The Collegiate Church is the Cathedral of San Gimignano and contains precious frescoes and artwork by Ghirlandaio and the Florentine school. The Town Hall houses inside the Hall of Dante who in 1300 was in San Gimignano in Tuscany as Ambassador of the League. A visit to the Archaeological Museum which houses Etruscan, Roman and Medieval recovered from excavations in the municipality.
In the Museum and Art Gallery, however, there are works by important and famous artists such as Pinturicchio.
Definately worth a visit even the Pharmacy of San Gimignano, which reproduces the old pharmacy with original objects of Pharmacy of the Hospital of Santa Fina.
Finally, San Gimignano also offers visitors a Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art.
This medieval town is notoriously famous for its Vernaccia, a prized white wine, very pleasant to be enjoyed in front of a poignant Tuscan sunset from one of the many wineries or wine bars in the city.
