Great home to stay at near Tralee Golf Club
We've stayed at this home twice now and have had a great stay each time. The view is amazing and it's a short walk to the Tralee Golf Club.
Beautiful setting. Pothole lane dreadful.
This house had a glorious setting, looking out on to an estuary. Sadly the outside very untidy and in need of some brushing up. We have just bought a new car a month ago and were less than impressed driving it down the pot holed lane. My husband is so particular about his car he was worried that some damage would happen. On the evening we arrived he went back down the lane with a spade to try and cut back the brambles as they were scoring the car.
The house itself did have everything we required and is large and plenty of room and would still be impressive but it is in need of a clean and a bit of a paint/ decorating.
Initial impression on entering is dusty. Part of this is the appearance of the woodwork. In the lounge downstairs their are wooden railings. My granddaughter and myself had to take a little brush and get rid of all the cobwebs and kill 3 or 4 spiders when we arrived. Cobwebs over the lights. My grandchildren were seeing and killing spiders throughout the week. The children enjoyed the table tennis in the games room but again it was dusty, cobwebby and spiders. If the balls went into the corners or behind anything they would hardly retrieve them because it was so dirty. The floor was in bad need of a washing.
Downstairs shower room in need of a revamp. My heart didn't really lie to it.
To be fair we were comfortable enough. Upstairs was better. But whole thing needs to be maintained and cleaned better for new guests coming.
Was expecting something wonderful for £850 for a week plus 41 euros for electricity and gas. We rented a villa in Spain last year. Was also expensive but was splendid and clean and shining. Price included electricity if you didn't use over a certain amount. I have to say we were disappointed and expecting better.
We are so stunned and sorry to have received this review. We have never before received a complaint about any aspect of the cleanliness of the house and we have used the same cleaning company for the past six years. Spiderwebs appear overnight and we can only apologise profusely for their presence in this instance. We will of course tell our cleaners to address the issue. If our Housekeeper had been informed at the time, then it would have been at once corrected.
The house is situated in a very rural position overlooking the sea and the Dingle peninsula. We do not own the lane to the house. It travels over land belonging to four different landowners and no-one is in sole charge of it. This is the first time we have heard of a problem with the lane. We will therefore look into it and, if required, get it put right by liaising with the various landowners.
Such a magnificent house in a magical location
I cannot express how great our stay was at this house. We spent 4 nights here as part of a golf trip to all the great courses in SW Ireland.
When booking it, I knew the location was going to be perfect but I could not imagine how perfect the overall house would be. The house is a stone's throw away from the Tralee Golf Club with views of both the bay, the course and the Dingle pennisula. I cannot tell you how many times I caught myself standing out on the back patio just soaking in the views.
The house had fantastic sleeping arrangements with plenty of room and bathrooms for our group. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.
Location wise it is a short 10-15 minute drive into Tralee and an even shorter drive into Adfert.
For those who want to use this as a base of operations for their golf trip, I highly recommend this location. 5 minute walk to Tralee Golf Club, 30 minute drive to Ballybunion, 45 minutes to Dooks and 1:20 to Waterville.
Once again a huge thank you to William for having this property available, when we return we will certainly be reaching out again.
Stunning setting overlooking the Dingle Peninsula
The pictures on HomeAway just don't portray this home's setting, it's a spectacular setting, virtually on the Tralee Golf Club with views for miles over the Dingle Peninsula, Tralee Bay, and the Atlantic. The home's furnishings are updated and stylish with plenty of room, and every kitchen feature you will require. The outdoor patio is where you'll spend most of your time, assuming the weather cooperates, I guess you'd utilize the game room if it doesn't! The location was very convenient for our golf based location with Ballybunion, Dooks, Dingle, Killarney all within an hour's drive, and Tralee right next door.
Thank you so much for such a great review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and all that the house has to offer as well as the wonderful scenery. We have tried to make the house as modern, stylish and contemporary as possible for our guests so it's lovely to get such positive feedback. We hope you will come back again one day.
A beautiful place to stay
I have had the pleasure of staying here twice and both trip have been fantastic. The house is lovely, well maintain, spacious and with everything you could possible need. The views from the house are breath-taking.
The position of the property is beautiful; we enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon on the beach with friends and a stroll away the local area. The golf course close by was much admired by the golfers in our group.
On both of our trips we have been to the local town for dinner and drinks. The taxi service was excellent, arrived and collected us on time and was not expensive. The restaurants had amazing food and we truly loved the local bars. Brilliant fun and very welcoming.
I would definitely recommend this property to others.
Stunning vista and spacious house
Stayed here with some friends in November. Really lovely part of Ireland and a secluded house overlooking the sea with good access to the beach. Immediately adjacent to a golf course if that takes your fancy. Very spacious inside with plenty of room for a family or friends and plenty of outdoor space too. The games room was very popular as well. Property was clean and tidy when we arrived and very helpful owner made it a pleasure to stay here. Looking forward to returning.
