Fairhaven-a place to reenergize! You've thought of everything to make this a wonderful cozy and beautiful place to be. We enjoyed adventure. We felt safe and at home.
We immediately fell in love with the character exhibited throughout this cabin. Everywhere you turned there was a new detail to admire. Charming only begins to describe this very private, clean and adorable cabin. In addition to all of the amazing details, we enjoy the hot tub, the large comfy bed, tons of movies, well equipped kitchen, outdoor fire pits and our daughter loved the loft. The road to the cabin was just regraded while there and my Ford focus went up with ease. Just bring food and your all set. Enjoy!
Nice cabin with all the needed comforts and wooded scenery. Saw a deer in the woods one morning. Enjoyed nearby Blue Ridge with lots of stores and a scenic railroad. Lots of places to dine at also. A little difficult to get up the road in a car, but we made it okay.
The cabin is small but big enough for us, 2 adults and a medium size dog.We like the location, not far from down town Blueridge and hiking trails. The back yard view is very pretty and the cabin is very clean. But we think that some of the furnitures needs updating. The sofa isn't very comfy and the bed is sagging in the middle. We did not get a single good night sleep and the TV is very old.
My husband and I had the most wonderful time at Fairhaven recently. We love, love love this place. It is quiet and beautiful. We loved spending time on the back porch talking about old times and our future. The weather was beautiful including the one morning we got about 3 hours of rain. We checked in and did not leave until it was time to go home. Love the outdoor fireplace and the hot tub is amazing (just what we needed). The beauty of the trees and the privacy you have at Farihaven is just what we were craving. Our souls needed this trip and was everything to us. We look forward to going back. It was just a great time. Thank you to Shelia and her husband for sharing their slice of heaven with everyone else. Oh one more thing ~ if I could change anything about our experience I wish we would of stayed longer, lol. Thanks again and God bless ~
For my small family(wife, kids and I) stayed her and loved it! Place has everything you need(not consumables) from the bathroom to the kitchen. Kids love the loft room 5" ceiling. Looks like a room designed just for them. Loved that it's stocked with all the old VHS that I watched as a kid. Cute little place. Hope to come back. Perfect for the small family. Btw one of the only mountain houses with a yard to play catch!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this cabin for our 2 year anniversary. It was a very relaxing stay, and we were even allowed to bring our dog. He enjoyed the back yard and even made some friends with the neighbor's dog. The cabin is close to Lake Blue Ridge and Aska trails for your outdoor adventures. It's also close to town if you need to do some shopping or want to grab some food.
The cabin was very comfortable and secluded for a peaceful stay. I can't wait to visit again!
Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Drive In Theater, on-site child's hiking trail on 1.5 acres, community hiking trail. Access to trout stream which is located within 10-15 minutes from cabin, please ask about details on this activity.
