Our condo is in a prime location in Kamaole Sands. It is located on the fourth (top) floor in building 7(unit 401) and is an end unit which allows for an extra window in the living room permitting more light/breezes into the unit. Being on the top floor we only have 'neighbors' on one side.
The condo overlooks the central garden area complete with colorful fountains and has a partial ocean view from the large lanai. You can see the West Maui mountains in the distance.
Building number 7 is far enough from the road and the pool area so that you will not be troubled by noise. BBQs are located in the garden area below.
The condo feels very spacious (almost 1200 sq ft plus large lanai) and the kitchen is fully equipped (auto ice maker in fridge). A spiral staircase takes you to the upstairs loft which has a king bed and separate full bathroom. There is a separate bedroom on the main floor(queen bed) with another full bathroom. The sofa in the living room is a pull out bed. There is a stackable washer/dryer on the main floor. We have completely renovated the condo including: replacement of all flooring with ceramic tile, new paint throughout, new kitchen cabinets and appliances, new furniture, complete bathroom reno replacing both bathtubs with walk in showers, new art, etc.
Kamaole Sands has a beautiful pool/exercise/hot tub area and is located across the road from lifeguarded Kamaole 3 beach. There are four tennis courts available to guests. We are within easy walking distance to stores and restaurants. Walking north along the beach will take you to Kamaole 2 and 1 beaches. Walking south takes you to Keawakapu beach (one of the best beaches on Maui with 2 great beachfront restaurants) which connects to the seawalk in Wailea.
The 3 golf courses in Wailea are world class courses and are a short drive away. There are boating excursions(snorkel/dive/whale watching) that leave on a daily basis directly from the boat launch across the street.
You will not be disappointed with either the condo or its location.

We have both recently retired and moved to the west coast of BC after spending our working life in Edmonton/Sherwood Park, Alberta. We hope to avoid the worst of the BC winter in Maui and spend the rest of our time on the coast.

Why Barb or Sean McAllister chose Kihei
We have been coming to Maui since the late seventies and love it. Kihei has the best climate in the world! Kamaole Sands is located such that you do not need to get in your car every day. Restaurants and groceries are easily within walking distance. The beach is very safe and the beach combing is fantastic.
What makes this Condo unique
We have a large lanai that allows you to have up to six people for dinner outside. The view is terrific. We do not get direct sun on the lanai so it is always comfortable to sit outside.

One of the best condos at Kamaole Sands
We have been going to Maui for the past 10 years. We have always stayed at the Kamaole Sands. This condo is the nicest we have stayed in. It is very comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you will need. The condo has everything you will need at the beach, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, snorking gear and boogie boards It makes it even better that the owners Sean and Barb are great to work with. We have already booked the condo for our next Maui trip. The Kamaole Sands is maintained very well and is in a very good location. It is in South Maui which has the best weather on the island. It is close to many great restaurants in all price ranges. There is a great beach across the road and many more just a short drive away. Four great golf courses 15 minutes away. Beautiful well appointed condo
This truly is a gem. It is a beautifully furnished, well stocked condo. We are a family of 4 and our boys were 6 & 8 at the time of our trip. The condo had everything to make for a wonderful beach holiday. It had beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, coolers, boogie boards etc. The kitchen had everything you could imagine and made eating in a breeze. I would recommend this condo to anyone and would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you to Sean and Barb for making this such an easy holiday.
The view from the lanai was great. Unit was well maintained and well stocked with items for cooking as well as the lanai was well stocked with items to use at the beach. Well worth the price and I would highly recommend this unit for anyone needing a place for 4-6 people.
Absolutely loved this unit! What you see in the pictures, is exactly what you get! Beautiful, spacious unit. The kitchen is the most well stocked one I have ever seen. The condo has lots of natural light and the lanai is extra wide-we had no problem with 5 people around the table. Gorgeous views from the lanai too! Everything you could possibly want is in that kitchen; travel coffee mugs, blender, bowls, plates, bbq utensils, pots, pans, etc.The owners have thought of everything a vacationer might need (coolers, snorkels, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs). The entire complex is well cared for and is in the
perfect location. It is directly across from the beach and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The owners were wonderful to deal with and will definitely be coming back! I have no hesitation recommending this unit to family and friends.
Clean, spacious, great location
Highly recommended! We really enjoyed our stay. The complex and condo unit are very well looked after. It was just a short walk to the beach, and we made use of the beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. There was good snorkeling from the beach across the road from the condo and it was just a short distance further to the boat ramp to take a boat whale watching and snorkeling at Molokini crater. We ate at some local restaurants within walking distance - all we tried were good. We made use of the well appointed kitchen and BBQ at the condo complex. The beds were comfortable and the condo complex is quiet. The condo is bright, with lots of natural light and the large Lanai is shaded and offers relaxing views of the gardens with a glimpse of the ocean - so relaxing we lingered longer than we intended on the Lanai each day with our morning coffee. Great sunsets over looking the ocean each night from the park across the street. We definitely want to return.
Great Location! Beautiful condo
This condo was perfect and fit all of our needs. We stayed with another couple and there was plenty of room and privacy for both parties. The owners were excellent to work with and made us feel at ease with the booking process. The property was right across the street from the beach and the condo had everything we needed for a day at the beach. We highly recommend this property and look forward to coming back again and again.
We enjoy walking the beach. It is possible to walk along the ocean for miles in either direction from Kamaole Beach 3. Heading South takes you to Wailea and their beach path that ends at McKenna. Going North you can reach Cove Park etc.
