The house was stunning! The outside looks like a typical Tahoe home, once you walk indoors the are so many directions to go and things to see. It is 5 bedrooms, downstairs has 1 queen bedroom, 1 daybed with a trundle bed to pull out (this room has a slide to the back patio). Upstairs has a master bedroom with 1 king bed, 2 of the other rooms both have a queen bed and a twin in it. The little game room upstairs has two twin mattresses stacked to use and some padding that can be used for sleeping. There is an upstairs large patio with charges. Upstairs has a full bath/shower/toilet bathroom, then a toilet room with a nearby vanity outside the door, then there is a single stand up shower. There is a washer and dryer upstairs.
Downstairs has a full bathroom. The living room has 3 nice couches and two seats (like recliners, but do not recline). There is a large kitchen table that can comfortably fit at least 10 people, maybe even more. The kitchen has nice granite counter tops, a flat surface stove. There are toasters, coffee maker, tons of dishes, cups, bowls, etc.
The pictures do not so this house justice! Everything is beautiful, the beds are soft and comfy! Pretty much all you need to being is your food/drinks, clothes, and your company...the house has the rest.
It is a few miles from the lake, and about 30 mins from the casinos. Great location! Quiet neighborhood. Loved every bit of our stay. Owners were pleasant to work with.
Only suggestion is to bring a fan if your stay in summer and prefer air movement. Will def stay again in the near future!
We rented this home for a ski week with a couple other families who came and went during the week. It really was perfect. Very easy and comfortable for 2 families to share. Our children loved the backyard woods & creek, and we all loved the convenience to Homewood. We got a ton of snow the day we left, and there was plenty of helpful information left by the owners to help us get our cars out. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you so much!
This is a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of the CA side of Lake Tahoe near the entrance to the Rubicon Trail. We were a group of 6 adults and 5 kids and never felt cramped at all. Plenty of space, hot water, bathrooms, etc. The owners responded quickly to questions and refunded our deposit in short order. Thank you for allowing us into your home!
Our family has rented this cabin seven times over the past 15 years, and, with the peaceful surroundings, it will always be the cabin of our choice. Actually, it is more of a house than a cabin. It has all the necessities to accomodate 12 people (we had 9 this time), although it would be best if at least two are children. The sinks in the two major bedrooms upstairs, along with the two showers upstairs, are a convenient aspect. The downstairs bathroom, with shower, is very accomodating for the two downstairs sleeping areas. The hot water was plentiful. The kitchen is compact and has all the standard equipment and utensiles that one needs. The dining table conveniently seats 10. The house is always cool in the hot summer, and the new living room furniture is very comfortable, with good TV. The internet connection was beneficial to keep up with some business requirements. Access to Chambers beach and Meeks Bay is very good, and a quick run to the Tahoma grocery store just a little over one mile away is very convenient. The new Weber BBQ is really nice. The double garage allows for parking the car out of the elements and provides for good security. All friends who visited us were very impressed with the cabin, and the cabin owner, Nancy, is very nice with which to do business.
The cabin was so peaceful and relaxing! The owner must have cleaned up the showers curtains because they were clean when we were there! We had hot showers too! The kitchen was complete with all kinds of gadgets and we appreciated that. Thank you!
Large comfortable bedrooms with 3 baths. One bath is subdivided into a separate sink, toilet and shower for multiple guests. Hot water heater doesn't keep up with the number of guests house will hold. Shower curtains very dirty.
Other Activities: shopping, boating, kayaking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, miniature golf
