I've lived in the suburbs of Orlando for over 30 years and being retired , have been looking for an ideal home close to the action of the city. I was looking for a home where I could eventually reside. After looking at this home, I immediately fell in love with it. Those who have stayed in this Hyer Ave home will remember Karen Olivier as it's previous owner.
Linda K Russow purchased this house in 2015
This home is ideally located in the heart of downtown yet nestled in an historic enclave known as Lake Eola Heights. All of the houses are unique in this area of Orlando and all are well maintained. I was enchanted by the exterior of this home with it's unique stucco and inviting backyard patio. The most appealing aspects of the interior have been preserved while other features have been tastefully updated. The residential area is quiet and safe, yet the hustle of the city is just a few blocks away.
The House at 429 Hyer was a real gem. Its a short walk to Lake Eola. For the 4th of July we just walked from the house to the Lake and saw the BEST Fireworks display we had ever seen. The House was neat and clean, and very well maintained, was just right for us. The house and location was a match to what was listed in the VRBO brochure online. We ate at some great place also, You have to check our SOCO. Get the Dumplings.
We will be back for sure on our next vacation, Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful property! It was very nice and spacious and clean! We liked the location, because it was close to Lake Eola and convenient to downtown. We hope to come back soon to visit family, and stay here. Thanks, Linda, for being responsive to all of our questions.
Really enjoyed our time at the house in Orlando.
It was perfect for our trip to Orlando to attend a wedding at the Orange County History Center (1 mile away)!!
Also walked around Lake Eola and took a Swan boat ride.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was just as it appeared in the pictures. It was close to a multitude of restaurants and stores but outside of the theme park traffic.
We stayed for 3 days in early Spring. Location and neighborhood was awesome. We enjoyed our daily walks to Lake Eola park with the dogs. Also very close to the nice area of Winter Park. The home itself was very clean and spacious for a 2 bedroom. Great kitchen although we didn't really use it. Nice having a fenced in yard for the dogs, although not alot of green grass to roam around in. We didn't use the grill but nice to know it's there. Owner was very responsive. Would have no concerns about staying here again, all in all a great visit!
