Yet only minutes from there, you can find lakes and rivers to swim, boat or canoe on, or take your quads to the hundreds of miles of ATV trail that go through Jackson and Clark County. For those that enjoy winter sports, bring your snowmobiles or go down the road to Bruce Mound for sking and snow-tubing. Majestic Pines casino is nearby along with many other local attractions, fairs and restaurants.

About Jennifer Pulley

My husband and I, along with our friends and family, enjoy spending time in the Black River Falls area. It's everything you want in the 'northwoods!' Hunting, fishing, relaxing, great eating places, beautiful colors in the woods, and lot's of indoor or outdoor activities. We started working with an Amish group there a few years ago and started building log cabins together. We've begun to rent them out to others and enjoy sharing our knowledge of the area with the new comers! We tend to have lot's of repeat guests, because once you get a feel for the slower pace of the area, you'll want to come back!

Jennifer Pulley purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Jennifer Pulley chose Wisconsin

The family has been coming to the area for 50 years and this gave us a reason to keep coming. It's easy to get there, private, yet close to local fun.

Cabin in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was awesome. We were up north fat bike riding at Levis Mound( great place) The cabin is in a good location for that . The cabin it self was perfect, clean, and beds were nice , living area upstairs was nice and roomie. Nice kitchen for making breakfast. It was clod and snowy when we were there so couldn't do much outside but the view was great.

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write such a great message! The Levis Trow Mound is a fun year round place. I hope next time you'll get to enjoy the view off the back deck, it's spectacular. Thank you again!

Wisconsin cabin (Merrillan/Black River Falls)

  • 5 of 5

We chose this cabin for an extended family winter getaway, since it seems the only time we get together are the major holidays and those pass so quickly! My husband, sons and I, my parents ("Grandma & Grandpa"), and my sisters, their husbands, and their kids all got together for a weekend. During the day the guys took the kids snow-tubing at Bruce Mound (only 4 miles away) while the ladies spent some relaxing time together. Lots of shopping (crafts, antiques, etc.) nearby. At night after a big supper (we grilled out on the deck!) we played cards/board games. The open space of the great room was perfect; we had two game tables going at once! The biggest surprise was the in-floor heat. Very cozy! Lots of comfortable sleeping space and 2 1/2 baths. The decor is rustic and beautiful. The kitchen is wonderful, the views out the many windows and off the deck are gorgeous. The cabin is a great central location and easy to find. Very clean and well-maintained. Friendly service. We definitely will be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you for message! We like to think we have a very special spot in the heart of woods in Wisconsin and it's always good to hear that our guests feel the same. You cant beat the combo of log cabin, tree's and nice flowing stream, it makes it easy for us!

Great ATV weekend with friends

  • 5 of 5

Overall great spot for a get together with friends and 4 wheeling. The full size bunk beds were a bit of a challenge for adult couples but we still enjoyed most everything about this rustic cabin. Could have been more thoroughly cleaned. And add more hooks to walls and baths downstairs! We had lots of fun:)

Owner's Response: Always happy to hear that a fun weekend was had by all! We excited that we can now ride directly to the from the cabin to the trails this year. I'll pass on the message to our amazing caretakers to add more hooks to the bedrooms and bath, that is nice to have. Thank you!

Quiet get away.

  • 4 of 5

Rustic cabin in a quiet setting. We enjoyed the grill and fire pit. The mosquitoes were a bit pesky but with all the rain recently that was expected. We would stay again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the message! We all agree it's been a wet spring and the "skeeters" are plentiful, but it's made for some giant ferns and lush greenery as well! Hope you could come again, maybe in fall to see the colors! Jennifer

Cute little cabin. First floor done really well

  • 3 of 5

Nice cabin upstairs. Down stairs construction, not the best. Have to plug in jacuzzi tub with cord. Beds are really small. I slept in recliner. No access to main trails that I could find. Nice cabin overall, but overpriced for what it is. Have stayed in much nicer ones for less money.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying with us and I'm sorry it was not everything you had hoped for. I do state the beds are all full size and with the trails just opening up to the cabin, they have not yet done much signage.. I've been wanting to get a queen bed in there, so I think this will get me going to have the Amish build a new queen size bed frame and add an update! Thanks again!
