About Harbor Springs (from the Chamber of Commerce) :Enjoy the unique charm offered by a vacation in beautiful Harbor Springs, Michigan. Nestled along the deepest harbor in the Great Lakes, lies the charming waterfront community of Harbor Springs, Michigan. Harbor Springs has been a bustling tourist destination since before the turn of the century, it offers an abundance of natural beauty and four seasons of outdoor activities. You will enjoy an array of cultural and culinary attractions that continually delight visitors as well as provide an uncomplicated tranquility to residents. Stroll the quiet sidewalk lined streets and take in an abundance of turn of the century Victorian homes, walk into town to enjoy the one-of-a-kind stores and restaurants, enjoy a swim in the cool clean waters of Lake Michigan, or take a bike ride through the tunnel of trees.

PRICING: The pricing section of this website is a bit confusing, so let me explain. I have had to raise my prices because Home away not steals almost 10 percent off the top of my rent. Not to mention that they also charge you. Such a rip off! I rent only by the week in the summers - June 15 to Labor Day . There is a premium added for July 4th, Regatta Week, Memorial Day and Labor Day. The weeks from December 20 to Jan 6 are also premium weeks. Off season I rent by the week or weekend with a two day minimum. The monthly rate is only offered for longer term off season rentals. Ski Season: I offer the full season at a very very good rate and I can explain this in more detail at your request. I do not use the online payment system with VRBO or Homeaway because they charge YOU (the renter) an extra $300+ that I would rather see you use for a good meal! Feel free to call me at 804.241.5661

About Robin Pearsall

I live in Richmond, Virginia but have been summering in Harbor Springs for all of my 55 years!

Robin Pearsall purchased this house in 2004

Why Robin Pearsall chose Northern Michigan

This is positively the best location! My children could walk or ride their bikes to town, walk to the beach, swimming, sailing school, tennis, etc. The porch 'makes' this house!

What makes this house unique

Hands down it is the location and the wrap around porch!

Good for skiing with family

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here last week. Owner was very accomodating for our last minute request (one day notice!) and got the house ready for us. The kids liked the room with the bunks - they all stayed in there and had a slumber party. It is a short walk to town and the kids liked the big Christmas tree in town. Master bedroom really is small, but we only slept in there so it didn't matter. Loved that mattress in the master bedroom! I would recommend this house for families or even a weekend trip for a couple.

It was a great place in a great place

  • 4 of 5

The location was great and I loved the Porch. The rooms were good size for our family. The home, while a little dated, had everything we needed for cooking, towels and toiletries, etc. I appreciated the use of the bikes and the grill, comforts of home.

Our family had a very nice stay and will be back.

Our 3rd Visit

  • 5 of 5

We have visited this house 5 times now and it really feels like home. This was our first time coming in the winter. Robin always responds quickly and works with us on scheduling - in this case, it was too cold to ski on the weekend we had booked and she let us move our reservations to another weekend. She gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The house is always neat and clean with the walkways and parking spaces were cleared of snow when we arrived. She treats us like family and that keeps us coming back!

It was perfect for us.

  • 5 of 5

It was a great house. We were in town for a wedding. It was convenient to everything. There were 6 of us staying and it worked really well - my parents stayed in the 1st floor bedroom and the children stayed on the 2nd floor with us. It was close to the church and town. We liked that we could walk into town and did not feel stuck at the house.

You wont be disappointed

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I chose this house based on the suggestion of a friend who had also rented this house in the past. They told us to expect a very accommodating home that was convenient, comfortable and charming. I'm happy to report that all of that was true and more. The more was that we really enjoyed meeting the neighbors and being able to read the paper and drink our morning coffee on the porch. I highly recommend renting this place if you have a trip planned to Harbor Springs. We waited too long and found that she was booked for most of the summer already,

You won't be disappointed

Great time in Harbor Springs

  • 5 of 5

The home owner was very helpful as we planned a last minute visit. She gave us good tips on the area and local shops. The house was very clean and laid out well for us and our kids. We really enjoyed sitting on the large porch at night and having a bottle of wine. We would rent this home again.
