We are delighted when people enjoy their stay at our Hawaii Vacation home in Hawaii Paradise Park. We take pride with our home, keep it immaculate and we are constantly making changes to accommodate guests who vacation here. We enjoy sharing our home with Hawaii vacationers!
Chris Chiodo purchased this house in 2006
We chose to purchase a home in Hawaii as it is beautiful place to live and we hope to retire there. The weather is lovely a majority of the time.
Fully equipped kitchen, have high speed Internet access, a flat screen TV, a well maintained home, lovely gardens, lovely lanai! A perfect getaway vacation home for someone on a honeymoon or for a family to enjoy!
We enjoyed our stay in the cute home very much! It was much nicer than we expected and everything was clean and well stocked!
When you think of Paradise on the Big Island, O'O house is the perfect place to stay. This is a beautiful, comfortable, immaculate and spacious home! This charming Hawaii Paradise Home provides a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. My husband and I were delighted when we arrived and entered this home for our vacation! We loved the cleanliness and the decor too.
This home is equipped with everything you need, including beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, fishing poles and golf clubs. The location was ideal too, close to Hilo, Farmer's Market, hiking trails, and volcano. The Keaau Framer's Market was only a few miles away with fresh vegetables, Hawaiian foods, and goodies. We enjoyed sitting on the front lanai and sipping coffee each morning as we viewed the lovely landscape. We heard the soothing sounds of the ocean, which is only a block away. When you walk outside of the house, turn right, then turn left, and there are trails for hiking or strolls along the ocean shore, very scenic! We visited Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, Kolekole Beach Park, Panalu'u Black sand beach, and toured volcano. We swam in the hot springs and went diving in Kapoho. We loved Paolo's Cafe, Hilo Bay Cafe, and Ken's House of Pancakes. This home provides the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of old style Hawaii, without large hotels and crowds.
The caretakers on the island were great, very friendly, but did not bother us. We loved the home and we plan on returning next year for more adventure! We recommend this Hawaii Paradise Vacation Home for couples or families that are looking for a great place to stay. Mahalo, Kim & Eric
This house offers everything you need on your adventure On the Big Island: a kitchen that has everything you would need, comfortable beds, nice & clean bathrooms, low maintenance & easy to clean counters, dishwasher, washer and dryer, TV (not that you would need it here), a big lanai for outdoor space, and lots of gear to play. You can walk five minutes to the rocky cliff and eat your picnic while watching the turtles swim in the surf. We were 5 people and had plenty of space to ourselves. Very nice neighbours too.
My family and I had a wonderful time at the O'o house. It's beautiful and peaceful. The house was very clean and spacious. Everything was practically provided, such as towels, shampoo, body wash, hair products to female products. The kitchen had everything as well. I would recommend this beautiful house to anyone who is visiting Hilo. Location is awesome, near the ocean cliffs. I would rent this house again.
My husband, toddler and I stayed at this home at the end of April. The location is perfect; quiet, private (despite neighbors on both sides), accommodating, not too far from the town of Hilo and a quick walk to the ocean. We took full advantage of the amenities; portable crib for our daughter, washer and dryer, grill, and loved just sitting and relaxing on the lanai. The bed in the master bedroom is comfortable and that room is the coolest room in the house. Despite not having AC, keeping the windows open and fans on allow good air movement in the house and it cools right down at night. There are plenty of bed linens, bath and beach towels and toiletries if you forget anything like sunscreen, shampoo, q-tips etc. The kitchen is well stocked, I would recommend checking to see what there is before heading to the grocery store ( there was a ton of peanut butter there already!).
The only two things that were kind of a pain were opening and shutting the gate every time you go in or out (it gets a little heavy) and at first despite turning the temp up in the fridge it seemed not to keep things too cool and stay at almost 60 degrees inside, but after playing around with it for a minute it cooled down.
I would recommend this property highly and would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay at O’O House in early April. My husband and I enjoyed having an entire house to ourselves for our vacation. It was a beautiful setting with the surrounding garden and the lanai. We had a big living room with kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. The house is well equipped with 4-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, barbecue, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, flat screen TV.
We heard the coquis at night but ithey didn’t bother us much. It was quite warm during the day but with the windows open, the cool evening air swept through the house.
If you walk down the road on the other side, it takes about five minutes to reach the lava cliffs which are amazing.
I wish we had more time just enjoying the house but we were on the road quite a bit visiting Kapoho Tide Pools, Volcano National Park, Rainbow Falls, Hawaii Botanical Gardens, Richardson Ocean Park.
But we loved preparing our own meals in the morning and evening.
We were three friends travelling around the Big Island via car and found this home perfect. Very bright and cheerful with a lovely front patio, ideal for breakfast. Great location that was quiet but not too far from lots of great spots. We went to several markets around the area that were really nice (and much appreciated the local info provided by the hosts). Thanks so much for a great stay!
Hawaiian Paradise Park is located 15 minutes outside of Hilo. Our home in Hawaii Paradise Park is surrounded by Ohia and Ironwood trees with the Pacific Ocean a few steps from the property across the street. This is a very quiet and peaceful area with other vacation renters and retirees nearby. Great location for Volcanoes National Park exploring, old town Hilo, surf and swimming spots and the Puna District. Walk to nearby tidepools or stroll the shoreline cliffs. Visit volcano, Botanical gardens, Akaka Falls, Rainbow falls, See large sea turtles at Richardson Bay, swim at hot ponds, visit Lava Tree State Park. Great spot to stay in for the Merry Monarch Festival held in April every year or local music and food fests. You can hear the ocean waves along the shoreline at night or maybe a passing rain shower to lull you to sleep. This area is the best kept secret on the Big Island. Half the amount of rain than Hilo, lots and lots of sunny days! Experience a taste of old Hawaii!
Golf: Golf located all over the Big Island. Beautiful courses both in Kona and in the Hilo side. Rates vary. Golf is a lot t more reasonable priced on the Hilo side.
