Mas de la Chapelle is a beautifully restored 17th century family farmhouse - located in the centre of Garrigues-Ste. Eulalie, some 12 minutes drive from Uzes. The spacious interior of the farmhouse was recently redecorated and upgraded and offers bright and spacious accommodation. Many of the rooms feature original exposed stone walls or wood beamed ceilings. Relax by the pool under the shade of the pool house and during the Autumn, enjoy the heated pool and the open fireplace. The village itself has a bakery within walking distance & a restaurant close by. Mas de la Chapelle is ideally located and enjoys pretty views over the neighbouring vineyards from the upper windows.

The house is arranged over 3 floors and comprises:-

* Large entrance hall with elegant original stone staircase rising to the upper floors

* One formal reception room and One family room. The tasteful first floor formal reception room with an attractive open fireplace and ample seating(& CD player) Second floor family room again with ample seating,and with UK satellite widescreen TV and DVD player.

* Elegant Dining room

* Extremely well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine & dishwasher.

*5 large bedrooms with antique furniture - 2 with 160cm beds, 1 with 140cm bed & en-suite bathroom, 1 with twin beds & 1 with twin beds which can be made up as 160cm double

* 2 further full bathrooms (in addition to the en-suite)

* 2 Guest toilets; 1 on the ground floor of house and 1 out in the pool house

* Garage/Utility Room with washing machine and dryer. Separate freezer

* Delightful courtyard garden with a table and covered seating area

* Pool house with covered dining area with ample seating and an open fireplace. Within the pool house itself is a fridge and a guest toilet.

* Gas barbecue

* Table tennis table

* Private swimming pool with security fence. The pool can be heated for an additional 100€ per week.

Family Reunion

Le Mas de la Chapelle in the pretty, quiet, sleepy hamlet of St Eulalie is the best property we have yet rented in Provence.

We planned a family reunion there with nine of us, coming from the UK, USA and South Africa. Because of the group size we were concerned that we should not feel cramped for space, so were delighted with the spacious living and sleeping accommodations, well-equipped kitchen and patio garden with pool - as we planned most days to be relaxing by the pool in the sun.

Because of the way the house has been laid out we had more than enough room and never felt in each other’s space. To the contrary, we often had three different social activities going on in the house: the second floor sitting room a group watching some international sporting event on the satellite TV with all major UK channels, the first floor sitting room a social gathering place for those non-sun lovers and outside a fantastic patio, dining and sun bathing area for everyone with a perfect temperature pool by the side for a dip. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, the house has ample bathrooms throughout and all bedrooms are of a good size.

For the more energetic of us we had regular table tennis championships by the pool, while a short walk from the house (or a quick ride using the house bikes) are two tennis courts in excellent condition, which we always found empty (the key is in the little basket by the cookbooks).

For those of a serious cycling disposition excellent quality road and mountain bikes can be hired from Village Velo in St. Quentin La Poterie, 5 kms from Uzes. The rolling countryside around St. Eulalie provides some decent riding circuits.

For our occasional excursions we loved the market in Uzes (Saturday and Wednesday), tasting at local wineries and olive oil mills and artisan soap shopping. Also the Pont du Gard, Avignon and Nimes are easily reached from the house.

But I suppose most importantly Le Mas de la Chapelle is a beautiful old house that has been modernized and furnished to a superb standard for all the needs of a group of 9-12 people. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a holiday home in Provence.

Great Family holiday stay

Mas de la Chapelle is lovely French farmhouse beautifully restored and comfortably furnished. Set in the small village of Ste Eulalie, it serves as a good base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and down through the Camargue to the coast. The accommodation is ideal for a large group or family with lovely sitting rooms on two floors. The owners have equipped the house well and it feels like you're staying in a much loved family home. From the dining room you walk through a courtyard garden filled with herbs, Lavender and Wisteria to a terrace by the pool with a fantastic covered outdoor area. Sun loungers, a huge dining table and plenty of seating and open fire you can't fail to enjoy the days and evenings next to the pool. There is a barbecue which was well used during our visit. We all had a fabulous time. The bakery, ten minutes walk, provided wonderful pastries and bread every day and some of us were lucky enough to visit Auberge la Privadiere, a short walk from the house, for dinner which was a delicious treat. The nearby town of Uzès (20 mins drive) has a great selection of restaurants and a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays where you'll be tempted by all the lovely local produce.
