This lovely cottage by Hot Hole Pond is just perfect! My family and I spent a very happy week this past summer swimming, in the beautiful pond, soaking up the sun on the porch looking out at the pond and having an authentic New Hampshire summer experience. We explored the area and its lovely hiking trails, restaurants, and we especially loved the homemade ice-cream at the local ice-cream parlors. We highly recommend this cottage and we really appreciated working with Kathleen and her husband – they are extremely friendly, helpful and genuine people. Don’t miss out on this lovely vacation opportunity!
This is by far one of the loveliest places we have stayed on our travels. A quiet, beautiful lake setting, in a lovely cottage with all the amenities. We found the cottage easily and were able to get in with no fuss, and immediately we could sit down and relax on the full deck overlooking the lake. The cottage boasts a small "beachfront" going into "Hot Hole Pond", a clean and refreshing lake that is perfect for kids. The raft was a delight for my daughter, who pretty much spent the entire week out there, jumping into the water. The paddle boat and canoe was also a big hit for all of us, we spent a lot of time out on the water enjoying the lake's serenity.
Kathleen called on the first day to ensure we arrived ok, and that everything was to our satisfaction - which it was. We enjoyed the coziness of the cottage, and a gorgeous master bedroom overlooking the lake. The yard was private and beautifully manicured, where we could enjoy peace and quiet in the hammock.
We will definitely look into returning here! Loudon is close to Concord for all the groceries and shopping you need. We also enjoyed some of the host's recommendations for area activities. We loved staying here!
A wonderful experience! We found this property by total chance and what a find. A very quiet and relaxing setting. The cottage was charming and spottless with all the conveniences of home. Every morning we woke up made coffee and were off on a paddle around the pond, at night enjoyed the patio overlooking the water.
The owners were extemely accomodating and made sure we had everything we needed. They provided a great reference book of restaurants and attractions in the area that was very helpful.
Highly reccommend this property for your vacation!
What made this vacation so wonderful for us? Was it the inviting pond and sandy beach? The wonderfully decorated house, the cool summer breeze and the peaceful, secluded location? Well, yes, but there was something else: we simply felt at home. The secret is immaculate attention to detail: from the condiments and coffee to the boats and toys. It was as if the owners just stepped out and let us use their place for the week. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful summer getaway!!
From the moment we stepped onto the deck and looked up at the millions of stars, we knew we picked the perfect vacation spot. My wife and I, along with our 3 year old son felt right at home. The foliage was a colorful as promised, the cottage was nice and quiet, clean and located in a perfect secluded area. Our son was never bored with all the board games and toys the owner so thoughtfully stocked the cottage with. The paddle boat was a bonus as we spent many an afternoon on the pond. The cottage was also perfectly stocked with all kitchen utensils we could ask for and the bed in the master bedroom was almost more comfy than my own!! We would reccomend this cottage to everyone, but I want it to be available next time I go, so I hope not many people read this. Thanks for the wonderful stay, and we WILL see you again.
Beautiful little cottage, cozy and clean. During the week we had the refreshing, pristine lake to ourselves - we basically lived in it!!! Typically, on the weekends the area is a bit more lively. The view from the master bedroom is breathtaking. Relaxing on the deck was a special treat, such a spectacular view - almost felt like we were floating on the lake. There is plenty to do in the area if you can take yourself away from the cottage! All in all, it is a vacation that includes the best of everything. Enjoy!
