Overview

Cape Cod House Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 14)

Family friendly 4,200 sq ft waterfront home with a private dock on lake Wequaquet, one of Cape Cod's largest! This home is 5 years old with beautiful furnishings and a sophisticated, yet casual elegance that allows you and yours to unwind almost immediately! There are 4 spacious bedrooms each with its own full bath, including the master bedroom equipped with a balcony overlooking the lake, gas fireplace, double shower w/ steam and a Jacuzzi tub. The Main floor with its open floor plan, mini bar and gas fireplace were designed for entertaining the easy way! The kitchen is a chef’s delight with Granite countertops, a six burner commercial Dynasty Stove and of course a beautiful view. The Basement is completely finished with a bedroom, full bath and a full size kitchen. There is also a full gym on the top floor with a sofa and large screen TV...Got Kids? There is also a detached carriage style bunk house with TV only 50 ft. from the main house. Also, amazing sunsets!

Centerville sits on a peninsula on the southern side of Barnstable. With its maritime location on Nantucket Sound, Centerville was once home to wealthy ship captains who built stately homes in the early 1800s. Centerville is probably best known for Craigville Beach, one of the most famous on the south shore, to which visitors flock for boating, beachcombing and, of course, swimming in the calm surf and warm water of Nantucket Sound. To the east of Craigville Beach is the residents-only Covells Beach. Wequaquet Lake, the Cape’s largest lake, is popular with residents and their guests, and Centerville River inlet is terrific for canoeing and kayaking. Centerville is just minutes to downtown Hyannis, the Kennedy Compound in Hyannisport, summer theatre, the Cape Cod Mall, golf, and ferries to the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Also in Hyannis is the Cape Cod Melody Tent, offering big-name entertainment.

Beautiful well maintained cottage

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful well maintained cottage. We were group of 14 people and all of us were impressed by the cottage. Lots of rooms and beds. There was a maximum of 20 minute drive to all our planned destinations. We would try to rent out this cottage again.

Beautiful Home, Great for Large Groups!

  • 5 of 5

I had thought I'd posted a review months ago, but when looking at the property again, I realized I hadn't - Mark, I sincerely apologize for the delay, as you certainly deserved a great review!

A group of 12 of us rented the house for a long weekend for a race we were running. Mark replied to all questions and inquiries quickly and provided great information. Upon arrival, the house was very clean, modern, and spacious. The property itself is in a perfect location - secluded yet a quick drive to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The dock and lake views are an added bonus!

I would highly recommend this property for large groups and families, as there is more than enough room to spread out but still cozy enough to enjoy each other's presence. Additionally, the prices are more than reasonable and it always helps to deal with a responsive and friendly owner.

Thank you for having us, Mark! We truly enjoyed our stay! Especially the shower in the master bath after having run long distances!

Summer Games 2015

  • 5 of 5

My family, friends and I could not have been more pleased with this cozy inviting lake front home. We stayed in August and the weather was absolutely fabulous. This home away from home is tucked neatly in a very private country setting yet close to everything like Craigville beach which was gorgeous and Hyannis for a great day in the harbor and excellent shopping. Wonderful appointed open floor plan, there is plenty of main living area to relax, chat, and be mesmerized by the sunset views off the lake. Kitchen is well stocked, complete with all the amenities a huge crowd needs for spectacular lobster dinners. Mark recommended cape tip which had glorious fresh seafood. The beds were all comfortable with fresh linens and nicely decorated they had that real family feel. Washer and dryer in laundry room was great for washing up those beach towels.

Great deck off the back of the house with views of the lake while barbecuing on the large grill complete with out door speakers for summertime tunes. The bar in the living room was a great touch for 5 o'clock cocktails and of course being close to the huge big screen TV for those fantasy football draft picks.

Spectacular house it exceeded all of our expectations. Mark (Sparky) was much more than a generous host he became a friend.

Girls Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 12 women stay in this house for a weekend getaway and it was fantastic! The house was clean and comfortable. Everyone had a bed to sleep in and with 4 full bathrooms, showering and getting ready for a night out was easy. The house is perfect for large groups with the open floor plan. It's also an easy drive to Hyannis or Craigville Beach. Mark, the owner, was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had leading up to and during our stay. Everyone was very impressed and we are hoping to go back again! Thank you Mark for a great weekend!

Awesome Summer Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

My extended family stayed at this house for a week during August and it was everything for which we could ask. The house is even better than the pictures show and Mark (owner) was right there to make sure we knew how to use everything and went way above and beyond to make sure this was the perfect trip. Incredibly close to Hyannis, but also tucked away in a private cove so you feel like you are on a remote island. The lake is beautiful and there is plenty of yard for family activities. Perfect view of sun setting from the outside deck provided the perfect setting for our cocktail gatherings each night. I cannot think of a single complaint except that our vacation had to end! I grew up in Cape Cod and have been vacationing there for 15 years since moving to CA and I have never stayed in a better location. Can't recommend it highly enough and I agree with all the other reviews except for the one person below who must have met an entirely different Mark than we did because the owner could not have been more hospitable and helpful!

Nice home with plenty of space and a great owner

  • 4 of 5

We had 8 of us stay at the home in July 2015. The home provided us with privacy while at the same time being extremely close to the main highway and downtown Hyannis. Just couldn't ask for a better location. Mark was great and gave us everything we needed and could have asked for, and the home had all of the amenities you want or need for a large group. It is simply a great home for entertaining and for a family vacation. It slept all of us very comfortably. There are some very small things that could make it one of the Cape's best large home rentals (i.e., updating some of the wear and tear on the home, A/C upgrade for those unique and unusually hot Cape summer days), but all in all, it was a wonderful stay.
