This is a very comfortable home for 2- 10 people, both inside and out. There is plenty of room for everybody! The 35’ long front porch has cushioned wrought iron seating for at least 8. Vintage wicker and bamboo shades outfit the side screen porch along with a dining table that seats at least 6. French doors in the living room lead to a bluestone patio where you could set the table for an alfresco lunch for 6. A Weber gas grill is easy to light at the push of a button. A small water feature rounds out this “room”. Local telephone service is included. Wireless broadband included. All utilities included except long distance telephone. Housekeeping service included once a week for month long rentals

Truly Elegance & Comfort

  • 5 of 5

The home is exquisitely furnished and meticulously maintained. The attention to details is true elegance, spacious, clean and comfortable. The charm of the historical home is evident in all the rooms, and furnishings, creating the warmth of a by-gone era. Unfortunately with the current trend of open concept, formal homes like these are quickly disappearing.

I truly enjoyed the warmth of the enclosed side porch in February! It was so wonderful having coffee out there in the late mornings, working on my laptop. Carol, who lives up the block is truly, wonderful. I forgot my external mouse for my laptop, and could have functioned without it, but it would have taken me 5 times the time needed to complete the project, I had to turn in. So when I called her to ask where I could possibly buy one, she brought hers over to me for the day, such generosity.

We were a group of 3 families, up for skiing, never felt cramped. With 6 teenagers, it was nice having separate rooms for each group. The white linens and towels were all truly appreciated and luxurious. I would definitely rent again, if available.

Great classic Lenox home for large gathering

  • 5 of 5

Village View is a warm and cozy home with several living spaces, giving plenty of elbow room for large families or gatherings. My first impression was that the photos did not do the home justice. There is a warmth to this house that just can't be captured by camera. All the bedrooms were nicely decorated. The house furnishings were lovely and tasteful. Carol, the owner, was very accommodating and eager to offer quick response to our questions or needs. We had a quintessential Lenox New Years weekend with fireplaces burning and pristine snowfall. You will love this house!

Girls Weekend Extraordinaire!

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful and every room is spotlessly clean! The large kitchen has plenty of dishes, silverware, serving ware, serving plates etc. The appliances are top shelf, large and in perfect working order. The center island accommodates at least 6 comfortably for informal breakfasts/and happy hours! Beautiful large dining room with seating for 8 and three large 'parlors' on the first floor. Enough room to stretch out, and enough to enjoy conversation with group. Also, lovely window seats beside the fireplace to curl up with a good book was a pleasant surprise. We were fortunate to have some warm April sunshine and took advantage of the homes porches perfectly appointed with comfy wicker furniture. The spacious bedrooms and baths round out this property. Although I rented for a girls weekend, I could see a family or multi family enjoying this property it is so accommodating. The location to town is perfect - we walked in and out of town several times during our stay. Carol is wonderful. She responded immediately to my initial request for information, then sent the contract, confirmation of paid receipt. She was so thoughtful to send wonderful restaurant recommendations. Although we did not need to contact Carol during our stay, she lives a stones throw from the property which was comforting just in case we needed her. The home is about a mile from Tanglewood. We drove there and walked the property - beautiful and so convenient!! I would recommend this home without reservation.

Stunning and comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

This property is very special. Each room is tastefully furnished with beautifully upholstered furniture, custom draperies and antiques, but is also comfortable and inviting. Three living areas, a comfortable kitchen, and four large bedrooms plus a smaller one, round out the house. It was very comfortable for our large group which included five couples and two newborns. People could gather in the large living room for games and family time, or use the smaller rooms for quiet conversation. Carol is right next door for any questions, but she also respects your privacy. The house is walking distance from downtown Lenox, which is charming. We highly recommend this home.

Amazing house for the perfect fall getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We were fortunate enough to stay at Village View over Columbus Day weekend. There were several adults and a few small children in our group and this beautiful home accommodated all of us comfortably. There's a grassy area outside that was perfect for letting the little ones run around and the downtown area is close enough for a nice walk. Everything was clean when we arrived Carol was a delight to work with. I would highly recommend this house, although I'm reluctant to because I don't want it to be booked the next time I want to visit the Berkshires!
