This is a very quite cove, the lake has access to a beach for fishing, four wheelers, bikes, shell hunting, bird watching, and also just a stroll on the beach. The lake has great fishing, boating, jet skiing, but the cove we are in is better for small boats and fishing. There is plenty of lake for the rest of water activity just outside the cove. The house is not right on the lake because this is a core of engineers lake and does not allow houses right on the water.
The lake house is 1600 square feet, built in the late 60's. The master bedroom is good size and has a queen bed with a fireplace, access to the master bathroom, with shower and tub, it also has access to the main sunroom. The second bedroom is also very nice, wood floor with a full size antique bed the main bathroom has just been remodeled with a new shower and wood floors and has access to the rest of the house.
The big sunroom has a flat screen TV and full size electric fireplace. The large room has plenty of room for just about anything. At one end is a trundle bed which can be made into a King-size bed, Queeen futone, leather couch, full size. There is lots of room. The kitchen, dining, entry closets and bathroom have just been remodeled with new wood floors installed along with a bar from the entry to the sunroom, this is a 1 acre property, which the back part is not accessible, but the house and the rest of the lot has plenty of yard that over looks the lake. There is a large gazebo for eating, watching the water and also watching the sun come up over the lake. There is a brand new deck on the side of the house that faces the water.
There is a gas grill. There are over 50 mesquite trees on the property. Very peaceful and quiet, just a great get away still close to everything. You are only a few miles from great antiquing, junking, sight seeing, water park in the summer. You are actually less that an hour from a Cowboys game, Stars game, and the Mavericks game, plus all of the great activities in downtown Dallas like Dealey Plaza, Six Flags and the large water park.

I have a very busy job, which requires travel and the lake house is a great benefit to relax and enjoy.
Sharon Allen purchased this house in 2006
I have always wanted a house by a lake and also some land to have my horse there. This lake has sandy beaches and is great to ride around the lake.
I love the quite the property supplies and also just being outside enjoying the weather and the view of the water.
Thank you so much for everything. Lending your house while we waited for our house to be built Being the best hostess. Our family cannot thank you enough.
This experience exceeded my expectations! Great view of lake from back porch and gazebo. Can watch sunrise as it comes across the lake. Quick walk to lakefront, any time. Pet the horses. (Carrot treats, okay - just remember to hand pieces flat on your palm. ☺ ) Easy access from I35E across lake bridge but NO through-traffic at locale. (Yea!) Even those using canes or walkers can get about easily and enjoy. Relaxing, traditional lake style retreat - with convenience of pizza delivery if you want it. Can't beat it!
This is an old pieced together house. The house was dirty inside an out. Years of cobweb build up. All heating is plug in heaters, which is a little frightening. Especially since the wiring is old. Kitchen is well stocked and everything is available for cooking and showering.
Another weird thing is that you have to pay a deposit? The owner shorted my deposit because I added 2 people to my stay. I had given her a heads up and she said it was "okay" with no mention of an additional charge. A deposit is normally intended for damages and cleaning. And we left the house cleaner than we found it. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Not worth the price either, not reasonable for the age and condition of the house.
Four adult members of our family got together in the Dallas area, staying at this charming lake house. It was clean, well maintained and provided a ideal location for a reunion. One evening, several extended family members came over for dinner. There was plenty of room for the gathering and the kitchen is large enough for food preparation. Internet access was a high priority and the WiFi was more than adequate.
We spent time in Frisco, Little Elm and Denton while staying at the lake house. I would highly recommend it.
The owner was pleasant to work with and promptly replied to every inquiry.
My husband and I recently stayed here with our 8 month old son. It was extremely clean, comfortable and big enough for him to crawl around in without getting into everything. It was also the perfect location to other family members that live nearby. We will definitely use it again!
We had a great time. It was quiet and comfortable. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Located in a peaceful neighborhood, it was within minutes of dropping the boat in the water. Thanks so much for having us.
Very clean. The house is an older home that has been tastefully remodeled. Very comfortable. The cove contains trees and is not appropriate for skiing. However, we were able to pull our boat up to the bank for loading passengers and it is not far from a wonderful ski cove.
Had a pleasant and relaxing weekend. Thanks for helping us put it together on short notice.
