Amazing

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place! Only about 13 miles away from downtown Dells and Uber was able to drive us there and back. Went there with 6 other girls and had an amazing time. Great rooms and everything you need is there! Super cute and has that great cabin charm to it. Will definitely be back next year.

Our home away from home...

  • 5 of 5

This was our 5th time staying at the Treasure House and it was like coming home. Our group of 6 girls has been friends for 30+ years and we love coming to the Treasure House to reconnect, reminisce, eat, drink and laugh. Our accommodations are always perfect - we love the coziness of the cabin and the wonderful fire pit. The front porch is our favorite place to hang out, drink coffee and have lots of girl talk. Mark, the owner, is wonderful to work with and goes above and beyond to make sure we are always well taken care of. He even sent my favorite pillow back to me after I left it at the cabin! We look forward to coming back to the Treasure House next year and highly recommend this hidden treasure to anyone who is seeking a peaceful, quiet setting for a friend or family get-together.

Relaxing Family Getaway

  • 4 of 5

At first glance we were afraid that the cabin would be too small for our 2-family, party of 8. As soon as you walk-in, you're surprised at how much space is hidden from the curb. The cabin has a lower level with a BR, full bath and living area that opens up to the BBQ and fire pit garden in the back. The rooms are very clean and organized. Mark was very responsive and even recommended a place where all 4 high schoolers went horseback riding. My husband and I enjoyed a nice run in the area surrounding the cabin and in 45 mins only encountered 2 cars on the road. Within 10 miles of the cabin are incredible hiking trails which we also took advantage of with incredible views of rock formations and Devil's Lake. We were also close enough to the town of Baraboo for a little shopping. The only minor hitch we experienced is with using the BBQ grill. It was propane fueled and none of us were familiar with how much propane we needed to cook our meals. I texted Mark and immediately he was very gracious in stepping up to paying for extra propane that we might need to purchase during our stay. Fortunately, we didn't need more than what was already in the existing tank to grill the 2 meals that we planned to make. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and should our plans include being back in the area, we will definitely come back!!

Coziest Cabin Ever.

  • 5 of 5

This was the coziest cabin we ever rented. Just beautiful inside and out, most important it was very clean. We spent 3 days at the cabin to be honest I wanted to stay longer. Wisconsin dells was 10 min away which was perfect for our girls to enjoy little splash at Kalahari. For us adults just staying indoor was enough. I will recommend this cabin to everyone and can't wait to go back there in summer. Thank you so much Mark for hospitality and letting us stay in your Treasure house.

June 2015 Stay

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the cabin! As many have said, you're a 10-15 minute scenic drive from everything Dells. The porch was a wonderful place to spend the morning drinking coffee. The cabin was clean and cozy. Our group of 4 adults, 2 kids had enough space to spread out without feeling like we were on top of each other.

I will mention that the main floor bed mattress was not the greatest, so if you need a good mattress, choose a different bed. The lighting in the house (except for the kitchen) is pretty dim-especially in the basement. Anyone who has a some trouble seeing/reading without bright lights will certainly have a problem seeing clearly in the dim basement.

Having access to the washer/dryer in the basement was great! Not that you want to do laundry on vacation, but it prevented having piles to do upon return to the real world.

There were a couple small maintenance issues that I made Mark aware of (one stove burner doesn't work, microwave is missing it's handle), and I wouldn't hesitate to believe they'll be corrected shortly.

Oh! Bring bug spray and know that there is a LOT of poison ivy in areas that aren't grass-including the front bushes by the porch and just outside the basketball court (be careful retrieving the ball if it rolls towards the woods! That'd be a rough way to end vacation!)

The cabin worked really well for our family and we would happily return.
