Unit 605 at The Inn at Crystal Beach is an upscale, luxurious 1640 sq ft 3 bdrm/2 bath condominium located on the 6th floor at The Inn at Crystal Beach. The Inn at Crystal Beach is a beautiful gulf front condominium complex on Scenic Highway 98 in Destin and is one of the closest beachfront condo complexes to the Midbay Bridge, the main access route from the Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS) and most travelers entering Destin.
Crystal Beach is one of the most desirable areas in all of Destin- it is one of the least crowded locations in Destin and provides ample room to quietly enjoy the Gulf, yet dining, water sports, outlet malls, golf, Publix, Walmart, Destin Commons Shopping Center, Bass Pro Shops, and AMC Movie Theaters (and coming soon a new Whole Foods) are all just a few minutes away. The Inn is one of the most sought after complexes because of its exclusivity and central location as well as all of the amenities that one would expect with a large complex, however with its smaller size at only 55 units, this allows for a less crowded beach and a more exclusive feeling. The Inn boasts amenities such as a 24 hr front desk, secured underground parking, Business Center, Fitness Center (with a great Gulf View!), a gulf-front swimming pool/ hot tub, BBQ grills, as well as an on site restaurant, 790 on the Gulf, which provides service to the beach as well as catering for private events such as weddings and parties, and some of the best Happy Hour specials in town.
Our 3 bedroom/ 3 bath 1640 sq ft unit can accommodate 8 comfortably and sleeps like a 4 bedroom unit. We have a King bed in the master bedroom, a King in the 2nd bedroom, a set of Twin beds in the 3rd bedroom, and a daybed/ trundle as another set of Twin beds in the den. Our condo is just to the left of the middle of the complex in the coveted 'center stack' which occupies the units that are situated further south, therefore providing larger units and larger L-shaped balconies with better views. A close proximity to the elevators means that you are just a few steps away from the sugar-white sand beach. By being situated further south, our unit is able to provide one of the most panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico that can found in this prestigious complex and perhaps all of Destin.
We are continually updating our condo with items to provide the most comfortable stay possible for our guests- most recently (June 2015) a new Air Conditioner and a Guardian Air Purification / Oxidation System was installed, enabling our condo to be a sanctuary of pure air. This system generates sanitizing hyper-peroxides which reduce levels of viruses, bacteria, mold, and odors- particularly beneficial for people prone to allergies.
Our brand new cabinets and Quartz countertops in our bathrooms as well as our current kitchen renovation is sure to impress guests who have an appreciation for the finer things in life (project completed March 2016, ready for the new season).
Unit 605 is furnished with high-end new appliances and comfortable furniture and pillow top beds. Light and brightly decorated, it is newly painted with neutral colors and evokes the feel of the islands through beach accents. It is appointed with features that rival any luxury penthouse-- high thread count linens, designer coverlets, thick designer towels, customized closets, and 2 king beds (vs queens) are just a few things that separate it from the rest. Large screen Samsung Smart TV 3D HDTVs (46 inch in living room, 40 inch in master bedroom) with a Blu-ray player and Wii gaming system, Cox Contour 2 Whole Home HD DVR System with preloaded movies as well as space to record your own shows, and the DVD players with a library of DVDs should keep the entire family entertained during the rainy non-beachy days. The unit has upgraded high speed wireless internet (100 mbps), expanded cable with Encore and Epix movie channels, HDTV/ DVD players in all rooms, cordless phones, and I-Home/ I-pod docking stations in all the bedrooms, all designed to make you feel welcome after a long day at the beach.
The living area has a sliding glass door that leads out to the large L-shaped balcony and the master bedroom does as well. The brand new leather sofa and 2 chairs provide a great area to gather around after a wonderful day at the beach.
The balcony has a dining table with 4 chairs, a chaise lounger, and 2 other chairs with a small table- just right for watching the beautiful water at sunset with your favorite beverage. In the closet on the balcony we keep a revolving inventory of rafts, boogie boards, chairs, and other beach toys as a convenience for our guests, and many of our repeat guests house beach items there so they are waiting for them when they return. A beach set-up with 2 chairs and an umbrella is included with the rental, however we often will have an extra chair or 2 in the closet- we just ask that they are returned to the closet at the end of the day and not left on the beach.
The full sized kitchen with new stainless steel appliances has everything you need for a short or long term stay. It is well stocked with utensils, appliances, and cookware, and a new washer and dryer. We keep the pantry and refrigerator well stocked with essential items as a convenience for our guests. Our dining area seats 8 comfortably at the table, and has 3 more bar-stools at the counter.
The master bedroom has a comfortable King-sized Pillow Top bed with a 40 inch Samsung 3D Smart TV/HDTV with extended cable and movie channels as well as a DVD player. You will have wonderful views to the east through the sliding glass door that leads to the balcony, and views of the gulf to the south through the windows. There is a customized walk-in closet with plenty of shelves and extra blankets/ pillows. The bathroom has ample light, mirrors, and counter space, with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, eye-makeup remover, etc left for our guests as a convenience, and a separate jetted Roman tub and shower.
The second bedroom has a comfortable King-sized Pillow Top bed with a 26 inch HDTV, cable with movie channels, a DVD player and plenty of shelves and pillows/ blankets in the customized closet. The 3rd bedroom has a set of Twin beds with designer coverlets and a customized closet as well as a HDTV with a DVD player. The den is like a private alcove - the daybed and trundle are the perfect place to unwind watching a movie at night after a full day of fun in the sun.

