Villa, 3 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 6) Guest Casita w/1 Br. And Ba.
Casa del Cielo is a spectacular oceanfront villa with an unobstructed 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean and the Coast. It is located within an 11-acre jungle and sea estate and offers a level of privacy that is rare for oceanfront property. This romantic, classically styled Mexican villa evokes scenes from old movies set in tropical jungles. View pelicans, frigates, dolphins, whales, iguanas, butterflies, and other wildlife while sipping cold drinks from the privacy of the patio. When you wish to get closer to the waves, hike down the trail to the private beach where you might encounter turtles preparing to nest. On the jungle side, enjoy breakfast in the cool garden next to the fountain. When the day warms up, relax and unwind in the infinity pool where you will feel like you are on the edge of the world; linger to see another breathtaking sunset.
The villa itself is large and fully equipped. It has 4 bedrooms including one master suite on the second floor with full bath and private balcony. Another bedroom suite connects to a full bath and separate living and patio area. The remaining two bedrooms on the main share a full bath and there is an additional half bath nearby.
When you find yourself wishing for more company, you can take a five-minute walk through the jungle on the private road to the main San Pancho beach. Continuing down the beach you will find the well known Costa Azul residential and resort areas with all hotel amenities and activities available: jungle tours, kayaking, surfing, and horseback riding.

Casa del Cielo is very well located with a spectacular ocean view and a 10 minute walk to the beach
We were seven adults and two young children and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Cielo for one week. The view from the terrace is spectacular. We saw whales on most days and watched the sunset. The main beach is close: a 10 minute (steep) walk, fine for adults, a bit tricky for younger children or people with less mobility. The main bedrooms are large, comfortable with good beds, and there are two good sized bathrooms. We were also very happy to use the fourth bedroom outside: it’s a bit less comfortable but still fine. The housekeeper Chuy and the maid Jessie were great, very helpful. The kitchen is well equipped. A dishwasher would be a great addition to the kitchen, especially for people like us who love cooking. However, this was easily resolved by asking Jessie to help us on additional days/hours. We didn’t really use the pool: it’s quite small and shaded for most of the day in Dec/Jan but I can imagine it is great in hotter times of year. Overall we loved our stay at Casa del Cielo.
We had an awesome time! GRACIAS!
The house is so beautifully designed amidst a lush tropical jungle, nestled on a cliff, dramatically sitting just above the ocean. The long driveway up to the house is a jungle fantasy under a canopy if trees. What a treat to swim in the infinity pool while looking out at the waves! Even the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us. (Remember to tip generously. The locals work hard for a very low minimum wage.)
We were warned that the internet was weak in this part of the jungle, but it worked well the entire time. No problems.
Kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need, and there are plenty of local Mercados in town to stock up on groceries.
We rented a golf cart for the duration of our stay (Chuy the house manager helped us with this, too) it's a fun, affordable, safe and environmentally friendly way to get around town. San Pancho gets congested with cars and parking can be difficult. Parking with a golf cart was always easy, plus it makes no noise and runs on a rechargeable battery. If you want to go out of town, driving to the bus stop or the taxi stand and parking it for the day was a breeze.
All in all, a SUBLIME stay and one that will be in our hearts for many years to come;)
Muchas gracias Ana y Diego! We lived our stay!
We recently returned from a wonderful San Pancho vacation and stay at Casa Del Cielo. We shared the casa with two other couple. The house is spacious with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Somehow I thought each bedroom in the main house had its own bathroom but that is not the case. The two bedrooms on the main floor share a full bath although there is another bathroom without a shower on the main level off the kitchen. The apartment accessed outside the house has a nice bathroom but the bed in that bedroom is quite small although they replaced it while we were there with a queen bed, I believe. The outdoor spaces and views are incredible -- we love watching the sun set every evening and the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below. The pool is nice but the water was very cold -- refreshing on a hot day.
The house is located a ways from San Pancho but some of us walked to town every day via the beach. However, I highly recommend having a vehicle. We had difficulty finding the house when we arrived. Do not assume they start on the highway. You have to turn into San Pancho/San Francisco and proceed down the main street. We found it's easiest to take a right on Americano Latina (street signs are hard to find) but there is blue building on the corner. Then find your way to Las Palmas and follow directions from there.
The housekeeper, gardner, and house manager are all very friendly and nice but just so you know, they do not speak English. And embarrassingly so, we did not speak Spanish so communication was challenging.
Cell phone and internet coverage is spotty in the house and patio, and actually everywhere we went in the area. No problem for us as we were on vacation.
Finally, we rented a car from Gecko.com which I highly recommend as they will pick you up at PVR airport and took us to their office in Bacieros. Their shuttle to and from airport is free. It was great not to have to navigate the crazy traffic in and our of the airport.
We would definitely stay at Casa del Cielo again.
Thank you so much Amy for your kind words! We are so happy you enjoyed your time at our Casa del Cielo! I would be happy to revise the driving directions :) and I apologize for any confusion.
We look forward to having you come back and visit us in paradise again soon!

beautiful cliff side retreat
The house was beautiful, right on the bluff overlooking the ocean located about a mile North of San Pancho. Incredible views. We were 5 women and enjoyed it very much. It would have been difficult to come and go with out our rental car though. Also the 4th bedroom located off the garage is really not up to par-- it was moldy and dark. So basically i would give the house a 5 star rating if it weren't for this 4th bedroom. If you only need three bedrooms.... house is perfect!
We just left San Pancho today, and I want everyone to know that this house is amazing! We stayed with a few couples all attending a nearby wedding. This home was the perfect location for a san pancho wedding. most people going to the wedding stayed at a nearby resort... And when people heard of this house they were wondering why they had not thought to find a VRBO property. Loved our stay, and can't wait to go back!
You really are in the sky!
We just returned from our trip to San Pancho and, truly, one of the best parts of our trip was our accommodations at Casa Del Cielo!!! Comfortable, spacious and down right amazing views! There were 3 couples and each room was equipped with large beds, room for our stuff and privacy to boot! Another fourth room offered a very private space but the bed was much smaller and less inviting. That said, nothing else was anything other than PERFECT! We loved the pelicans flying at eye level, the few whales, perhaps dolphins and the critters you see in one of the photos came for a visit, too. But they are so tame and cute! We loved the sleepy town of San Pancho and as another reviewer commented, we much prefer it over Sayulita. We stumbled upon a great restaurant near the house, Marplata, it's a hidden gem! Thank you Ana and Diego, it was truly a delight. We hope to come back every year! Just one tip - we highly recommend a car! The walk into town is a little far, especially if you're carrying anything such as groceries, beach amenities, etc.
Vista del Mar is a 12 acre natural preserve with only 5 homes on the ocean front. Located .5 miles North of San Pancho, the main entrance is the first wrought iron gate on the left side of Las Clavelinas road. Casa del Cielo is the 4th. Driveway.
