Beautifully renovated and decorated stone cottage, located in a quiet side street , a very short walk to the port of Dinan.
Sleeping up to five comfortably, the cottage is in a quiet part of the port area of Dinan with a private enclosed garden. Just a few steps away is the old port area where you can find a number of good restaurants cafés and a good bakery.
The historic centre of medieval Dinan is also close by , and a short car drive, (about 30 minutes) ,brings you to the glorious sandy beaches of the North coast and a string of coastal villages and towns.
Entering the house is a kitchen and dining area with dining table and chairs. The living area leads off from the kitchen , and is spacious, with two sofas, an armchair , wood burning stove and satellite TV. At the end of this room, is a ground floor bedroom with a single bed and an ensuite shower room with WC.
A short flight of stairs leads from the living room to the first floor. Here there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed, the second with two singles. A bathroom and WC are also on this floor. From the second bedroom, a door gives direct access to the pretty garden.
The large back garden is a lovely feature of the cottage, situated at the rear of the property with good views towards medieval Dinan.
Garden furniture and a barbecue are available in the summer, and at the end of the garden is a further wooded area to explore.
You can park for free on the street just outside the house.

Cozy cottage across the River Rance
This was a very comfortable cottage on the Lanvalee side of the Port of Dinan. Very quiet and quaint with a beautiful outdoor area. Just a short walk across the old stone bridge into Dinan. Only negative, and very slight at that, was that the bathrooms were small, however we got used to that quickly. We would stay here again.
Fantastic historical holiday
Everything was great....location, near port, nice restaurants, 5 min. Drive from beautiful historical city of Dinan.
We were welcomed by Mr. Stark who made it clear that he was always available for anything we needed.
The accommodation was everything that was sold to us and more.
Thank you for a wonderful 2 weeks vacation.
Ideally located cottage to explore the region
We really enjoyed our stay. Easy to park, near a bakery, a short walk to both the port and the centre of Dinan with plenty of restaurants.
All major attraction points (St-Malo, Mont St-Michel, sentier des douaniers,...) are less than an hourfrom the location.
We are family with three kids: the cottage is definetely big enough & the garden is a nice extra.
We booked with linen and towels and were very happy with the service provided. All the basic necessities (toilet paper, pepper & salt,...) were all available.
On the downside: more cuttlery, plates and glasses would be handy. It is relatively dark inside the cottage and the bathrooms are relatively small. But that is inherent to the style of the house. Please not that the single bedroom on the ground floor doesn't have a door but curtain to seperate it from the living room. Our 11 yr old daughter didn't mind, but we kept quiet after she went to bed.
Make short to ask for instructions on how to get there, as the traffic situation has changed recently. We did ask and found them very clear.
We definitely recommend it!
