Gracious home in Lenox, MA

  • 5 of 5

Carol's home is everything she says -- beautiful, spacious, fully equipped, within short walking distance to Lenox center and only 5 minute drive from Tanglewood. It was a pleasure to stay here with our 3 sons, daughter-in-law ad 2 small grandsons. We could have fit more! I would recommend it to anyone who needs the space for a large group.

Heaven in the Berkshires

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 5 friends knew even before we arrived at this beautiful house that we would be happy. The reason is that Carol is the best of owners - responsive, enthusiastic, warm, flexible... surely a 6th friend for this 4 day trip. But our arrival was even more than "happy"... almost magical. As we turned in the driveway and looked up, we were greeted by the elegant facade, the windows, the gardens, and the welcoming porch - encouraging us to come in and make ourselves at home.

The inside is the same - beautifully designed and decorated, meeting all our needs. Five comfortable bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms with lots of hot water, several gathering areas with furniture that begs conversation, a well-stocked kitchen, glassed-in porch, and the perfect seating arrangement for front-porch hanging out.

Each day we did something special in the Berkshires, visiting Edith Wharton's The Mount, the Norman Rockwell Museum, a trip to collegiate Williamstown and the Clark Institute art gem, hiking Mt. Graylock, and the wild adventure of MassMOCA in North Adams. But truly the highlight was turning the car home, stopping at Guido's for groceries, arriving at our perfect house - including occasional glimpses of Carol with her suggestions of how to enjoy our stay, and easy walking into Lenox for dinner. One Lenox delight among many - the Bookstore, with adjoining wine bar called Get Lit!

Whether you are a family or a group of friends, look no farther if you want an in-town Berkshire experience in a comfortable, cheerful, welcoming environment. We friends have enjoyed 22 years of sharing time together and thanks to Carol and Village View, this one is right up at the top!

Great, spacious place.

  • 5 of 5

This is an excellent place. There are several nice rooms downstairs as well as sitting areas outside; my friend counted over 50 seats! The bedrooms were comfortable. The location is very convenient. Carol was also friendly and helpful. The only minor issue is that there's just one bathroom upstairs, besides the master bathroom. Despite that, I'd certainly enjoy staying here again!

Beautiful Home, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends rented this house for a graduate school reunion and friend's wedding. The home is gorgeous and a five minute walk from downtown Lenox, full of great cafes, art galleries and shops. Carl is a great host - quick to respond to any inquiries about the properties and eager to provide local's advice for must-do things in the Berkshires!

Lovely and comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

Carol is a gracious host and this is reflected in her comfortable and beautiful home. We stayed as a family group of 8, ages 10 to 74, and everyone enjoyed their stay. The property is quiet, with nice grounds. Everything we used in the house worked well, although we didn't use the washer/dryer, the Jacuzzi or the grill. The location is ideal for exploring The Berkshires and strolling around Lenox. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk to dinner at the many good restaurants in Lenox.

Casually Elegant Accommodations - Genuine Hospitatlity

  • 5 of 5

Celebrating with friends and family a 50th birthday. There were six of us.

Yes, I think 'casual elegance' are the words! The accommodations are even more welcoming than the pictures suggest. Clean and comfortable through and through! Well-furnished, crisp and contemporary linens, a wonderful design aesthetic in well-maintained classic-style home.

And Carol? She is a gem. Quintessential hostess! I see her touch in tending to little details - like stacks of fresh towels, wood and kindling waiting to be lit in the fireplace, rolled napkins with napkin rings prepared for guests, and lots of strategic piles of classic reading materials, to name a few.

Location provides opportunity for nice walks, ability to explore quaint town on foot. Other iconic Berkshire destinations just short drive away - .

In conclusion, highly recommend you book. I encourage you to honor the space and proprietor's hospitality for the length of your stay. Namaste.
