Beautifully renovated apartment in possibly the best apartment building in St Jean Cap Ferrat on the second (top) floor. All rooms very light and south facing, the living room and the master bedroom have terraces with outdoor furniture for dining or sunbathing. The building is facing the port of St. Jean and the numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and beaches are only minutes walking distance. The pool, restaurant and terrace of the world famous Voile d'Or Hotel are 2 minutes walk away. The flat is tastefully and fully furnished. The master bedroom features a super king size bed, the second bedroom a king size. Both bedrooms and the living have reversible air conditioning and the bathrooms have individual heaters. The kitchen is fully stocked with Limoges china, glasses, kitchen utensils etc. Both south facing terraces are accessed via large double French doors, which means that the rooms are very bright all year round and warm and cosy in the winter sun
Public Transport: Public transport is very good in the region. The apartment is right in the village, where you can find all daily essentials: 2 very good butchers, 2 bakeries, fishmonger, little supermarket, wine shop, flower shop, newsagent, etc, as well as a multitude of restaurants and cafes. There is a bus to Nice bus terminal from the village almost twice an hour all day long (not at night and not Sundays). From there you can connect to a vast network of regional buses, ie St Paul de Vence, Biot, the mountains behind Nice, La Turbie etc. Beaulieu sur mer is only 20 minutes walk away (or a five minutes bus ride) and from there you can connect to a bus (every ten minutes) to Monaco/Monte Carlo. Beaulieu also has a train station with several trains an hour to Monaco or on to Italy, and the other way to Nice, Cannes or Antibes. There are several taxi companies available in the village. There are two car rental agencies in Beaulieu where you can rent on short notice a car for any lenght of time.
Water sports: There are many brokers locally who offer boats (sailing or motor) for rent, daily and long term, with or without skipper. Several places offer watersports such a water-skiing, wake boarding, pedalos, kite surfing or fun trips for children on plastic floaters.
Paloma beach (offering sun-bed rentals, full restaurant service, shower, changing rooms, waterski, wakeboading, windsurfing etc), the central village beach, 'Les Fossettes' beach and 'Les Fosses' beach are all only a 5 minutes walk away. 'Plage Passable' on the west facing side of the peninsula with great views at sunset with sun-bed rental and full restaurant service is 15 minute walk away. The beaches of Beaulieu sur Mer and Villefranche are a 5 minute drive away.
Walking - Hiking and Culture -Museums: There are many walks on and around the peninsula, for example around the little cap of St. Hospice, approx 45 minutes or al the way around the Cap Ferrat, approx 1.5 hours. The walk to Beaulieu sur is approx 20 minutes.The area on the coast behind Cap Ferrat is immediately quite mountainous and there are many trails which can be explored or hikes to be done with guides, both in summer and winter season.
There are several local museums in St. Jean (Villa Ephrussi Rothschild and Vila Kerylos, Museum of sea shells) and the area offers a large amount and variety of other cultural institutions larges based on the rich cultural heritage of the area (Nice: Museum of Modern Art, Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum; St. Paul de Vence: Fondation Maeght; Antibes: Picasso Museum; various Chapels with murals from Cocteau; many seasonal art exhibitions and festivals. The local tourist office has up to date information on all of this. There is also a Zoo on Cap Ferrat.

Why Owner chose Arrondissement de Nice
In the centre of the village, walking distance to everywhere, but as the same time totally quiet as facing gardens, no street noice. And south facing - hence sun all day.
What makes this Apartment unique
The bedrooms/bathrooms are at the opposite sides of the apartment, separated by the living room, hence a large amount of privacy.

