CASA MIGUELITO
Casa Miguelito is one of only fourteen homes in the beautiful, gated Cruz de San Jose Town Home complex. Nestled into the hills of Los Balcones, only two blocks from the historic district, this complex is private and quiet, yet conveniently located. A ten minute walk will take you to the market, restaurants, shops and the city center. The lush gardens, pool and heated spa are beautifully maintained.
This lovely and colorful home has 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, four terraces, four fireplaces and an eclectic mix of furnishings from all over the world. Original artwork, Persian rugs, and hand crafted furniture and accessories all blend to make Casa Miguelito fun, comfortable and a welcoming retreat after a day of adventure in San Miguel.
The living and dining room on the first floor are next to the fully equipped kitchen. The charming, cozy living room has a cantera stone fireplace and a terrace, which overlooks the pool and gardens. This is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon margaritas. The powder room and queen guest bedroom with private bath and terrace are also on the first floor.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a brick boveda ceiling, fireplace, private bathroom and large terrace with views of the pool area, city lights and fireworks at night. The second guest bedroom is also upstairs with a king size bed, 2 fireplaces, private bathroom and terrace with views of the city and the Parroquia.
You will love your stay at Casa Miguelito. Vicky comes to clean and cook breakfast for you 3 days a week. There is a night watchman, Francisco, on duty every night from 7 pm until 7 am and an on site manager, Maribel, 5 days a week. You will also enjoy luxurious bed linens, fresh flowers, purified water in the kitchen, cable television, CD player, wireless internet service and telephone.

Michael is an architect and Deborah is a designer. We have an architectural firm, Seaver Franks Architects, and a custom home building company, La Quinta Building Company, in Tucson, Arizona. In 2003 we visited San Miguel for the first time and fell in love with the city.
Deborah Franks purchased this townhome in 2007
We rented this property in the summer of 2005 when our daughter studied drawing, painting and Spanish at the Instituto de Allende. We couldn't quit thinking about how much we loved the safe, gated community, the beautiful gardens, and the quiet location.
After we purchased this town home, we had so much fun painting, adding tile from Dolores Hidalgo, refurnishing and decorating. Our daughter helped and also made the artwork in the living room.
Maribel is the property manager for the complex. She speaks great English and is very knowledgeable about things to do in San Miguel. Francisco is the night watchman and is always ready to help. Vicky, the housekeeper, is a lovely woman and a great cook. Please tip Vicky at the end of your stay. We are all so fortunate to know these wonderful people!
