the old town, the vaulted passageways, the beautiful houses of the seventeenth and eighteenth; The 11th-century Romanesque church of Saint-Michel which has a beautiful 17th-century façade and adjoins a cliff with a magnificent panorama over 360 °, with orientation table; The belfry of the tower of the clock, surmounted by a charming campanile; The remains of ramparts rebuilt partly in the modern period; The remains of the Xe Castle integrated into other buildings.
