Located on a picturesque lava bluff, our condo offers a stunning and unobstructed view of the ocean from our top floor unit. As you relax on the lanai, watching the ocean, you can hear rhythmic sounds of the surf crashing on the lava below.
The condo complex offers several amenities. Enjoy the private swimming pool and heated jacuzzi. Play tennis on the tennis court or grill out in the barbecue pavilion. The pace is very laid back, the essence of Kauai. The condo is comfortable for couples or families. There have been several honeymoon couples that enjoy the privacy of the complex.
Decorator furnishings and a well equipped gourmet kitchen will make your stay a delight. The unit is cooled by the trade winds which are usually quite brisk. Please note there are no elevators. The condo has all the conveniences you will need to enjoy your vacation. There are beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler for picnics. A washer and dryer come in handy
Cable and high speed wireless Internet are there for your use. While sitting out on the lanai, email all your friends about your wonderful vacation!
1/2 mile to the east is the Hyatt Resort and Shipwreck Beach. The grounds are incredible! 1/2 mile to the west is Poipu Beach and the Marriott Waiohai. Here you can swim on a life guarded beach, snorkel near a small island, boogie board the waves, take surfing lessons, or enjoy the outdoor aquarium. There are monk seals, turtles and beautiful tropical fish in the water with you. You can rent equipment at Poipu Beach.
The legendary Poipu Bay Golf Course is minutes away and is open to the public.
The best restaurants on Kauai are in Poipu, Roy's Bar and Grill, The Beach House, and Tidepools at the Hyatt. Brick oven pizza is a 15 minute drive away. There is shopping near by as well.
The condo is located on the southern most tip of the island, the sunny part of the island. Drive 1-1/2 hours north to the rain forest part of the island. There are many adventures there. Drive 1-1/2 hours to the west and visit the arid side of the island. Visit the Grand Canyon of Hawaii, Waimea Canyon, a 45 minute drive to the west. There are many hiking trails here. All this is packed into one island with our condo located in the middle of it all, with an ocean view.
There are more things to do on Kauai than you can do on one vacation so plan on coming back, several times. We hope you enjoy the island as much as we do! Mahalo for considering our home .

Bonnie Aitken purchased this condo in 2005
The south side of the island is the sunny side of the island. As the complex sits right on the ocean, there is always a breeze, unless the trade winds are completly gone. At night there is always an off shore breeze. I like hearing the waves crash on the lava bluff.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful condo for our honeymoon! It's very spacious, comfortable and has modern appliances. The view of the ocean is breathtaking and the condo is very close to beaches, restaurants, and shopping! We highly recommend staying in this condo and will definitely be returning!
Bonnie really cares about her guests and her condo. We had a lot of communication prior to booking and as needed during our stay. The condo is very well stocked and had more little goodies than some of the other properties we have rented. The kitchen is well equipped and all linens etc were comfortable. Only thing that didn't happen as promised is the tropical storm we were hoping for. We highly recommend Bonnie's place for a relaxing vacation.
We had a great vacation at Bonnie's condo. There were 6 people in our group. The condo is very spacious. The kitchen has everything you could need. The beds are comfortable. There are beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and everything you need for a beach day. The condo complex is very nice and the views are amazing. Bonnie's condo has beautiful ocean views. You get a great breeze through the condo when the windows are open. The only trouble we had was with the wifi. It worked fine in the living room but not so great in the bedrooms. This wasn't much of an issue for us, as we were out and about enjoying the island. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. Bonnie was wonderful to work with and provided lots of great info on things to do around the island. Great condo, great owner, great vacation. Can't wait to return.
After several trips to the other islands, our family decided to try Kauai for a change. We stayed here in late June 2016, 5 of us, including 3 teenagers who wanted a combination of sun, sand, combined with adventure/activities. We were not disappointed. The Poipu location made it easy to get everywhere, even the drive to the North side wasn't difficult. Being on the South side during a wetter-than-normal week, we were still able to find plenty of sun on the "drier" side of the island. The condo itself was spacious, updated, clean and perfect for our family. I need to point out that the owner (Bonnie) went more than out of her way to suggest activities and things to do, and her communication was extremely prompt. Unfortunately, right before our trip, a small issue in her condo required some modest construction work while we were there. This was out of her control, but Bonnie went way out of her way to make sure that this situation didn't have a negative impact on us - I can't emphasize enough how accommodating she was as we worked through this with her. The activities on this island are amazing - we enjoyed multiple hikes, some great boarding (big waves in Kekaha!) - zip-lining, and a catamaran ride up the Napali Coast. It was a little windier and rainier than our experiences on Hawaii and Maui have been, but the beauty of the island and activities made up for that. The views from the condo are amazing, as we saw turtles and dolphins on multiple days from the balcony. The access to nearby beaches is extremely convenient. Almost all the beach equipment one would ever need was on hand. Thanks so much for working with us, we had a fantastic time! We'd definitely stay here again.
This was our first time using VBRO and we were a little nervous about everything but Bonnie went above and beyond to make the experience exceptional. Everything about the unit is as advertised and the pictures probably do not do justice to the views and overall property. There is plenty of space in the unit and it is very clean, well appointed and up to date. Everything you need to enjoy your vacation is there including cooking supplies, towels, toilet paper & paper towels, beach equipment (chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, surf board) and a few flat screen TVs. Bonnie supplied us with detailed instructions and suggestions for our trip and was available for questions - plus gave us some contacts on property to reach out to if needed. Basically, there is nothing really that she has not thought of and this really made for a relaxing stay. The pool and hot tub on property are nice and there are some nice clean grills to use as well. There is a great walking path nearby and Poipu beach and shops are a very short drive. This is a great location.
I would strongly recommend this rental to a friend and hope to return on our next visit to Kauai.
We had the best vacation ever. The condo was just like the what the pictures show. It was so comfortable, clean, well equipped and the view was amazing. My husband and I traveled with our two children and our mother and father in-law. There was plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved having the 3rd floor with a TV for the times when they needed down time, and we needed adult time.
We loved having our beach days at Poipu Beach. It was a few minute drive from the condo and we really appreciated the chairs, ice chest, boogie boards, towels, toys, bamboo mats, etc. provided. We got sandwiches at Brenneke's and rented our snorkel gear next door.
The owner pays attention to all of the details and that made our trip so smooth. We will be coming back to this place as soon as we can.
Koloa and Poipu Beach are on the southernmost tip of the island of Kauai. The area is known for sunny weather most of the year. Poipu beach is a 1/2 mile walk and is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You can swim with monk seals, turtles, and tropical fish. You can surf, boogie board, and snorkel all on one beach. There is even a baby pool section of the beach, surrounded by lava rocks.
