With its central location and thoughtful amenities, this Kauai vacation rental is sure to exceed every expectation. If you’re looking for proof, all you have to do is read our glowing reviews. Past guests often comment that their Kauai experience would not have been the same had they stayed anywhere else.

Our vacation home, Ka Pua Hale—meaning “Blossom House”—couldn’t be better situated. The secluded Sea Lodge Beach is a short walk away, and its pristine shoreline is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or basking in the sun. A few minutes’ drive in the opposite direction brings you to the heart of Princeville, where you can pick up fresh pineapples at the local farmers’ market or tee off at the popular Makai Golf Club. Don’t forget to visit the 2,500-acre Princeville Ranch, where you can zipline through the jungle, explore the local waterfalls on horseback, and kayak down Kauai’s picturesque Kalihiwai Stream.

After a full day of adventure, Ka Pua Hale is the perfect retreat. The house is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and a one-and-a-half-acre community park, ideal for practicing your golf stroke or watching the sunset over the volcanic mountains. The home also includes a shaded terrace with several lounge chairs and an outdoor dining area.

Inside, the cathedral ceilings and Tommy Bahama-style furnishings invite you to kick back in true Hawaiian comfort. Our vacation rental costs less than any Princeville hotel. But, unlike a hotel, you get a full private home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a full-sized washer and dryer. We also provide plenty of extra amenities, including mountain bikes, a high chair, a Pack ’n Play, snorkel gear, golf clubs, boogie boards, and beach chairs. And did we mention that, unlike many accommodations in the area, you can stay as few as three nights?

This popular and well-rated Kauai vacation rental is sure to book fast. Contact us today to reserve your dates!

About Liz Kukulka

I love the outdoors...especially beaches! Kauai has the most spectacular beaches and they are all public! Having a busy life with work and family, Kauai is my retreat to just relax and let go. I love the people, the scenery and the weather...I am from Buffalo NY so you can understand that!!

Liz Kukulka purchased this house in 2006

Why Liz Kukulka chose Princeville

My husband and I fell in love with Kauai in 1995 and decided to buy a home to retire here. The area is great for hiking, kayaking, every kind of water sport, biking and has a very nice community feeling. Princeville has everything you need; shopping, restaurants, beaches, library, parks, bike paths and a great group of residents! Once we are ready to retire we will make it our home!

What makes this house unique

Kauai's North Shore is a beautiful tropical area with a lot of character, its unique beaches, spectacular hikes and meandering rivers for Kayaking or paddle boarding. It is a laid back, relaxed area for a tranquil rejuvenating vacation. It truly is paradise, once you come you will want to return!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your home is beautiful, just like the island. We had an amazing vacation with great weather, no rain! Much better than snowy Buffalo! We did tons of great activities, hikes, whale watch etc. The seals are great and the birds in the yard were fun to watch! Your house has it all, we will return again! Mahalo!

Lovely home on a lovely island

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for 6 of us. We took advantage of the wonderful farmer's markets for fresh fruit and enjoyed lots of the nearby restaurants in the darling town of Hanalei. Our stay was far too short, but we managed to squeeze in beach time, an ATV adventure, botanical gardens and Waimea Canyon. We appreciated all the amenities Liz and Dave have for their guests; beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, well stocked kitchen and the guest book with laminated maps to the hidden beaches. It was super fun to watch movies featuring Kauai too. We rent through VRBO several times a year and appreciate the responsiveness and communication Liz and Dave offer when booking. Now we get why there are so many glowing reviews for such a reasonably priced property!

High quality, quiet, and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We had a great but too short stay. The house is nicely located and the outside areas are private. Kitchen is well equipped. We made many meals here. Very quiet neighborhood. We took advantage of the beach chairs and towels. Loaded them in the car trunk and left them there for the stay. While the whole house is great the master bedroom is really the best bedroom. We were traveling as two couples so it was just a bit awkward to decide about who gets the front bedroom without the bath and the master with. Not a big deal. Enjoy your stay.

Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly loved our stay at Liz's vacation rental. Beautiful home with all the conveniences anyone would want. There was plenty of swim toys (snorkel gear, beach mats, boogie boards, etc.). The home has great air circulation on those hot humid days, unlike a condo that has common walls and poor ventilation. One super amenity is the little private beach at the end of Keoniana Road. An easy walk and practically empty throughout the day. The sand is course shells and not nearly as sticky as the fine sands on other popular beaches. This beach is in my opinion the best snorkeling beach on the north shore. Another plus is that the adjoining neighbors went out of there way to make us feel welcome and share regional secrets you don't find in the tour books. We made some new friends. If we ever come back to Kauai this is definitely where we will stay.

Beautiful home with lots of extras

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful home. The location was great, particularly because some of us were hiking the Na Pali Coast. The restaurant of the family visited the nearby beaches using the available beach chairs, umbrellas, body boards, etc or played board games and put together puzzles in the home while we were camping on the Kalalau Beach. After our hike, the home served as a perfect base of operations to explore the entire island.

I initially thought that we would eat out a lot more, but we only ended up eating out for 2 meals due to the great kitchen in the home. We grilled salmon and steaks using the grill and baked all sorts of great dishes using spices already in the home (we only had to buy a couple spices and then left them for others to enjoy).

There was an outdoor shower that everyone fought over after returning from the beach. What seemed like an endless supply of towels and a great washer and drier proved super convenient as well.

The neighbors were also very nice, but not overbearing. One gave us extra bananas they had just picked and another couple became quick friends with my parents, providing all sorts of tips on things to see and do on the island.

My kids LOVED the bike with an extension for another person to ride (essentially a 2-seat bike). We would wake up early and ride it to some of the nearby beaches and even to the grocery store once.

Overall - a fantastic place to stay on one of the most beautiful places in the world. Will definitely try to stay in this home next time we visit the island.
