My biggest mistake was not paying attention to past reviews. I guess I figured the issues listed would be fixed 2 months later. They were not. The check in process was not good as the owner would not respond to the 6 phone calls or 3 texts that I sent him and no one seemed to know the room number. Come to find out it was part of the listing address. There were no directions for check in other than a door code. You have to go to a particular building and they give you the keys but they had no idea who was staying in which unit or where to find the room # in the reservation. The owner finally messaged me through VRBO 3 hours after the fact to make sure all was well. We walked in to a terrible smell and a huge box in the hallway containing a stroller along with another stroller and car seat in the hallway alone with someones backpack and sunglasses. The place smelled terrible. The beds were not made so our trip began with making beds although all linens were clean. The twin beds were extremely hard but the full in the master was very comfortable. The master bathroom had tile coming off from the wall and the sink backed up and would not drain.. It took 3:36 second for it to drain (yes it timed it and video taped it) The place had been wiped down but there was mold in the cracks and corners in the showers. There were 2 towels, no hand towels or wash cloths which is tough for a 4 day stay. The front door locked but needed special attention to make sure that it did indeed as the locking mechanism had been taken apart and was obviously missing pieces. The location was perfect for the attractions we were visiting but you could very easily find something of the same cost in much better shape. The biggest problem with this location was the owner. He had no care or concern for his renter. it took us 30 minutes to get into the unit after driving for 6 hours and he did not respond to my requests for how to get in until 3 hours later. When he responded he was rude and dismissive of my concerns stating that I should contact him only if I had "anything practical to tell him about" That is insane! If pictures can be attached I will but do not rent this place! It is not worth it at all and I am no where near a picky renter!
There is extensive information provided in the Welcome Guide to make all my guests comfortable and well informed. I truly wish Stacie had noticed the all the useful and helpful information I carefully posted prominently in multiple places in the Welcome Guide. Fortunately she eventually noticed the information, but unfortunately in her mind the fault was all mine.
This is a complete dump. It’s not clean. Bathroom wall tile installation not complete and there are several other incomplete repair project. Piece of drywall left behind the refrigerator. Beds not made. I had to buy towels and bedding at a nearby store.
This customer lied, claiming they left immediately, trying to get a refund. They were provided clean towels and sheets that were used and they stayed the entire time, leaving the place littered with dirty dishes and food debris.
Don’t be fooled by pictures!
Everyone we talked to was blown away by how deceiving pictures can be! I cleaned this place from top to bottom. Went out and bought cleaning supplies and towels/wash clothes. Then it was straight to the laundry to wash bedding. The one thing I didn’t see was bugs! Had this not been the last leg of an expensive trip or had there been bugs I would have never opened a suitcase! The property is not well maintained. This was not the fault of the person I rented from. I am sure they must have been suckered into a timeshare at this place. I felt even worse for the people we spoke to from Denmark. They had paid for everything in advance of coming to Orlando including the breakfast bar. They warned us to steer clear saying the food was horrible! Luckily we were only there for 3-4 nights. Stay away from the Enclave! When we checked in they were very pushy trying to get us to go to a timeshare presentation as well.
Although the location of this property was exactly what I needed, that’s where the good ends. There was a complete lack of communication with the property manager to the point where the night before I was supposed to arrive, I was calling VRBO for instructions. Upon arrival the facility was ok. It must be undergoing repairs because there were many little things that looked undone: doors with locks missing. there were doors that didn’t even open and elevators that weren’t working at night; we were on the 8th floor. Our specific unit had a musty smell when you entered, tiles were missing in the bathrooms, things were dirty, furniture was old and unkempt and we each had ONE towel for a 4 night stay. No hand towel or wash cloth or even a bath mat. And of course no laundry service. Will never stay here again.
Not as advertised...
We started off on the wrong foot when we were told by the front desk that we couldn't use the shuttle service, even though the listing states shuttle was included. Once we got to the condo we noticed a bad smell along with several items that needed to be fixed or replaced. There were missing tiles in the master bath, and the shower and sink did not drain properly. Overall the condo looked unkempt and needed a deep cleaning. The bedding and drapes were old and stained and we were only given 4 towels and no wash cloths for a 7 night stay. We tried to contact the owner multiple times but the responses were slow when they did come. Other minor issues: no tv remote, only 21 channels (most were shopping channels) and only 1 TV. Hairdryer didn't work. The Enclave was nice but I would look elsewhere.
It’s in a great location
It’s a great location and has access to pool and other amenities. It’s not fancy and needs some updating and the water pressure is not ideal but doable and gets the job done. I still had a great stay and it was comfortable.