Speaking with one over the phone ensures legitimacy of both guests and owners more than email alone. Since 2006, we have been fortunate to have acquired a loyal following of fantastic repeat guests, and this has resulted in our having the highest occupancy rate of any 3 bedroom unit at The Inn - we hope that one day you will be a repeat guest too! I personally inspect the unit on turnover days to ensure that our previous guests have taken good care of our place, and to make sure that housekeeping has done a perfect job for our future guests, as well as to change out/ upgrade the paper products left by them. We value our guests and want to not only meet their expectations, but to exceed them!
The Inn at Crystal Beach charges a one time $50 booking fee plus $15/nt amenities fee plus 11% tax upon check-in, payable via Cash or Check Only (this works out to be $172.05 for a one week stay). OUR RENTAL RATE INCLUDES 11% TAX AND A $138.75 HOUSEKEEPING FEE FOR STAYS OF 4 NIGHTS OR MORE, AND IT INCLUDES A BEACH SETUP FROM MAR 1- OCT 31. Our minimum age is 25 and is therefore unsuitable for college 'spring breakers.' No pets allowed (HOA policy), no smoking allowed. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am.
We have been coming to Destin, Florida since the 1970s and we have always enjoyed the sugar white beaches and sparkling emerald green waters that make Destin so special. In 2003, we made a deliberate decision to relocate, making Destin our home. Subsequently, we purchased a condominium at The Inn at Crystal Beach.

This gulf-front property is one of the most sought after condo complexes in Destin, as it is conveniently located to everything Destin has to offer. Shopping, dining, water sports, water parks, outlet malls, sports facilities, golf and tennis are all just a few minutes away.

We really enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is not only convenient but really has awesome food and we know about food being from New Orleans ! We would definitely stay again next year. We were not disappointed when we entered this lovely, spacious condo! Can't say enough positive things about it and Diane, the owner. She took great care of us and provided extras we weren't expecting. During the planning and while we were there she was prompt in answering questions and providing info we wanted about the condo and the Destin area. We were s group of kiddos, kids and grandparents. This condo more than met our varied needs. We'd return in a heartbeat! Thanks for sharing your vacation home with us, Diane!
As a second time visitor to this property. I'm not sure there's a better spot on the beach in Destin in this price range for a family of 5 plus a pair of grandparents. It has plenty of room for everyone, a fantastic and large balcony, beautiful beach and a nice pool area. Seems like this is a more peaceful end of the beach - yet you are located only blocks away from shopping, restaurants, and everything else there is to do in Destin. Can't wait to come back soon!!!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Unit 605 at The Inn at Crystal Beach. The unit was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Having the restaurant downstairs was an added bonus. The owner was no nice to deal with and made sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental.
Located in Crystal Beach, The Inn at Crystal Beach is the closest gulf-front condo complex to the Mid-Bay Bridge and Destin Commons, an outdoor shopping center with many restaurants and a 17 screen Rave Motion Picture theater with IMAX. Crystal Beach is a quiet area that does not have as much traffic as HWY 98 in main Destin, but is close to the best that Destin has to offer. Your teenagers can walk to Destin Commons and the Shoppes at Paradise Isle, another shopping center which includes Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Sonic, Johnnny O'Quigley's and stores such as Best Buy, Office Depot, PetSmart, and Big Lots. Crystal Beach Plaza also closeby has an Outback and Chili's as well as many stores such as Barnes & Noble and others. Publix is less than a mile away and SuperWalmart is just a few miles away. If you enjoy golfing, Regatta Bay is less than a couple of miles away.

We require one week minimum Saturday-Saturday stays during our peak times but we do make exceptions occasionally for our repeat guests and for stays greater than one week (as long as either the arrival or departure day is a Saturday). We also make exceptions for our minimum stay/arrival/departure days when filling in a gap of potentially un-booked days that is sometimes created by stays longer than one week-- understandably, we generally don't make exceptions if the booking will create a gap of potentially un-booked days, such as Mon-Mon, Tu-Tu, Wed-Wed, Th-Th stays, etc.
