Titika is located on the first floor of the main building, it was the old bedroom of our grandmother and this is why it is named after her. It is a 50 square meters apartment consisted of tree basic rooms.

In the first room, there are the kitchen and the living room with the sofa bed and the dining table for six persons, while in the second, there is the first bedroom with 2 iron made single beds, and one bathroom. In the third room there is the second bedroom with the big double, iron made bed. In the apartment there is an extra bathroom.

On the 63 square meters veranda there are sun beds, and a dining table for six persons, to enjoy your meals with the view of the pool.

Titika can host up to 5 guests.

About Areti Georgila

I'm a 38 years old mother of two little monsters. Metohi Georgila it was my great grandfather's home. I grow up in Athens as an only child and I used to visit this home every June with my parents to spend some time with the grandparents. I studied Marketing and I mostly worked in restaurant businesses. At 2004 I decided to leave Athens and move here in Crete. With my parents' precious help we renovated the place and we transformed it to a traditional complex of 6 houses. Since 2007 we operate this family business with love and good care for our guests.

It is one year since my husband and I and 3 daughters and niece stayed with Areti at Metohi Georgila in theTitika apartment, which was beautifully appointed. This is not just accomodation but a home filled with true hospitality and a wonderful history. Our stay here will remain in our hearts and we will not forget the special time spent here. We had lovely treats left in our room when we returned from site seeing which we enjoyed. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare lovely meals using fresh ingredients bought from the markets in Chania. Facilities, including a beautiful pool, are top class matched with Greek hospitality. Will certainly return to Metohi Georgila if we visit Crete again. A must to stay here!

Totally recommendable - clean and spacious appartment, wonderful pool, big space for children playing and very helpful and nice owners. For those who are loooking for a quiet, comfortable holiday and a hotel with this special private touch - here it is!

Metohi Georgla is located 16 klm west of the city of Chania, 4,5 klm from the touristic village of Platanias, 1,5 klm from historical Maleme, 23 klm from the port of Souda and 33 klm from Chania airport.

The bus station is 1400 m. away from Metohi Georgila and it is a very pleasant walk throughout the village.

For food, shopping and night life, there are plenty of options in Platanias and in the city of Chania. Not far away from Metohi, at Maleme and Gerani, you can find Pharmacy, Super Markets and gas stations.

Beside the beach of our village, in which you can walk your way in 10’, you can drive 5’ – 10’ to reach the famous and crowded beaches of Platanias, Agia Marina and Stalos or the quiet beaches of Maleme, Tavronitis and Kolymvari.

A little bit further, at the west coast, the beaches are truly amazing. Falasarna were voted in 2002 as the most beautiful beach of Greece. The view to the beach of Balos is stunning. Another amazing beach is the one at Elafonisi with the unique pink and white sand.

In the south coast you can find the superb and famous beaches of Sougia, Paliohora, Sfakia and Agia Roumeli as well as the magical Kedrodasos, located west of Elafonisi.

Sightseeing

The old town of Chania is a ...museum, built on the ruins of ancient Kydonia. Historical artifacts of the city, date from the 2nd an 3rd millennium B.C. All the other part of the city is a clear influence of all the nations that passed throughout time. You can see Roman, Byzantine, Arabic, Venetian and Turkish monuments. There are also interesting museums, temples and other sights to see, for which we will be able to inform you, if you want to visit them.
