The weather was perfect! Cool nights & warm days! Our favorite adventures during our stay were seeing the beaver in the early morning by the lakeside; catching lots of fish; kayaking; roasting marshmallows on the camp fire at night; swimming and of course just relaxing in the swing on the porch! The location is great; walking distance to town. With all the fun things to do right here at the cottage and the bay, we didn't have to leave! We'd love to return again!

The weather was fantastic! Sunny and warm for all but two of our days. Our favorite adventures during our stay were our daily walks into town and the walking trail around the bay. The outdoor shower - absolutely wonderful!! We even checked out the Hospital Aid Fair on Saturday. Several of us also drove to Lincoln NH for the Alpine Sip Line adventure - great fun! Oh, and not to forget the round of golf at Kingswood golf course down the street. We enjoyed eating at the Wolfetrap after reading all the positive reviews from other guests in the cottage guest book. We really had a great week - and particularly enjoyed the KUBB game we found on the porch. Great for fun in the afternoon after a swim. Albee Beach on Lake Wentworth was another great excursion - especially for the children!

About Dee & Jason Truluck-Williams

We fell in love with Lake Winnipesaukee during our first trip many years ago! Each year we would rent a home on the lake and our two boys enjoyed all their childhoods summers there. In 2007 while docking in Wolfeboro for an ice cream, a 'For Sale' sign caught our interest and we were sold! We spent 3 years making it feel like home and now enjoy sharing the dreamy summer days and nights with our guests! So many memories, come make some of your own!

Dee & Jason Truluck-Williams purchased this cottage in 2007

Why Dee & Jason Truluck-Williams chose Wolfeboro

Cute, waterfront, private and 5 minutes walk to the town center! What could be more perfect, no car required! Canoe to the public dock, tie up and go crocery shopping! What could be more fun! Maybe getting an ice cream instead!!!

What makes this cottage unique

Swinging in the hammock or the sky-chair, watching and listening to friends and family laughing and joking around the campfire! Nothing better!

Perfect for our new family

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip with our daughter who just turned 3 months old. The house had absolutely everything we needed and so much more! The house made traveling with a new baby a breeze and there was plenty for us to do. We walked to main street every day with the stroller, took a ferry ride, rented a boat for the day and also took our dog to the rail trail. The house is situated perfectly for all the activities you could want. We slept great and cooked almost every night. Just a great experience that I will treasure!

The house was lovely, decorated very nicely with every amenity you would need. The lake view is peaceful and beautiful. So close to town yet so private. I highly recommend.

A perfect week

  • 5 of 5

Great weather, great cottage and a town full of nice people; what more could you want?

We were lucky with the weather, and spent most of the time outside. The cottage position and layout works perfectly. A spacious deck, facing south but with shaded edges, with the grass leading down to the view of Back Bay, and the dock to the property. We loved using the kayaks and the pedal boat. Thanks to Jason and Dee for the boat trip in their power boat, it just added that bit extra.

Comfortable beds and a decently equipped kitchen made the time we spent inside work fine. The upstairs bathroom is shared access between the two upstairs bedrooms, but this was clear from the website before we booked. There is also an outdoor shower which was a real pleasure to use when the sun is shining [ and someone else is preparing breakfast]

Its an easy walk into town, especially if you find the way along the waterside via the restaurant, the wooden footbridge and the wooden boardwalk by the Bayview Grille. Once there, we recommend morning coffee and crepes at the 'Seven Suns' [ open 7 to 7] , evening ice cream at Baileys Bubble. The townsfolk were really friendly as we mingled with them in both these places, and elsewhere. we think we really struck lucky by coming to Wolfeboro.

Theres a good bread shop in walking distance, and Hunters Supermarket in town for everything else.

It was bike week in Laconia, [ June 12 to 19], don't be put off, pretty well all the riders we met were grandparents like us and friendly types too.

Thanks Dee and Jason, we had a great time.

Very Nice!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed during the fall foliage and had a wonderful visit. Heater worked great. The house is nice with a living room view of the backyard and lake. Short walk to town. Some eateries were closed for the season but we found others that were open and excellent. A nice place to be. Incidentally we caught a fantastic sunny and clear weather day for the Cog Railway ride to the top of Mt. Washington. 120 mile visibility at the summit. The ride through the mountains was beautiful.
