Beautiful, comfortable, private location

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful decor, large kitchen, great bedrooms with log type beds, great linen, comfortable beds. The upstairs loft was really neat. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, would suggest an additional very large 6 qt. pot for soups or pasta preparation. Linens were very nice. Very private location. Easy access - we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay here again. We had a adult family group of five and were very comfortable. Only stayed one night - wished we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend this property. Was a convenient location.

Sterling cabin

  • 4 of 5

Great cabin in sterling. Large sleeping areas and kitchen. Sitting area was quite small with just one couch and a rocker, but otherwise a great cabin for our group of seven. Only stayed one night as we were just passing through on our way to Homer.

There was quite a bit of confusion with hidden fees at the beginning of our booking, but I believe the owner has adjusted the site now to make them more visible and forthcoming. Also, one of the queen beds was broken, but considering how well everything else was taken care, I would assume the owner is taking care of this too as I don't think he was aware of it.

Cabin stay

  • 5 of 5

First time to rent a cabin for my relatives from California and Texas. We enjoyed our stay. Very spacious for 10 ten people. Fully furnished, big grill, landing net, cooking items, extra blankets, pillows and towels and laundry soap. Everything is there. Quiet and not far from the city of Sterling

Very nice rental!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 5 nights in September. Got our limits on Silvers each day. Too late for Halibut. This cabin is very comfortable and has everything we needed. Great location and quite. Beds are great and the kitchen is stocked. Big table to play games or tie flies.

We will be back!

More Than Expected!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 stayed here for a week from May 24-May 30th. It was amazing. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen had everything from a crock pot to a waffle maker! This is a great location for day trips to Ancorage, Seward, Kenai, Saldonta and Homer. All of which we visited. The cabin is spotlessly clean and very well kept. The major grocery store is about 15 minutes away in Soldotna. There is a Super Walmart 30 minutes away in Kenai. Be sure to visit Skilak Lake Road! We saw black bears, brown bears, moose and bald eagles. I recommend going early morning or later at night. The owner, David, went above and beyond to assist our family with our vacation rental needs!

Family of 7

  • 5 of 5

This cabin had everything our family needed. The kitchen offered the basic neccessary items, washer and dryer and nicely decorated rooms. We were able to sight see, gold mine, hike the Kenai wildlife refuges, fish halibut and king salmon successfully. We highly recommend the "Keeneye The Fish Guy" for fishing. He has lived in the area for over 20 years and is located locally. Very nice and patient if fishing for the first time and very knowledgeable regarding all the good spots if you have been fishing all your life.

Soldotna is a quick drive from the cabin and the city of Kenai is just a few miles further. The cabin is very cute, clean and well maintained. Our large family had all we needed. We never seen any moose by the cabin, but we knew momma and baby had been there, their tracks were left behind. Moose are everywhere on the Sterling Hwy, mainly in the evening and early morning hours. The owner was very helpful and informative. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.
