Catskills House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Come enjoy a relaxing time in our cozy renovated country farmhouse located in the beautiful rolling hills of the northern Catskills. We're only about 3 1/2 hours from New York City, but are truly a world away!

For your group of six or less, our house has three bedrooms, 1 full bath and 1 half bath with a fully equipped kitchen featuring both a modern gas stove and a 1926 Glenwood cookstove. There's a dining room for evening meals and a cozy table by the wood stove in the kitchen. This is a house where you can put up your feet and just relax!

You'll find that our house is the perfect location for exploring the outdoors...whether by a walk or a bike ride on the Catskill Scenic Trail, a day trip to Cooperstown, or a night-time bonfire in the fire pit on the hill above the house. Or maybe you're just looking to relax? Settle in with a good book you picked out at one of the local used bookstores or watch that movie you been saving for a quiet day. So...lots to do if you want to....but only if you want to!

We Loved our stay!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful relaxing house. We have rented many houses in Catskills and this one is by far our favorite. Antique stove was a great bonus. It kept the house very cozy. We'll definately be back.

Catskill Wedding Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at the Rich Country Farmhouse to attend my niece's wedding in Roxbury. We made it a long weekend to include a day trip to Cooperstown, Ommegang Brewery, the Maple Mountain store, a long walk along the Catskill Scenic Trail, dinner at the famous Brook's Barbecue, and, since we're avid readers, the wonderful bookstores in Hobart! However, my favorite part of the trip was the house itself! After a busy day driving everywhere, I loved coming "home" to the Farmhouse. The pictures don't do it justice! It was pretty and inviting, with plenty of room to move about and kick back and relax. I like sitting on the porch and reading! Barbara was sweet and helpful and greeted us with fresh bread and homemade jam! Her parents also stopped by to say hello and they gave us tips about the maple syrup farm and the barbecue restaurant! Everyone was so nice. When we go back, the Farmhouse will be the only place we stay!

A lovely weekend in a lovely farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay the the Cozy Country Farmhouse! Beautiful scenery, fresh eggs, lots of interesting places to explore, hike, and bike! Barbara was so generous with information about the area, and provided lots of reading material at the house for further exploration. This was our first visit to the Catskills and we hope to go back soon!

Beautiful house in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We booked this great home for a quick weekend getaway with our toddler son and dogs. Barbara, the owner, was wonderful to work with and very quick to reply. They provide you with all the information you need about the surrounding areas including where to eat and places to shop. The house felt very welcoming as soon as we walked in. It is really well maintained and very clean and cozy. It's conveniently located right on the trail which made it very easy for us to take our dogs out. All in all, it was the perfect place to get away for some peace and relaxation. We only visited for a short time, but will definitely be returning for longer. Thank you, Barbara!

Wonderful Escape

  • 5 of 5

This was such a great escape. The house was warm and cozy and had everything that we needed. We cooked a few meals in - ate a few out. We loved being able to take a walk on the trail just behind the house. My husband and I (in our 40's) took my parents (in their 60's) and the house was just perfect for us. We were able to spend time together but never felt like we were on top of each other. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. A day to trip Brewery Ommegang and the Baseball Hall of Fame was easy enough that we left mid-morning and back just about dark. The family was easily accessible and very helpful when we had questions but there was so much space that it never felt encroaching or intrusive. We hadn't planned on returning to the area but it's now on the list as potential future visits.
