The house is amazing, owners are welcoming and helpful. Location is great to walk and enjoy countryside! There's everything you need in the house, from the kitchen to bathroom, lots of leaflets with attractions and places to visit! We had a small family doggy that enjoyed mountain walks and resting near warm and pet-safe fireplace, which is stunning!

Magical Mini Break!

  • 5 of 5

We have previously visited this area and absolutely love it, but this was the first time we have stayed in this property. We are so glad we did as it was beyond all our expectations and was perfect from start to finish.

The property itself, where do you start?! There aren't enough complimentary words in the dictionary to convey just how stunning and exquisite it is. Despite being absolutely vast and very modern in design, it manages to also feel very cosy and you immediately feel "at home". We felt like millionaires staying here and the novelty of the sheer luxury, class and opulence just doesn't wear off.

Everything you could ever want or need (and things you probably didn't even think about wanting or needing) are provided by the charming, friendly and welcoming hosts. Victoria and Sean were incredibly warm and kind and clearly put a great deal of thought and consideration into making your stay as pleasurable and enjoyable as possible.

A welcome hamper including locally sourced bacon, eggs and honey was extremely tasty, and Victoria even popped over with a still warm loaf! (It was gorgeous, thank you).

The fire was so cosy in the evenings, it was great reclining on the huge settees and relaxing after a full day of walking and exploring the stunning local areas. Sitting at the large dining table was a real treat, as the floor to ceiling windows gave you a breathtaking and ever changing view. It was awe inspiring.

Towels were thick and luxurious, the beds were super comfy, there is absolutely no expense spared in this property, the hosts really have gone above and beyond anything you could ever wish for during your stay.

I could go on and on about this property but I will leave it here. There is no way anyone could stay here and be disappointed in any way. It's the most incredible place we've ever stayed and we are already looking at dates for our next stay.

Cannot recommend enough!!!!

Lovely cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of walks just across the road and perfect for the Snowdonia ranges. The accommodation was clean and suitably sizable for a large party. The welcome hamper was a nice touch. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Everything was outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival, we met Victoria who gave us a tour of the cottage. My first thoughts were that the photos really do not do this place justice! My family and I were excited to stay here going by the photos but when you step inside Tan Y Coed, it's so much more than you could imagine! The open plan design provides the feeling of space yet an extremely homely feeling all rolled in to one. The views from the floor to ceiling windows are outstanding and although the weather wasn't favourable for our 10 days, this did not dampen our spirits or our views of the mountains.

Victoria and Sean were very welcoming and made us feel right at home and to top it off, Fintan the dog was always pleased with some attention! Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure that we always had sufficient supplies!

We have already made provisions to return to Tan Y Coed after we welcome our new arrival to the family and can certainly see us returning again and again!

Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again soon!!
