We owned a condo in a much larger complex, After Hurricane Iniki we stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo in this quite little 35 unit condo complex, we fell in love with the views and the sound of the ocean and wanted to be able to share our little piece of heaven with others.
Jim purchased this condo in 2001
I went to high school on Kauai and even after I moved back to the mainland, a part of my heart always stayed on Kauai, the natural beauty, the wonderful people, and
the great aloha spirit kept calling me back. We owned a condo in a much larger complex that didn't have a pool and it felt less like family staying in Sunset Kahili is being with Ohana (family)
You can stay in the lovely 2 bedroom unit #201 on the second floor at Sunset Kahili. You can see the white water below, and down the coast past Spouting Horn to the Island of Niihau.
You will hear the ocean waves crash below (what a lullaby at night) and you can see the water from almost every room of the Condo.
You will enjoy the provided beach chairs, beach towels, and an ice chest for your travels to great beaches and picnics areas around the Island. The Master bedroom has a King size bed, with a large wheelchair access shower in the bathroom, The living room and dining room are equipped with TV, DVD, CD player including IPOD hook up, and high speed internet. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and a second full bath. There is a fully stocked kitchen, with small and large appliances, full compliment of cookware and table settings for a party of eight, plus a washer and dryer. The Balcony is the best spot on the Island for Sunsets (thus the name Sunset Kahili). There are custom made Balcony height chairs, and lounge chairs on the balcony for your comfort plus binoculars for viewing.
The complex also provides a large community room, swimming pool, an assigned parking space, and 2 BBQs.
This is a smoke free building both inside and out.

Thank you for the use of your beautiful condo (1br) for our recent trip to Kauai. The apartment went above and beyond our expectations for everything. Upon our arrival, the condo was absolutely immaculate. You have thought of everything in your well stocked home away from home. We were also quite delighted with the hospitality of the residents at the Sunset Kalihi. I can promise that we will be back and definately will refer anyone we know planning a trip to Hawaii to visit our new favorite island, Kauai...and to you for accomodations.

Very happy with it, as it's an end unit on the second floor. Saw beautiful double rainbows from the balcony while we were there-only drawback was the weather, which was hot, humid, and rainy with no tradewinds blowing due to the back to back storms headed for Hawaii, which was very unusual. We stayed on Kauai for 4 days and our first time, but I would stay longer next time at this condo. Very nicely furnished 2 bedroom& we could of stayed in & cooked ,but we chose to explore Kauai.
It felt like our home away from home & located in beautiful sunny Poipu Beach-we did 3 hr ATV ranch tour at Kipu Ranch which I highly recommend & best to take it earlier in the day, which we did at 8 am. If you want to go to breakfast, the best spot I found was Kalaheo Café-go in, grab a menu, find seating, then order, it gets crowded and busy very quickly. We had dinner at Keoki's which was very nice; tried Puka Dog for lunch, not that impressed & on the expensive side for a hot dog, had the mango relish with lilikoi mustard, think the buns were Hawaiian sweet bread-too much bread for my taste, but you can say you've experienced it. Last but not least, try JoJo's for shave ice-homemade Hapia topping with macademia nut ice cream-yummy!!!
Be sure to catch Waimea Canyon & the Spouting Horn before you leave....

The condo was roomy and comfortable for our family of five. It had everything we could've imagined we would need and some things we never imagined we would need. The views are amazing from the kitchen, living and front bedroom. Having breakfast and dinner on the balcony was superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo. The owner was quick to reply with answers when questions arose. We will be back!
Super ocean views, even from the kitchen sink! Enjoyed the beach chairs and coolers they provide to take along with us sightseeing; and by the way the condo is equipped with a coffee grinder to grind the superb fresh Poipu plantation coffee! The separate bedroom and bath for our sons was ideal.
My family of 4 stayed stayed in Jim's Condo at Sunset Kahili for 4 very short days. The time flew! The condo was very tidy, clean and comfortable. The views were out of this world. Looking out all of the main windows in the unit were views of the ocean. I'd imagine during whale season the sights would be fantastic. As it was, we could look about any time of the day and see turtles swimming below. Falling asleep to the crash of the surf was soothing. The condo was extremely well stocked. I only cooked a couple of times, but didn't want for anything. The barbq area was close, clean and well maintained. The walk to Poipu Beach was short and easy. Brennecke's Beachfront Restaurant was as close as the beach, and a good place to take a short walk to have a great cocktail before bed or with dinner. There are many restaurants, grocery stores, and boutiques all within short driving distance. The pool was small, but beautiful. We enjoyed the fresh soft water after a long day out on the ocean. Our stay was fantastic...the only regret, that we couldn't stay longer. Would definitely recommend to others for a great stay at a fantastic place.
The best attraction is the view from the Lanai
