Your cabin is truly lovely. All of the personal touches make it so homey! We recently sold our cabin in Murphy NC (that we had for 15 years) and staying at your wonderful vacation home has brought back all of the great memories! Thank you so much for sharing your getaway. My family and I spend four nights at this mountain cabin in July 2008 and it was wonderful. The location was great, not too far from major attractions such as Grandfather's mountain, Mount Mitchell and many gem mines. During the day we would spend time visiting some of the attractions and then in the evening we enjoyed using the game room and hot tub. The cabin was clean and very nicely decorated. The view from the loft was awesome, seeing the fireflies from your bed at night was pretty neat. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that we can return.
This was an absolutely gorgeous cabin! My family of 4 couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. We had way more than enough space to avoid each other or spend time together. LOL! The kitchen (the whole cabin, really) was very well equipped, the hot tub was nice, the view was awesome, and the kids really enjoyed the game room. It's also very close to general stores and a grocery store, etc., but far enough away from everything to let you feel relaxed. The only thing that bothered me some were the dogs at the shelter nearby barking, but it was easily overlooked because of our enjoyment of everything else. Several of my friends have asked about the rental info for the cabin because of the many pictures I took. I highly recommend this place!!
BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, AWESOME HOT TUB, GREAT AMENITIES. ONLY DOWNSIDE (BESIDES HAVING TO LEAVE) WAS LEAKY REFRIGERAT (LOST SOME FOOD) OR AND DOWNSTAIRS A/C NOT WORKING. DIDN'T BOTHER CALLING BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE MADE UP FOR THOSE MINOR DETAILS!! MY ELDERLY MOTHER HAD A LITTLE DIFFICULTY WITH ALL THE STAIRS BUT THAT WAS MY OVERSIGHT. HIGHLY SUGGEST GOING TO MENAGERIE MERCANTILE IN DOWNTOWN BURNSVILLE, AMAZING VINTAGE ITEMS AT SURPISINGLY LOW PRICES! THIS CABIN IS AWESOME!
The cabin is in a nice location, all the amenities were correct and in working order. The view was a little covered up due to it being spring and everything being green, but still nice and secluded for the most part. The animal shelter is located near by so if dogs barking in the distance bothers you, may want to look for another cabin, you can't hear it from inside the house (just to clarify), didn't bother us because we have dogs ourselves. The owner and property management were fantastic and were quick to respond to all my questions. It was an excellent cabin for the price and pet friendly, which is an absolute must for us. I would recommend for the location and privacy. Would definitely stay again!
We loved this cabin and all the amenities it had. The location is beautiful. The cabin has everything one could possibly need. We enjoyed the hottub under the stars, watching the humming birds in the morning, and the short 10 minute walk down to fish the Cane river. We look forward to returning with friends.
The cabin was perfect. We were on our honeymoon and after planning a wedding this was a welcome escape. The cabin had all the luxuries of home. The neighbors were friendly and even invited us over to watch some college football and to accompany them on their nightly walks. The stream below the cabin is a nice place to relax. At night, shooting some pool, throwing darts and relaxing in the hot tub rounded out our days. The cabin is definitely close to area attractions (i.e. Biltmore/Asheville/Blue Ridge Parkway).
The surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, forest, rivers and streams provide ample fishing, canoeing, hiking, tubing, horseback riding and skiing.