Fabulous bright and airy
My daughters (twins age 12) an I stayed at this lovely apartment for one week. Wolfgang, the owner was very efficient and helpful. The apartment has two large King bedded rooms with bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and some nights we would prepare dinner with wonderful ingredients from the butcher and grocers all within 2 mins walk. We dined out at several of the great seafood restaurants on the port which are also 2 mins walk. We did not hire a car and found getting around very easy using public transport. The exquisite villa of baroness Rothschild is 3 stops on the bus and is a wonderful day out. We visited Nice for shopping and the brilliant Chagall gallery. The coastal walk from the apartment to the Pointe St Jean Hospice is stunning. After a day out we would relax on the comfy sun loungers on the balcony. The village and port are charming. I could write more but what I want to say is that we found the apartment like home. We hope to return again this year.
Airy Two Bedroom
We found the space in this light and airy two bedroom apartment quite abundant for the two of us. Having the second bathroom was a bonus. Even in April, we were able to be out on the balconies some of the time, enjoying the view of the garden and verdant hills. The location, right on the edge of the small village of St-Jean, is amazingly convenient.
Having a car (and a garage) was useful for visiting hill towns, such as Eze, La Turbie, and St Paul de Vence, as well as the tip of Cap d”Antibes. We also drove to the wonderful restaurant Mirazur, in Menton, for Easter brunch, the best meal we had during our entire month in France.
Coastal locations and central Nice are easily accessible by bus and train. But some of the best times were the walks along the costal trails of Cap-Ferrat, all accessible by foot from the apartment. We enjoyed dining in the restaurants along the port and even attending a harpsichord concert in the Church of St. Jean, virtually next door to the building.
All in all, a great place to stay, whether you want to explore up and down the coast, or just relax and see the sites and views of Cap-Ferrat.
Fantastic spot and lovely apartment!
We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in this property. It was more than spacious enough for two, and we found it good also with two additional adults who joined us for part of the time. The apartment is very well laid out, with bed/bathrooms at opposite ends so even two sets of friends can get a decent amount of privacy.
The kitchen is small but functional and well equipped, with a good sized fridge and good cooking facilities.
We particularly loved the sunny terraces by the master bedroom and the lounge. They overlook the property garden and a narrow footpath behind the property, fairly well used but in no way noisy.
The garage is best suited for a small car, but you can also do without the car altogether as there is a shuttle to the train station and good public transport along the coast.
Be sure to take in the views from the path around the peninsula and on the western side of Cap Ferrat! Breathtaking!

Very nice flat, superb location
Firstly, many thanks to the owner for his kindest approach and professionalism. Every single step of our transaction was a pure pleasure. The flat is located in the heart of Saint Jean, is cosy, tastefully furnished as advertised. Nothing to complain about, equipment more than sufficient. Watch your car, it should not be longer than, lets say, 480cm as the garage size underground would not fit to the longer one. Hopefully we'll be back.
We have had 4-6 weeks yearly at this wonderful flat since 2006. It is cosy, lots of daylight during winter months and because facing south, also warm during cold nights in January-February. It is like being at home in the middle of wonderful Cap Ferrat silence. Outdoor breakfasts even in February-March are real luxury for us, coming from dark and cold wintertime Finland. Fully equipped kitchen and shops very close, in the middle of village will guarantee nice home dinners during periods when harbor restaurants are having their fermeture annuelle.
The beautiful village of St. Jean is located on the prestigious pine tree covered peninsula of St. Jean Cap Ferrat, The village is nestled around its charming port and offers numerous shops, restaurants and cafes. The beaches are all well kept and some offer beach club/restaurant facilities with a variety of watersports. Four beaches are only a 5 min walk from the apartment. There are many walks around the peninsula with stunning views onto Beaulieu, Cap d'Ail, Italy or Cap d'Antibes and Nice. From St. Jean one can easily explore the region, public transport is well implemented to see the coast or visit the mountains. The closest ski resorts are only 1 1/2 hours drive away. The large city of Nice with all its attractions, beaches and shops is only 15 minutes away and on the other side Monaco/Monte Carlo glitters with its Casinos, Luxury hotels and gourmet restaurants. Italy is just a short train ride or drive away and attracts with its picturesque markets and variety of food. Golf: The golf clubs of Monaco, Opio, Mougins and Cannes all welcome visitors and are only a short drive away. Ski: There are a number of good ski resorts located close enough for a day trip. For example Isola 2000 and Auron in France or Limone in Italy. All can be reached by car - approx 1 1/2 hours drive or by public transport. There is also a large variety of accommodation in these resorts and it can be booked over the internet.
Additional information about rental rates
A final cleaning & laundry charge of 70 Euros for occupancy of up to 4 people will be deducted from the security deposit together with utility charges and breakages/damages.The renter should be insured for personal injury, theft etc. The owner refuses all responsibility for recourse that an insurance company may exercise against the owner in the case of an accident. Different rates might apply for Easter, Monaco Grand Prix and Christmas/New Year, please ask when you enquire.
